God's Imitator

Afternoon.

Cao Haichuan was smoking in the outdoor area while reviewing the game rules he had organized on white paper.

Li Renshu handed him the ’Luxury Goods Proposal’ she had prepared.

”Cai Zhiyuan, Lawyer Lin, and Fu Chen have all looked at it and think it’s fine. Officer Cao, please take a look too.”

Cao Haichuan exhaled a puff of smoke and took it, quickly scanning through it, ”Hmm, if you all think there’s no problem, then there definitely isn’t. I’m not good at this kind of thing, so you don’t really need to ask me.”

Li Renshu took back the proposal, ”This is a necessary procedure.”

She didn’t leave immediately but sat down nearby for the moment.

”Last night... Jiang He came to find me.

”Well... how should I put it, I didn’t completely understand what she meant, but it seems like she wants to join our discussions of some important topics?

”Between the lines, she kept saying she hopes to get more opportunities, that she should be able to do better than Fu Chen.”Cao Haichuan was somewhat puzzled, ”Would this kind of thing trouble you? Just ignore it.

”Of course, I think it’s fine to let more female players participate in discussions. I’ve always felt I’m somewhat redundant in this five-person group.

”Actually, whether you discuss these topics with me or not, I’m not particularly concerned about them.

”I can withdraw and focus on studying game rules and trying to find God’s Imitators in various communities. You can absorb a new member, which might be more helpful for community stability.

”Whether it’s Wang Yongxin, Yang Yuting, or Jiang He, I think any of them would be fine.”

Li Renshu shook her head, ”No, no, no, I still think you and Fu Chen are indispensable. No one else can replace your roles.

”I’m telling you this mainly because I find it a bit strange. Why would Jiang He suddenly have this kind of thinking?

”What she said to me carried some political awareness, but she clearly hadn’t made any statements during previous proposal discussions, right?

”This contrast makes me feel very strange.

”I wanted to ask for your opinion, Officer Cao. Do you think Jiang He could possibly be a God’s Imitator?”

Cao Haichuan couldn’t help but smile wryly, ”Her? Both you and I have a higher probability of being God’s Imitators than her.”

Li Renshu was momentarily speechless, ”I just feel that Jiang He’s behavior is a bit abnormal. If she’s a God’s Imitator who’s very good at hiding herself, it’s not impossible, right?

”Maybe every time she asks some very stupid questions and shows rather low emotional intelligence, it’s a deliberate disguise?”

Cao Haichuan thought seriously about it but still shook his head, ”I still don’t think it’s likely. She’s very unlikely to be a God’s Imitator.

”There’s no particularly clear reason, it’s just intuition about people.

”Of course, your suspicion isn’t entirely unreasonable. If you’re really concerned about it, just pay more attention yourself.”

...

After about another half hour, the community hall began broadcasting the specific content of this new proposal and opened a one-hour limited vote.

[A player has submitted a proposal, which has passed community review.]

[In the next hour, please have all members enter the ’Community Management Office’ or vote anonymously on their personal computers.]

[If this proposal receives more than half the support, it will be implemented as a basic rule.]

[Proposal Content: Addition of ’Community Luxury Goods Fund’ related rules.]

[1. All players in the community may voluntarily donate any amount of visa time to the ’Community Luxury Goods Fund.’]

[2. This fund may only be used to purchase ’luxury goods’ from the community store, namely all other goods that are not daily necessities and are relatively expensive.]

[3. Each time this fund is used, a detailed materials purchase list must be submitted and voted on by all community members, with more than half agreeing considered passed.]

[4. The top 3 contributors to this fund will have veto power over proposals. (When there are ties among the top three, all tied parties may have veto power.)]

[5. Materials purchased using the ’Community Luxury Goods Fund’ may be freely allocated and used among players, and are not considered trading behavior.]

Li Renshu had already consulted with most key members, so the voting was just a simple formality.

Wang Yongxin was also quite satisfied with this proposal, especially Article 4, the veto power.

This point was very important.

Without this clause, Wang Yongxin would have hesitated about throwing money into this luxury goods fund and wouldn’t have given too much.

Because he would worry about situations where ”the heir doesn’t feel bad about selling the grandfather’s land.”

If only a simple majority was needed, then if Li Renshu and others really came up with an extravagant proposal, gathering seven people to agree wouldn’t be too difficult.

After all, they’d all be spending other people’s money.

This luxury goods fund was all voluntary donations, and the donation amounts from different players might vary greatly, so they couldn’t completely copy the community welfare system.

Those who donated more money should rightfully have some privileges.

Veto power was a nice privilege.

This wasn’t a requirement Wang Yongxin had proposed, but a clause Li Renshu had actively provided after comprehensively considering the nature of this fund.

Soon, the vote passed.

[Voting completed.]

[Now announcing the anonymous voting results:]

[In favor: 12 votes.]

[Against: 0 votes.]

[The ’Community Luxury Goods Fund’ related rules are established.]

[Players may voluntarily donate visa time and check each player’s cumulative donation amount to this fund at any vending machine or personal computer.]

Seeing this result, everyone in the hall was very happy.

”Another unanimous vote!”

”Not bad, our community’s opinions are becoming more and more unified, and it’s not superficial unity, but genuine mutual recognition from the heart.”

”Then please, bosses, make your moves! Today’s dinner depends entirely on the bosses’ generosity.”

”This scene reminds me of emoji expressions begging for red envelopes.”

Wang Yongxin had been waiting for this result. Without any hesitation, he was the first to raise his hand and say, ”Let me start, since I was the first to advocate for this proposal, I should naturally set an example.

”I’m donating one hundred thousand.”

Everyone was in an uproar.

”Ah? Brother Wang, one hundred thousand? Did I hear that wrong?”

”I might not have slept well and am having hallucinations.”

”No way, Boss Wang, isn’t that a bit too generous? One hundred thousand minutes of visa time! That’s almost enough to buy lives in games.”

”Although it’s for buying luxury goods, we don’t need that much money right now, do we?”

Obviously, this number completely exceeded most people’s psychological expectations.

Moreover, Wang Yongxin seemed to have said this number without any thought or hesitation, which made many people even more shocked.

Li Renshu wasn’t particularly surprised, just smiled and gave a thumbs up, ”Boss Wang is generous!

”Everyone else shouldn’t feel pressured. Let me emphasize again, this fund is for buying luxury goods, it’s completely voluntary, donate as much or as little as you can afford.

”Especially those who are key targets of community welfare, since you finally earned some visa time, it’s better to keep it and spend it slowly yourselves.”
