Zi Lian’s body crazily transformed as an inexplicable power surged within him.

Visible to the naked eye, Zi Lian’s scythe-like arms were shrouded in a rich and glaring purple light, becoming even longer and sharper.

Faintly, the edges of his arms gleamed with a sharp sheen.

However, this was not the end.

*Screeeech…*  Zi Lian let out a shrill screech as his figure, using the ability—Void Jump, flashed and dodged the gargantuan monster’s attack, his body growing bit by bit.

*Crack, crack…* His exoskeleton seemed to stretch, emitting a brittle sound like bone resonance.

In just a few breaths, Zi Lian’s body had doubled in size, yet things did not end there.

The surging power stimulated Zi Lian’s body, every inch and every corner, until fully covering his body.

Suddenly, a more terrifying aura erupted from Zi Lian with a thunderous roar, impacting everything around, including the gigantic monster. It narrowed its eyes, casting a deep glance at Zi Lian, who was evolving at a speed visible to the naked eye.

Right then, a flash of vigilance flickered in the gigantic purple monster’s eyes, seemingly sensing something.

Immediately after, a sky-shaking roar, akin to a Dragon’s roar yet similar to a Serpent’s hiss, echoed from the horizon of the Void Space, accompanied by a surge of purple glow.

Soon after, a draconic head, but with a pair of snake-like eyes, appeared at the horizon.

“Don’t force your evolutions.” Yu Zi Yu’s thunderous shout rang in Zi Lian’s mind.

“Master…” After a momentary daze, Zi Lian obediently heeded Yu Zi Yu’s advice, suppressing the surging Spiritual Energy evolving his body. At the same time, his figure quickly exited the battlefield at an extremely terrifying speed, leaving a trail of afterimages.

“Master, why are you here?” With a hint of doubt in his voice, Zi Lian looked at the Purple Dragon Head rapidly approaching from the depths of the Void Space.

A Dragon but with snake eyes. It had no claws on its abdomen. This was a Flood Dragon, and not just any Flood Dragon.

“For now, it’s best not to evolve.” Yu Zi Yu cast a deep glance at Zi Lian and explained further, “Your current body is the most perfect. It’s extremely flexible and nimble. However, if you keep increasing your size to counter it, trouble truly will be awaiting for you in the future.”

Yu Zi Yu’s explanation pushed Zi Lian into contemplation.

Actually, this was the drawback of his Innate Talent—Evolution. If he forced evolution to counter strong enemies, those abilities would become his fatal weakness in certain situations.

For example, Zi Lian increasing his size to counter the gigantic purple monster would make him lose his agility, and he would become slow and clumsy; the cons outweigh the pros.

Fortunately, Zi Lian was not alone. He did not need to force himself to evolve against lone and powerful enemies, because he had Yu Zi Yu behind him.

*Roooooaar…* The Soaring Purple Flood Dragon looked up and let out a sky-piercing roar that sounded like a Dragon Roar.

At the same time, a resonant and hoarse voice echoed in Zi Lian’s mind, “I’ll restrain it, you find an opportunity, and strike a fatal blow.”

Yu Zi Yu then reminded him again, “Remember, Zi Lian, you are my shadow. All your energy should be focused on assassination, and for dealing with more powerful enemies. Don’t force yourself to evolve to deal with special enemies like this, thereby losing some abilities or physical advantages.”

Zi Lian trembled after hearing this. As if realizing something, the corner of his lips rose into a smile as he stated, “I understand, Master. I’m no longer alone…”

At the drop of these words, a terrifying shockwave erupted from Zi Lian, with his scythe-like arm extended at an alarming speed.

In just an instant, it grew to over 10 meters long, while several thin, cicada-like wings emerged from his back, buzzing rapidly.

“Second Combat Form, Offensive Form.”

Compared to Zi Lian’s regular form, his attack power had skyrocketed by at least 50%, but consequently, his defense had weakened.

This was a form evolved by Zi Lian purely for the sake of offense, abandoning defense.

The reason he dared to use this form was because he saw the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon, that was as majestic as the purple monster in size, slowly coiling around the gargantuan monster covered in bone spikes.

Suddenly, a terrifying shockwave spread from the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon, sending turbulent ripples across the Void Space.

At the same time, Zi Lian saw the spike-covered monster tightly entwined by the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon, which was gradually tightening its grip with each passing moment. Along with this, a mournful roar emanated from the purple monster.

“Master, I’m here.” A wide grin appeared on Zi Lian’s face, brimming in excitement.

How could he not be excited? This was Zi Lian’s first time fighting alongside his Master.

The next moment, with a surge of Spiritual Energy, Zi Lian transformed into a streak of purple light, swooshing towards the distant battlefield.

…

Meanwhile, Yu Zi Yu was not simply controlling the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon to fight the purple monster.

Admittedly, the purple monster was extremely terrifying, its strength was still within the confines of Tier-4. If Yu Zi Yu was willing to unleash his true power, he could have killed the purple monster in an instant.

Except, like a Giant Snake, Yu Zi Yu continued to shrink the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon entwined around the gargantuan monster.

This was a terrifying power that could crush small planets. It was also the Soaring Purple Flood Dragon’s most fearsome killing technique.

Even so, Yu Zi Yu still had the leisure to examine the gargantuan monster entwined by his root.

Focusing his gaze, a purple screen of light manifested before Yu Zi Yu’s eyes.
