God's Imitator

Wang Yongxin paused slightly and continued, ”Whether there are more or fewer smart people in a community mainly depends on comparison.

”Luo Wei might think that Community 17 at most has only four or five people who could barely be considered smart, which is a low proportion.

”But in other communities, situations where the entire community has only one or two smart people are also not uncommon.

”Take Community 3, strictly speaking, doesn’t it only have Lu Xinyi as the one truly smart person? Yet their performance in games wasn’t bad either.

”Moreover, the Gallery’s games aren’t all tests of intelligence. If the Gallery only wanted to screen for smart people, then as long as there was one mathematician among the God’s Imitators who posed a few very complex math problems, it would be enough to eliminate over ninety percent of the New World’s players.

”But the Gallery wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen.

”So, although my philosophy isn’t completely aligned with Li Renshu and the others, I agree with her viewpoint of maintaining diversity in the general direction of community building.

”What both the community and the Gallery have shown so far is encouragement of diversity.

”And this kind of community building itself requires time and energy, it has to be completed gradually.

”It’s like two castles: although Community 17’s castle doesn’t have a place for me, it’s tall, solid, and well-developed. Other castles, perhaps I could find a position if I went there, but they’re broken down and full of holes. Even if I started building from scratch, I might not be able to build them well.”Since that’s the case, I’d rather stay here. As long as no one here intends to harm me, then I’ll wait, wait for the day when I have a chance to enter the power core.”

Yang Yuting was somewhat doubtful, ”Can you really wait for that?”

Wang Yongxin nodded, ”Of course, situations will change in both the community and the Gallery.

”Currently, visa time can’t buy too many special things, but what if it can later?

”Perhaps after everyone has more visa time, the community will open up some expensive items for everyone to purchase?

”And are the core members of our community definitely not going to die? If someone in the five-person group dies, and the Gallery’s games become even more dangerous, they’ll need me more and will be forced to include me in the core circle.

”For me now, staying in Community 17 and waiting patiently is the best choice.

”Rashly switching to a completely unfamiliar community would be foolish. Even as a businessman, one can’t make decisions that are full of risks but don’t have much significant benefit.

”So, I’m not planning to switch now.”

Yang Yuting nodded, ”Yes, indeed, that’s what I think too. Community 17 in my view is already the most perfect state I can imagine, and other communities don’t have any special attraction for me.

”But we should still maintain our small group, right? Although it’s hard to gather five people, if some extreme situation really occurs, we can at least protect ourselves by urgently rallying one or two people.”

Wang Yongxin nodded, ”Of course.”

He stood up, ”Alright, don’t think so much about it. Go back and rest well.”

...

Leaving the third floor, Yang Yuting and Wang Yongxin took different staircases to return to their rooms but Yang Yuting had just arrived on the second floor when she saw Jiang He waiting at her door.

”Hmm? Is there something?”

Jiang He nodded, ”Can we chat for a bit?”

Yang Yuting couldn’t help but smile wryly, this feeling of ”12 people having 100 small groups” was becoming increasingly obvious.

However, Jiang He was after all someone she had previously tried to rally, and since she was now actively seeking her out for a chat, there was naturally no reason to refuse.

”Of course, let’s find a quieter place.”

The two returned to the third floor again and randomly found a corner room.

Previously, Yang Yuting had talked with both Jiang He and Qin Yao.

The reactions of these two were somewhat different: Qin Yao appeared quite resistant and didn’t give a clear answer afterward, so Yang Yuting naturally didn’t bring up the matter again.

Of course, on the surface, they were still good sisters.

As for Jiang He’s reaction, it was different. She had shown clear interest from the beginning and was inclined to build a small group, but afterward she always displayed a kind of distant attitude toward Wang Yongxin.

Take this ’Conglomerate Nation’ for example, although Jiang He had played a certain role in the game, the one who really planned and strategized was obviously Wang Yongxin.

The main credit for the three of them being able to bring out so much visa time from the game naturally belonged to Wang Yongxin but Jiang He didn’t show much gratitude to Wang Yongxin, instead her relationship with Yang Yuting and Xu Tong became obviously much closer.

Yang Yuting didn’t quite understand why this situation occurred, and this was a good opportunity to find out.

So far, although the players of Community 17 had experienced some games together, and many people were quite close in daily life within the community, truly knowing each other inside out and becoming completely trusted friends was still too rare.

They were all adults, and everyone inevitably had some ulterior motives.

It was somewhat like colleagues at work or neighbors in an apartment building. Even with frequent contact, even after experiencing some things together, even if they seemed very close on ordinary days, they could never become friends or relatives.

Jiang He smiled and said, ”Yuting, I think you performed very well in ’Conglomerate Nation’!

”Especially at the beginning when negotiating with the conglomerate community, this strategy mainly relied on your acting skills and affinity to complete.

”Without you, this strategy would have been very difficult to implement.”

Yang Yuting was suddenly praised and felt somewhat confused, ”Ah, that was mainly because Brother Wang’s strategy was formulated quickly enough. Of course, the three of us each performed our duties and cooperated well.”

Jiang He shook her head, ”But I think if it were you, you should also have been able to think of this strategy, right? I’ve always thought you’re an excellent person.

”Your previous profession was also a company executive.

”I think both you and Brother Wang are elites, there’s no fundamental difference in ability.”

Yang Yuting was momentarily speechless and hurriedly explained, ”No, no, no, you might have some misunderstanding about me.

”Because that was a company my family opened.

”I’m sorry I didn’t explain clearly before, but I also never emphasized that I was very capable...”

Jiang He was stunned, ”Ah, okay.”

She didn’t dwell on this issue and continued, ”Anyway, I’ve been considering what you said to me before.

”I still very much agree with your viewpoint.

”But I think Brother Wang’s plan doesn’t seem very feasible, right? You can see that Brother Wang actually has a hard time squeezing into the core, right?

”And if we help Brother Wang squeeze in, or help Brother Wang squeeze out Li Renshu, what benefit would that be to us?”

Yang Yuting didn’t quite understand, ”The benefit would be... we can band together for self-protection? Reject those proposals that are unfavorable to us?”

Jiang He shook her head, ”In that case, we actually don’t need to do anything. Renshu herself is also a woman, how could she pass proposals unfavorable to us?

”I am indeed somewhat dissatisfied with the five-person core you mentioned, but I have no objections to Renshu at all.

”I even think that having Renshu as the leader of our community is the best result.

”I just think that the current structure within the community is a pattern of comprehensive male suppression of females, isn’t it? Isn’t Renshu in a state where she’s fighting alone?

”Don’t you think that among the four people assisting Renshu in this five-person group, it should be two men and two women to be appropriate?

”Or at least there should be one female?

”This gender composition is very unbalanced, isn’t it?”

This statement surprised Yang Yuting somewhat, she found it hard to imagine these words coming from Jiang He’s mouth but after thinking about it carefully, she felt it wasn’t so outrageous, because she could often see Jiang He getting close to Li Renshu in daily life, and she couldn’t even remember when this situation began.

Obviously, if she had to choose between Li Renshu and Wang Yongxin, Jiang He would 100% choose Li Renshu, without a doubt.

Yang Yuting asked, ”So what’s your idea?”

Jiang He seemed to have thought about it for a long time and said without hesitation, ”It’s simple. Previously, we might indeed not have been able to do anything.

”But now, Renshu has already become the absolute core of our community. Fu Chen is completely no match for her. This is her excellent performance.

”Our power core is an excellent woman, which is something very worth celebrating.

”Lawyer Lin and Officer Cao are of course indispensable, and I completely approve of the two of them assisting Renshu.

”But what about Fu Chen and Cai Zhiyuan?

”I think we two aren’t any worse than them, are we?

”At least, your ability is much stronger than Fu Chen’s, right?”
