Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

Underground Prison:

Rhys Perry’s eyes flickered with a dangerous glint. Though he was in an unfavorable situation right now, he knew that his family wouldn’t give up.

It would be a matter of time before they learned about his disappearance. But he didn’t know whether his father could locate him.

Not only him, Aaron Perry and Milo were locked up here as well. He had heard their voices before; they were locked up in adjacent cells.

His eyes flashed with a chill.

“To think I was here because of a failed plan again,” he let out a bitter laugh.

From the beginning to end, they couldn’t do anything to that kid. His precious black token was still with that kid.

Not only had he failed to collect his black token, but he had also failed to find his son Charon’s killer. He ended up in this miserable state.

On the other hand, Aaron Perry and Milo woke up as well. Their eyes had lost their luster. They had lost hope. They knew betrayal would cost them their lives.

At least they had had the opportunity to escape before. But Rhys Perry’s appearance had disrupted their plan. In the end, they were captured by the Guardians and imprisoned here.

“I knew this would happen,” Aaron Perry said to himself.

They were caught off guard by Elder Stella, Paul Lin, and Ross. He didn’t know about Supreme Wizard Phylia’s appearance. Otherwise, he would have been petrified on the spot.

Whereas Milo leaned back against the wall. He didn’t dare to do anything right now. If he gave up, he could at least save his life.

From MC’s Perspective:

Paul Lin’s office,

“Vincent, did you hear the news?” Paul Lin asked.

Hearing that, I didn’t know what to say for a second. But I looked at him and replied, “Yes, the students in my class were shocked and surprised.”

“Now, I understand why Rhys Perry has returned. You should not go outside for the time being. They’re already after your life.”

“They might take this chance to kill you,” Paul Lin added.

“I know. I will be staying here,” I replied.

Then we spoke about a few other things. But the conversation was nothing like before. I decided to maintain a distance.

So I didn’t develop the conversation further. I left the office a few minutes later.

Paul Lin sighed inwardly. He noticed that Vincent Carey was not as enthusiastic as before. He was clearly maintaining a line.

“Looks like it’s irreversible,” Paul Lin sighed to himself.

Time passed.

After the lectures were over, I decided to practice in the mana chamber. Only practice could help me avoid all the distractions.

After arriving at the 2nd floor, I entered the facility. There were seniors here, but no one disturbed me.

I found an available room before entering inside.

Creak!

The door behind me closed automatically. Then I walked up to the console to activate the chamber.

Boom!

A powerful rush of mana started entering the chamber. In the blink of an eye, it covered the room. I stepped onto the platform and sat cross-legged on the ground.

I closed my eyes and started practicing the Gravity Ark Mental Method.

The Perry Family:

Time passed.

The current Family Head, Cooper, was extremely busy. The news had sent shockwaves across the True Elements Society Territory.

The Aristocratic Families were hit hard. They were taken aback by surprise. They feared that the Perry Family might burn the bridges and start acting against the True Elements Society.

The other families were not ready yet. It was foolish to take action before understanding the full strength of the True Elements Society.

The True Elements Society had been standing there long before their families. Deep down, everyone was afraid of the True Elements Society.

It’s just that they had been slowly eroding and acquiring resources from the True Elements Society. All of it was done through legal means.

But if they burned the bridges, it would be the same as rebellion.

Cooper was getting a headache. He knew this would happen. That’s why he had been delaying. But his father had spoiled everything.

He couldn’t help but think of Rhys Perry. But there was no sign of Rhys Perry in the Family Estate. He suspected Rhys Perry had gone to find his son’s killer.

Deep down, he felt it was too late for that. The killer might have escaped by now.

Suddenly, he found someone entering the study room.

Father!

When he saw the person, he stood up. Callen Perry sat opposite him in the seat.

“How were the reactions?” Callen Perry asked.

“It was as we had anticipated. The Aristocratic Families are not ready to burn the bridges yet. And they don’t want us to take any rash action.”

“If we do, this might give Head Howard a chance to attack others as well,” Cooper replied.

“Humph, I don’t care about others,” Callen snorted.

“The True Elements Society has the protection of Magic Formations. Even for a Magic Lord, it’s difficult to crack it,” he added.

“Are you going to wait for Head Howard’s return?” Cooper asked.

“Let’s wait and watch for now,” Callen replied.

“Father, how are you going to find Rhys’ son’s killer?” Cooper asked.

“Didn’t we know there was a kid named Vincent Carey who stayed in the Perry Hotel?” Callen asked.

“Father, he is nobody. The killer is someone else,” Cooper reminded him.

“Even if we don’t get any valuable information from that kid, there are plenty of ways to find the identity of the killer,” Callen said.

He had his own circles of friends. Some of them had unique magic. He believed his friends’ circle could help him.

Cooper didn’t know what was on his father’s mind.

But he knew it was impossible to catch that kid unless he came outside of the campus, which was never going to happen.

“Where is your daughter?” Callen asked.

Hearing that, Cooper’s eyes flickered.

“She is at the campus,” he replied.

“Good, tell her to bring that kid outside. As long as the kid appears in the main city, I’ll capture him,” After saying that, he left.

Cooper didn’t know how to react. Like the Aristocratic Families, he was not ready to burn the bridges. But his father had spoken.

Cooper shook his head before sending a message to Leona Perry.

…

Bloodline Beast Department:

Leona, who was in her department ready to leave, was stopped by the message sent by her father. After reading the message, she touched her forehead in surprise.

She thought that her family had decided to start from the blood of Vincent Carey. But the main problem for them was that Vincent Carey always stayed on campus.

She should have attacked him in the Perry Family Hotel. At that time, she didn’t think things would become like this.

“What to do?”

“He doesn’t have any friends.”

“He is the perfect example of a loner,” Leona said to herself.

It’s not like they didn’t know. They had tried out all the methods. But it had become difficult to lure out Vincent Carey.

More importantly, Council Elder Aaron Perry was not seen in the Family Estate or here. She thought that he had gone with her uncle.

So she could rely on herself right now. As she continued to ponder, she thought of something important.

“Since he has no friends in the class, what if we try capturing Elder Paul Lin?” she said in her heart.

Everyone knew that Paul Lin stood behind Vincent Carey. That’s why they had failed to do anything during the council meeting back then.

She made a firm decision in her heart. She decided to leave and discuss it with her father first.

…

Time passed.

Late at night, there was a meeting happening in the study room. The meeting was between Leona Perry, Cooper, and Callen Perry.

“Leona, will this plan work?” Cooper asked.

“Father, he has no friends on campus. He is a pure loner. He only speaks to lecturers and elders. He doesn’t even speak to his classmates much,” she replied.

“What a kid.”

“He is making things difficult for us. How could someone be this lonely?” Cooper thought to himself.

But he didn’t dare to voice it out. Otherwise, his father would have slapped him.

“It’s not a good plan. Attacking Council Elder Paul Lin would be like going against the True Elements Society. This will give Howard even more reason to press us,” Old Man Callen said in a solemn tone.

Suddenly, he thought of something before looking at his granddaughter.

“Leona, I heard your master is going to end his retreat. Would you ask him to help us?”

“He just has to capture and hand over the kid to us. We will take care of everything,” Callen said.

Cooper’s expression changed drastically.

“Father, the Supreme Wizard won’t do it for free. He would definitely charge us. I’m afraid he would ask for more,” Cooper said with great difficulty.

“Humph, what’s with this little money? It’s about the face of the Perry Family. Once we succeed, not only could we find my grandson’s killer, but we can also dominate the Aristocratic Families,” Callen said with a sinister smile.
