God's Imitator

Li Renshu looked at everyone, ”Actually, we’ve discussed this enough, let’s just vote directly.

”Should we do a show of hands, or use the community’s anonymous voting?”

Everyone said, ”A show of hands is fine.”

Many people already had answers in their hearts, and this wasn’t anything particularly offensive, so there was no need to specially arrange an anonymous vote.

Li Renshu nodded, ”Alright, then those who choose Fu Chen, please raise your hands.”

She raised her hand first, then looked around and found that besides herself, three people raised their hands: Wang Yongxin, Yang Yuting, and Zheng Jie.

”What about those who choose Officer Cao?”

No one raised their hands.

Of course, this didn’t mean most people didn’t recognize Cao Haichuan, it was just that compared to the other two candidates, Cao Haichuan didn’t have particularly outstanding characteristics.

”What about those who choose me?”Li Renshu looked at everyone and found that five people had raised their hands.

They were Jiang He, Cai Zhiyuan, Fu Chen, Xu Tong, and Zhou Guifen.

Those who didn’t raise their hands in any of the three rounds naturally abstained.

Li Renshu and Fu Chen were essentially voting for each other, but the final result was still Li Renshu having one more vote.

From the voting pattern and the spontaneous nature of the discussion, this vote definitely hadn’t gone through prior organization and consultation. Everyone voted according to their first impression.

This result might also have some element of chance.

Li Renshu hesitated, ”It’s only a one-vote difference. Should we have everyone vote again with mandatory participation?”

Fu Chen shook his head, ”No need. I think it’s quite good for you to manage the immunity ticket. I’m at ease with that.”

Since Fu Chen himself had already made such a statement, others couldn’t continue to insist.

Li Renshu thought seriously, ”Alright, if everyone really hopes for me to safeguard this immunity ticket, then I must explain to everyone my principles for using this ticket.

”If everyone doesn’t approve, then we’ll change people immediately.

”My principle is that when using the immunity ticket to save people, I won’t distinguish between strong or weak. Whoever first shows clear death risk will get it.

”Of course, during the month after the immunity ticket is used, everyone can reduce death risk by participating less in games and adopting conservative game strategies.

”When two people simultaneously face death risk and only one can be saved, I’ll choose to save the person more important to the community with greater contributions.

”Besides this, there are some specific situations where I won’t save people.

”If this person has to some degree damaged community stability and unity, acted unilaterally in games without following team strategy leading to their own crisis, or made clear betrayal actions in games, in all these situations, I won’t save them.”

Everyone nodded, ”Mm, reasonable.”

These situations of ’not saving’ certainly included some subjective judgment.

For example, what actions counted as damaging community stability and unity? How to determine acting unilaterally and not following team strategy? What constituted clear betrayal actions?

All these had certain ambiguous space.

As long as Li Renshu was willing, she could blur things over or make mountains out of molehills.

Just like proposing motions, the space available for ambiguity was precisely the manifestation of power but this was unavoidable, because this subjective judgment was exactly why everyone chose one person to manage this immunity ticket. It was inevitable.

With no opposition, the person to manage immunity ticket usage rights was decided to be Li Renshu.

Li Renshu looked at Wang Yongxin again, ”Then for the two veto votes, one definitely goes to Brother Wang, since Brother Wang contributed one-third of the money for this ticket.

”As for the other vote, it should undoubtedly go to Lawyer Lin, but since Lawyer Lin doesn’t want it, does everyone have other candidates?”

After Li Renshu gained usage rights for the immunity ticket, power was actually further concentrated.

Of course, from Li Renshu’s reaction, she seemed more inclined to have Fu Chen manage this ticket, and didn’t want too much power concentrated in her own hands, as this might make her feel somewhat overwhelmed but there was no choice. Since voting had decided, they could only accept this result.

In this situation, veto power absolutely had to give Wang Yongxin one vote, regardless of any reason but the candidate for the other vote became a problem.

Originally, Lin Sizhi was the best candidate, but he himself didn’t want it.

Although quite a few people including Wang Yongxin had voted for Fu Chen earlier, they were more inclined to have Fu Chen get usage rights rather than veto power.

And even giving Fu Chen veto power would be meaningless. With Fu Chen’s personality, he most likely wouldn’t use this power.

And giving veto power to Cao Haichuan or Cai Zhiyuan would lead to even more power concentration.

Li Renshu looked at Lin Sizhi, ”Lawyer Lin, if you don’t want veto power, you can designate someone yourself, or give a suggestion.”

Lin Sizhi thought briefly, ”Then give it to Qin Yao.”

Qin Yao said, ”Ah? Me?”

Li Renshu thought about it and nodded with satisfaction, ”Mm, not bad, then it’s Qin Yao.”

In Qin Yao’s bewildered state, this matter was decided.

These two veto votes represented the interests of different groups outside the five-person group.

Wang Yongxin’s veto vote, besides representing himself, also represented Yang Yuting and Xu Tong who were relatively close to him, as well as those who earned more visa time.

At this point they still lacked someone to represent the weak.

Qin Yao, Zhou Guifen, Zheng Jie and other relatively weak people who needed care were also part of the community. Their joint control of one veto vote representing the weak could also play a certain balancing role.

Jiang He was also very happy with this result.

”Perfect result! Should we go vote now?”

Among the three people managing the immunity ticket, two were women, which was a result Jiang He was very pleased to see, even though she wasn’t among them.

Soon, everyone passed the proposal vote, then spent 300,000 minutes of visa time from the luxury goods fund to purchase an immunity ticket.

This ticket had no physical form and was very convenient to use: Li Renshu could say at any time and place that she was using the immunity ticket on a certain community player, and it would take effect with oral secondary confirmation.

Secretly using it was also impossible, as all players could check the usage records of this ticket.

If everyone was dissatisfied with the person managing the immunity ticket, they could also change it through proposals.

Using this ticket was significant power, but Li Renshu also had to be cautious, because incorrectly using this ticket would cause all the political reputation she had worked hard to accumulate to go bankrupt, making her completely lose all the power she previously possessed.

...

Afterward, everyone also compiled a consumption list for the luxury goods fund.

This included expenses for tonight’s dinner. Besides sumptuous meals, there was also the high-end red wine and champagne Wang Yongxin had been thinking about.

Additionally, targeting everyone’s special needs, some quotas were allocated for purchases. For example, Cao Haichuan bought some good cigarettes, Yang Yuting bought some cosmetics she previously couldn’t bear to buy, Cai Zhiyuan bought two sets of high-end sportswear, and Zheng Jie bought two relatively expensive tea cakes.

In short, most people bought some things they usually couldn’t bear to purchase.

Actually, if there hadn’t been the immunity ticket, everyone might have spent more lavishly but considering that buying the immunity ticket had already cost 300,000, everyone restrained themselves somewhat, ultimately only spending over 20,000 visa time.

Then everyone began enthusiastically preparing dinner.
