God's Imitator

After that, Yang Yuting also stood from the female player’s perspective and briefly described her own game process, as well as the so-called ”optimal strategy” that Lu Xinyi told her.

Her ridiculous achievement of easily obtaining 3 likes in the first hour without doing anything left Zheng Jie stunned.

Lin Sizhi also introduced his strategy of spending money to buy likes, and briefly explained why multiple small denomination vouchers would be a better choice than one large denomination voucher.

Zheng Jie suddenly understood, ”No wonder Lawyer Lin, you got so many likes in the first 4 hours, and when you left the game you didn’t bring out much visa time. So you spent it in advance!

”I just feel that spending money like this is somewhat wasteful.”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”It’s not wasteful at all. In fact, this could be said to be the optimal strategy for male players in the early stage.

”Ensuring your own survival in the game is more important than earning visa time.

”Of course, most players couldn’t prophetically think that killing rules would be updated later, but since this game would ultimately give visa time to male players indiscriminately, and the game’s early stage revolved around ‘Likes’ as the core mechanism, then using visa time to exchange for likes would definitely be the most stable strategy.

”Zhong Yuanyuan’s original intention was to use 30,000 visa time to create imbalance between male and female players and intensify conflicts.

”But male players could also turn around and use this point to their advantage, using long-term benefits to reach stable cooperation strategies with female players.”This kind of interest-based cooperation is much more stable than cooperation based on morals or trust.

”In this game, finding trustworthy, stable meeting partners basically puts you in an invincible position.

”Giving female players some concessions doesn’t matter. After all, the final 30,000 minutes of income is real. Even if only 1 minute remains, it’s still profit. The key is whether the concessions can be exchanged for sufficient returns.”

Xu Tong was puzzled, ”But this method can only be used by male players, right?”

Cai Zhiyuan thought seriously for a moment, then shook his head, ”No, female players can also use it, just with different details.

”What do you think, how did Lu Xinyi get that 100% like rate? All through deception? I don’t think so.”

Everyone looked at Zheng Jie, then nodded one after another.

Obviously, the kind of deception Lu Xinyi displayed at the beginning could only fool newcomers like Zheng Jie, but wouldn’t work on smarter veterans.

Cai Zhiyuan continued, ”What Lu Xinyi said to Yang Yuting, that so-called ’optimal strategy,’ I think at least half of it was lies. You didn’t really believe it, did you?

”She was just fooling other female players. She most likely wouldn’t do that herself.

”When most female players are deceiving for visa time, someone like Lu Xinyi would most likely do the opposite.

”For example, she could completely choose ’Split’ or even ‘I’ll Pay’ after meeting with male players.

”Then propose that she always pays the room fee, in exchange for male players stably matching with her and stably giving her likes.

”What male players need 1000 minutes of visa time to achieve, female players can achieve with just 200 minutes of room fees.”

Yang Yuting suddenly understood, ”I see, that’s where the trap is!

”She lowered the moral standards of all female players, but lifted herself to moral high ground!

”Just by actively paying room fees, clearly doing the same thing as male players, but it’s enough to make male players grateful.

”It’s all strategy!”

Zheng Jie was somewhat confused, ”Huh? So that means Lu Xinyi didn’t scam money?”

Cai Zhiyuan shook his head, ”Not necessarily. Someone like her couldn’t possibly not scam money, just that her deception methods wouldn’t be so crude.

”She could completely use both strategies together: on one hand, use active payment and exchanging likes to find stable partners, securing a safety net for herself; on the other hand, occasionally match with some new players to scam money.

”Using different strategies for different players, maximizing benefits.

”In the first 4 hours, getting both likes and money.

”Of course, the prerequisite for doing this is being quite accurate at reading people.”

Zheng Jie listened with his mouth agape, ”...Someone like her in this game is like a fish in water, in an invincible position!

”Wait, Lawyer Lin, didn’t you encounter Lu Xinyi?

”I was wondering what it would be like if you two met in the meeting room...”

Wang Yongxin was somewhat helpless, ”What do you think?

”Both of them established fixed partners very early. Meeting each other would be a low-probability event, right?”

Lin Sizhi nodded, ”Yes, I confirmed three stable like-buying candidates very early, so I didn’t need to match with others anymore.

”Meeting Lu Xinyi would require using my brain, which isn’t necessary.

”I still prefer dealing with players with simpler minds.”

Li Renshu thoughtfully summarized, ”So, analyzing from a god’s perspective, the ’Blind Date Game’ indeed simulated blind date mechanisms, but actually it was an out-and-out killing game, full of malice.

”The God’s Imitator not only hid rules and incited hatred between players to make them kill each other, but also very maliciously formed illegal teams in the game. This was simply a planned massacre.

”Before entering the game, the Gallery said this game’s type was ’screening.’ I don’t quite understand what exactly was screened?”

Yang Yuting thought seriously, ”Perhaps precisely because it didn’t have a good ’screening’ effect, the Gallery’s evaluation of it wasn’t high?”

Jiang He was very puzzled, ”But similar games should be designed by many God’s Imitators together, right? Shouldn’t the Gallery select an optimal solution?”

Li Renshu shook her head, ”I don’t know.

”We currently know nothing about the Gallery’s standards for selecting games, nor do we understand the specific process of the Gallery assigning tasks to God’s Imitators.

”Let’s not speculate blindly. Overthinking might mislead ourselves instead.”

Wang Yongxin said calmly, ”I think, don’t understand the word ’screening’ so narrowly.

”Just like the Gallery’s definition of ’sinners’ or ’judgment,’ these are also broad concepts. People who haven’t violated laws are also pulled into judgment games.

”Screening can also be indiscriminate random screening.

”Like when big companies interview, if there are too many resumes, they might even randomly throw away some resumes. Euphemistically called, ’luck is also part of ability.’

”Like a natural disaster in nature causing a species to go extinct, this is also a kind of screening.

”The Gallery’s so-called ’screening games’ aim to eliminate some people, but the specific elimination criteria within can be very dynamic, even nonsensical.

”Don’t develop unnecessary misunderstandings about the Gallery because of previous S-rated games, thinking the Gallery will always maintain fairness and justice.

”How could that be possible?

”For the Gallery, it’s certainly good when God’s Imitators create S-rated games targeting human nature, but God’s Imitators creating B or even C-rated garbage games isn’t necessarily completely unusable either.

”The Gallery’s attitude toward God’s Imitators can be said to be extremely tolerant, even indulgent.

”If players die out, they can recruit more. If God’s Imitators die out, they can select more. For the Gallery, even if individual games have extremely unfair situations, it doesn’t matter at all, just like natural disasters in the real world. Who’s going to reason with you?

”If you encounter it, just consider yourself unlucky. Who can you blame for bad luck?

”True strong people, no matter how cruel the environment or how unfair the rules, must adapt. Survival of the fittest.

”For the Gallery, as long as there are enough players, as long as there are enough God’s Imitators, even if the rules aren’t that fair, as long as the general direction doesn’t deviate too much, the final cultivated poison will be excellent enough.

”So I think this ’screening game’ can be seen as an unfair, multi-standard elimination, or as some kind of attempt by the Gallery.

”As I said before, don’t think about whether it’s fair or not. Think about the optimal strategy for survival.”
