God's Imitator

Luo Wei was stunned, ”Why?

”If we can only send one person to departure, our two communities definitely can’t cooperate, but sending 2 people to departure, our two communities can completely send one each!

”Community 12 has no reason to refuse, right?”

Han Mengying sighed, ”Then do you think, between He Ming and Zhou Rong, who would be willing to send the other away?

”Fan Zehui might somewhat be willing to be the one sacrificed, but Zhou Rong won’t sacrifice herself to save He Ming, because she’s looked down on He Ming from the beginning. Conversely, He Ming absolutely couldn’t save Zhou Rong either, because He Ming doesn’t have much visa time left himself.

”Although everyone will have 50,000 deducted, earning a few thousand more means having a few thousand less deducted.

”Neither of our communities has proposals for equal benefit distribution. Though sending one person to departure minimizes overall loss, even avoiding loss brings no benefit to those sacrificed.

”Do you think Community 12’s scattered state would willingly cooperate with you?

”As for our Community 4, we don’t mind helping you, but Qi Fan and I currently have no wealth and can only serve as backdrop to this plan.

”As long as either Zhou Rong or He Ming disagrees, this plan cannot be implemented.”Forget those theoretically optimal plans. If these people truly had such execution ability and team spirit, they wouldn’t have been left here.

”Now you have only one plan that’s actually executable: everyone equally divides investment returns.

”This is the only plan everyone can accept.”

Luo Wei’s face turned pale, her final hope dashed.

She would still try to persuade Community 12’s 3 people, but she knew in her heart the chances were slim.

”Then, at least go press work buttons together to get more returns? Accumulate as much total wealth as possible, save a little where we can.

”Although Fan Zehui still has hostility toward you, I can mediate.”

Han Mengying looked at the only remaining Conglomerate player with over 40,000 visa time, ”You’ll be reborn at the end of round 18. Go run some investments with Luo Wei, transfer as much wealth to her as possible.”

Then Han Mengying leaned against the wall, finding a slightly more comfortable position, ”I won’t bother struggling.

”I don’t want to be treated as a clown by Community 17 for a few thousand minutes of visa time. Even less would I bow to fools like Fan Zehui.”

Luo Wei sighed silently, ”Alright.”

She brought this Conglomerate player back to Fan Zehui’s side to continue their death struggle.

...

Luo Wei tried to persuade Zhou Rong and He Ming, but predictably failed.

Obviously, both were rather selfish people who couldn’t possibly lose thousands of minutes of visa time to save the other.

With Zhou Rong, He Ming, and Luo Wei all unwilling to give up returns, Luo Wei’s plan was impossible to implement.

Only Community 4’s other Conglomerate player, having more visa time, was willing to transfer his wealth to Luo Wei as much as possible but this caused Zhou Rong, He Ming, and Fan Zehui to refuse letting Luo Wei take more investment returns, as they couldn’t accept Luo Wei escaping alone.

Everyone now realized that Lin Sizhi’s promise to leave all final 4 rounds’ investment returns to them was indeed truthful.

Only the specific scenario was somewhat different from what they’d imagined.

Lin Sizhi’s design before leaving caused the returns they could obtain in the final 4 rounds to be far below theoretical limits.

In rounds 15 and 16, Lin Sizhi superficially maintained previous investment plans.

Lin Sizhi, Cai Zhiyuan, Qin Yao, and Zhou Guifen internally prioritized maximizing all investments, then these four conducted cross-investments with Luo Wei and the other four.

Previously they’d always used such plans, having Lin Sizhi’s four consume almost all investment return limits but actually, in rounds 15-16, after Lin Sizhi and others entered the notary office, they didn’t conduct internal investments, only made motions of entering the notary office.

Because they were about to flee and didn’t need more investments, but couldn’t appear abnormal.

Cross-investments between Lin Sizhi’s four and Luo Wei’s group proceeded normally but the problem was that Lin Sizhi’s four left at the timing near round 16’s end.

When they left, they took their portion of investment vouchers, so these returns wouldn’t materialize.

The small number of investment vouchers in Luo Wei’s four hands were basically equally divided returns or vouchers where investees received all returns.

This caused them to be unable to obtain previous investment returns in the final 4 rounds, greatly reducing wealth accumulation speed.

The only times they could substantially collect investment returns were rounds 19 and 20.

Current total wealth was 260,000. If they did nothing, after 4 rounds of shrinkage, total wealth would drop to only 100,000.

After struggling as much as possible, they could at most maintain total wealth around 290,000.

Regardless, earning a little more meant being deducted a little less.

Han Mengying shook her head somewhat helplessly, not knowing which was more ridiculous between ’peacefully awaiting death’ and ’death struggle.’

...

Round 20 ended.

Current ‘Old Age’ players no longer triggered ’rebirth’ rules. Everyone settled based on their current wealth values.

First were the five players who had gone to the ’Offshore Area.’

[Lin Sizhi’s wealth value is ’235,290,’ can bring back ’117,645 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Cai Zhiyuan’s wealth value is ’227,381,’ can bring back ’113,690 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Qin Yao’s wealth value is ’210,124,’ can bring back ’105,062 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Zhou Guifen’s wealth value is ’192,475,’ can bring back ’96,237 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Sun De’s wealth value is ’117,584,’ can bring back ’58,792 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Zhou Guifen is accepted by Community 17, becoming Community 17’s new Player No. 8.]

[Sun De will leave Community 4, allocated by rules to communities other than Communities 4, 12, and 17.]

Then the 7 Civilian players remaining in the game venue.

[Current Total Wealth: 293,532 minutes of visa time]

[This nation’s total wealth failed to meet standards.]

[Fan Zehui’s wealth value is ’63,839,’ can bring back ’6,384 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Zhou Rong’s wealth value is ’72,931,’ can bring back ’7,293 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[He Ming’s wealth value is ’67,891,’ can bring back ’6,789 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

[Luo Wei’s wealth value is ’88,871,’ can bring back ’8,887 minutes of visa time’ to the community.]

The other Conglomerate player transferred as much wealth as possible to Luo Wei through investment, then through his only death in round 18, also transferred his remaining inheritance to Luo Wei.

So the three Conglomerates including Han Mengying all ended with 0 wealth.

Though Luo Wei’s wealth seemed highest among these 7, this was the most unacceptable situation for her.

Because if Community 12’s three players had been willing to let her take more investment returns, she could have gathered 100,000 to depart and avoid punishment but Fan Zehui and others deliberately prevented her from taking more, fearing she’d escape alone.

[Due to visa time brought back to community being less than 10,000 minutes, the above 7 players will have an additional 50,000 minutes of visa time deducted, reduced to a minimum of 48 hours remaining.]

[Luo Wei is accepted by Community 4, becoming Community 4’s new Player No. 5.]

[Game Over.]
