*Haaaaa…* Yu Zi Yu exhaled a long, deep breath, calming his surging emotions.

The surprise had come too quickly, catching him off guard and making him lose his composure.

However, that was not important.

What mattered was that he had truly stepped into Tier-6, and also reached the Fourth Order, which was even rare in the previous era.

However, as Yu Zi Yu was breaking through, he was unaware that somewhere far away in the universe…

In a Star Domain known as Heaven-Connecting Star Domain…

Its name was self-explanatory. It was the sector of the universe where the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu had taken root.

Looking up, a gargantuan Divine Tree could be seen holding up a huge expanse of the starry sky, with even stars merely appearing as fruits on its branches.

It was extremely vast and majestic, supporting a stretch of cosmos.

And this was the current strongest being in the universe—Heaven-Connecting Jianmu, the emissary of Heaven, overseeing all things on behalf of Heaven.

And now, as if sensing something, the massive trunk suddenly trembled. Immediately afterward, a pair of glistening eyes, ancient and profound, gazed into the distant starry sky.

“What a remarkable prodigy…” In what seemed like admiration, a smile appeared on the face of this Divine Tree.

[An ordinary Willow Tree has actually, with his own power, come this far and even stepped into Tier-6! That’s no small feat! Not to mention, his Hierarchy of Life is beyond normal, reaching Fourth Order of Tier-6 in a single step!]

“Impressive, truly impressive…” the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu broke into another round of admiration, a look of satisfaction on his face.

After all, there was some karma between him and Yu Zi Yu. Thus, seeing this other Tree achieve such accomplishments now naturally brought him great joy.

[But…] As if recalling something, Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s gaze shifted to one leaf after another.

In an instant, images of one peerless powerhouse after another came into view.

One leaf showed the image of a Humanoid figure, so huge that even a planet may seem smaller. It was devoid of hair, and golden scales covered its entire body. Its narrow Divine Eyes were filled with coldness.

Its bloodlust was like the deep sea, akin to a God or Devil walking among Mortals.

This was the most dazzling prodigy of the Divine Titan Clan… a terrifying Tier-5 Transcendent.

On another leaf, the image of a woman with three pairs of snow-white wings, an extremely pure face, and a golden halo above her head appeared. This was the peerless prodigy of the Angel Clan—Divine Angel, who had long since stepped into Tier-5, reigning over the Angel Star Domain.

One after another, a total of twenty-seven leaves displayed a peerless powerhouse.

These were the twenty-seven most brilliant prodigies in the current universe. Each of them had reached the fearsome level of Tier-5. However, merely stepping into Tier-5 was not enough to catch Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s attention.

What truly mattered to Heaven-Connecting Jianmu was that each of these powerhouses was extraordinarily talented, truly ‘peerless’ with unrivaled reputations.

They either ruled over a planet or reigned supreme in a Star Domain. Each and every one of them was backed by formidable Forces.

Yet now…

These twenty-seven peerless prodigies all had to take a back seat, for at this moment, a leaf radiating a faint glow had risen above them.

And on this leaf… there was an image of a Towering Tree that seemed to hold up a stretch of the starry sky, with nine colossal vortexes resembling stars encircling it…

“If these prodigies knew that someone has already stepped into Tier-6 at this time, they would never sit still…” With a playful smile, Heaven-Connecting Jianmu glanced at the powerhouses depicted on the other leaves.

[Now, these ambitious kids have actually been outpaced by a mere Tree. If spoken aloud, hardly anyone would believe it! However, it doesn’t matter. Soon, very soon… With the current rate of expansion of this Immortal Tree, it will soon come into contact with the Titan Star Domain. And at that time, the entire Titan Star Domain will come to understand what true ‘unparalleled talent’ really means!]

[No, it won’t stop there. After all, the Titan Star Domain is currently at war with the Angel Star Domain… Once Titan Star Domain comes to know about him, then it won’t be long before the Angel Star Domain gets to know him as well. When that time comes, the real drama will unfold!]

[I’m really looking forward to that day, I really do. Although this Immortal Tree can already be called the ‘Greatest Prodigy of the Era’… A prodigy is still just a prodigy. Until he has truly stepped into the Eternal Realm, who would dare to claim themselves invincible? Who would dare to call themselves undefeated? No matter how strong an individual is, when faced with the terrifying Star Domains passed down through the eras and those unified powerful races, it will still be a difficult challenge…]

[Immortal Tree, oh Immortal Tree, the future all depends on the choice you make. Will you choose to lay low and bide your time, or will you rise again to compete with all the myriad races? Everything rests on what you chose, and I will gladly watch you.]

At this thought, the corners of Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s mouth lifted slightly.

“Perhaps it’s time to form a good relationship…” With these words, a vast consciousness surged toward the end of the starry sky.

…

Not long after, as Yu Zi Yu was savoring the power of Tier-6, he suddenly trembled.

*Booooooom…” With a thunderous clap, a Gargantuan Tree, carrying stars, resembling an Ox, entered Yu Zi Yu’s sight.

Its appearance was accompanied by an ancient and timeless voice, suddenly echoing in Yu Zi Yu’s mind, “Congratulations on your breakthrough…”

“Oh?” Yu Zi Yu was momentarily taken aback, a bit bewildered. [My breakthrough actually alerted this great existence.]

At this moment, as if sensing his thoughts, that ancient voice chuckled and explained himself, “If it were someone else, it wouldn’t have mattered. But as the first being of this era to truly step into Tier-6, you naturally deserve my attention… Now, you are worthy of being my equal…”

“Is that so?” Murmuring softly, Yu Zi Yu did not lose his composure. Instead, he respectfully greeted, “Greetings, Lord Heaven-Connecting…”

(Ashish: The actual term here is Hegemon Heaven-Connecting, but we will be addressing Tier-7 Transcendents as Lord throughout the translation. It also sounds better than calling them Hegemon.)

“Haha…” The Heaven-Connecting Jianmu broke into laughter. He could not help but appreciate Yu Zi Yu’s calm demeanor.

[Truly worthy of the one who refused the inheritance of Heaven-Connecting Jianmu. His poise is indeed admirable.] However, after a moment, as if recalling something, Heaven-Connecting Jianmu frankly stated, “Back then, I owed you a karmic debt. Although it has been repaid, today, I would like to form a good relationship with you. What do you think?”

“But of course…” Yu Zi Yu promptly understood Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s intentions, and he nodded in agreement.

Throughout many eras, the Heaven-Connecting Jianmu’s fate has never been good. Now, by forming a good relationship, it was also preparing for the future. Naturally, Yu Zi Yu had no reason to refuse this. After all, with a single misstep, he could become the next Heaven-Connecting Jianmu, drawing the attention of all the myriad races.

As the popular adage goes, ‘the enemy of my enemy is my friend.’
