Seeing the voting results, small cheers erupted in the hall.

”Wow! Unanimous!”

”Really, so unified this time?”

”That’s reasonable, because Renshu’s plan was perfect, there’s no reason not to agree.”

Most people looked very happy.

Li Renshu also had a smile on her face, but she remained modest, ”Not at all, this is actually the result of everyone’s collective effort. I just spent a bit more time consolidating everyone’s opinions.

”I think it’s also good that there were opposing opinions on the recruitment candidate, after all, everyone has different expectations for new members.

”However, since this proposal has been finalized, I hope everyone can welcome this new member with an open and inclusive attitude, okay?”

Everyone nodded, ”No problem!”

With the three proposals passed, everyone felt relieved, as if their bodies had become much lighter.

As for why they didn’t vote for a ’Medical Supplies Manager,’ the reason was simple: everyone knew this position definitely belonged to the new member, so they would wait until he arrived to vote.

”Everyone worked hard, rest early!”

”Thanks for the hard work!”

”Good night everyone.”

Everyone stood up, said good night to each other, and walked up different staircases to return to the second floor to rest in twos and threes.

...

Lin Sizhi had just reached the stair landing when he suddenly heard someone calling him from behind.

”Lawyer Lin, wait a moment!”

Lin Sizhi turned around and saw it was Qin Yao.

”Mm? What’s the matter?”

Qin Yao’s expression was somewhat hesitant, ”There is something, but I’m not sure if I should ask you.”

Lin Sizhi thought for a moment, ”Then let’s find a place to chat casually.”

The two went to the third floor and found an empty small room.

It had to be said that the entire community was quite large. Whether it was this main building or the various supporting buildings around the community, they far exceeded the daily needs of 12 people.

It could be said that in normal times, ninety percent of the entire community was unoccupied.

The third floor was the same. These intricate small rooms had excellent privacy and strong soundproofing, as if they were specifically encouraging players to come here for private conversations.

Qin Yao hesitated for a moment and said, ”It’s like this, earlier Yang Yuting said she wanted to... sigh, what she said was somewhat complex, I didn’t quite understand, but roughly she wanted to unite somehow, to cast opposing votes together when necessary or something like that.”

Lin Sizhi nodded, ”Mm, so your question is?”

Qin Yao was somewhat surprised, ”Huh? Isn’t this already a problem? Someone in the community is forming a small clique!

”Lawyer Lin, why don’t you look surprised at all?”

Lin Sizhi smiled somewhat meaningfully, ”We 12 people have different genders, ages, educational backgrounds, professions, and naturally our ideologies and values are vastly different.

”It would be even more frightening if small groups didn’t appear, right?

”If everyone truly had exactly the same heart, I’d have to suspect there’s a cultist with mind control magic among these 12 people.”

Qin Yao deflated somewhat. Obviously, before finding Lin Sizhi, she should have gone through a lot of mental struggle, on one hand worrying whether her behavior was informing, and on the other hand worrying whether this small group would have unpredictable destructive effects if she didn’t speak up.

But judging from Lin Sizhi’s reaction, it turned out she was making a big fuss over nothing.

Qin Yao was somewhat dejected, ”Alright, I just feel that... Fu Chen and Li Renshu have always been thinking of everyone in the community, racking their brains to think of proposals, trying their best to comfort everyone and mediate conflicts, and in this process they have no additional benefits at all.

”Yet Yang Yuting still wants to form a small group to oppose them, which is somewhat inappropriate.

”Of course, I think Yang Yuting’s nature probably isn’t bad either, maybe she just has some kind of persecution complex? I don’t know, I’m talking nonsense.”

Lin Sizhi shifted his position to sit more comfortably on the sofa, ”Your statement has too many problems, I don’t even know where to start.

”How about this, I’ll give you two choices now:

”The first choice is you go back to sleep right now, then forget all of this completely. When voting, vote however you want to vote, and you don’t need to struggle with which side to stand on, just be a carefree onlooker enjoying the drama.

”I can guarantee that even if you do this, nothing will change at all.

”The second choice is I’ll give you some basic education. But once you’ve heard these words, the way this community looks in your eyes might undergo tremendous changes.

”This is called the ’curse of knowledge,’ meaning once you know certain knowledge, you can never return to your original carefree state.”

Qin Yao nervously fidgeted with her fingers, ”Lawyer Lin, you really look like an investigator from some Cthulhu novels right now...

”But I still want to know. I want to become as smart as you. I don’t want to drag everyone down in future games.”

Lin Sizhi nodded, ”Good, I respect your choice.

”Let me think, where should I start?

”Mm, let’s start with what you just mentioned. You said Fu Chen and Li Renshu have always been thinking of everyone in the community, racking their brains to think of proposals, comforting everyone and mediating conflicts, with absolutely no additional benefits.

”Are you sure there are no additional benefits?

”Benefits aren’t just visa time, there are other invisible things too.”
