Meanwhile, deep within Misty Mountains…

Heavy dark clouds stretched for kilometers, as if they might collapse the entire world beneath them.

Beneath the stretching sea of clouds, atop a peak stood Giant Lightning Bear, raising its huge claw.

Countless lightning bolts, resembling silver serpents, continuously slithered within the layers of clouds.

Suddenly…

“Lightning Sword!” A thunderous roar, like a clap of thunder, reverberated through the sky.

Immediately after, much to the shock of numerous Mutant Beasts, sky-shaking rumbles, like the world Earth splitting apart, erupted as the lightning bolts streaking within the clouds finally exploded.

Then, with another deafening rumble, thousands upon thousands of silver serpents transformed into a sharp sword that suddenly cut through the sky and charged towards a figure on the ground.

The flash from the arc descended from the clouds and reached the horizon, illuminating the dark sky in an instant, also revealing a Steel Behemoth that appeared to be in fear.

“I-I surrender…” Looking up at the sword of lightning that seemed to be about to engulf him, even the Giant Steel Rhino of the Steel World felt an inexplicable terror, let alone the other Mutant Beasts.

The power of lightning was overwhelming. Even more terrifying was the towering figure standing on the peak, surrounded by silver lightning, resembling a God of Lightning.

This was a terrifying existence from the depths of Misty Mountains —Giant Lightning Bear. So fearsome, that just a casual strike from him was beyond what a Tier-3 could resist.

Meanwhile, it seemed that the surrender of the Giant Steel Rhino was heard. The lightning descending from the sky suddenly changed direction.

*Boooooooom…* With a thunderous roar, the Earth shook violently, before a terrifying shockwave of wave and pressure spread into the surroundings, spreading over an area of tens of thousands of kilometers, bending countless ancient trees.

*Gulp…* The Giant Steel Rhino’s throat moved up and down, staring in horror at the massive crater that had suddenly appeared nearby. The crater was about 100 meters wide, and so deep that it was difficult to see it bottom, even with its sharp sight.

All he could see was an area of scorched blackness, with faint flickers of arcs of electricity flickered at the bottom of the pit.

“This lightning truly is like a sword piercing into the Earth…” In a lowered voice, a Human, who had managed to enter the top 108, suddenly remarked, casting a wary glance at the lightning-enshrouded figure on the peak.

He was Long Shao of Shanghai, one of the most famous prodigies among Humans, and one of the top ten rising stars of China. He was also the only one to have defected from China, joining the Misty Mountain to compete for the Elemental Fruit.

Even so, he had no regret, because this was not only the final task assigned by his Family but also his chance to witness the real strongest of the world.

He had not seen many Natural Disaster-Class Transcendents, but even just these Tier-3s were enough to make him look up in awe. In fact, given his strength, he could confidently call himself the top three Tier-3 Humans in present day China. Yet, here, he was placed at the bottom of the top 108, only at the 89th place.

This itself spoke volumes on just how terrifying Misty Mountains truly was.

By all means, it was no exaggeration. Afterall, every Tier-3 Transcendent participating here was a prospective Natural Disaster.

Forget Tier-4, even in Tier-3, the gap was so vast. China, or rather the entire Human Race, truly faced an enormous challenge in catching up to this ‘terrifying force.’

Among the top fifty, only a few had just recently entered Misty Mountains to compete for the Elemental Fruits. The rest were all terrifying entities from deep within the Misty Mountains.

Among the top ten, only the Transcendent from the Titan Clan had managed to enter and was currently ranked eighth.

*Haaaaaa…* Long Shao could not help but heave a long, deep sigh, unable to see any glimmer of hope.

“For 100 years, no, at least 1,000 years, the Myriad Races of Earth will be forced to bow to Misty Mountains.” With his keen judgment, Long Shao Master made this assessment.

Though unwilling to accept it, it was a fact.

Of course, he himself was quite noteworthy as well, for he was now a member of the outer forces of Misty Mountains, and one of the few Humans who had managed to enter the inner region of Misty Mountains, standing in the midst of these terrifying beings.

…

The core members of Misty Mountains, such as Nine Tails and Bull Demon, observed a light screen not far from them, praising in a calm and unperturbed voice, “This Human is quite impressive.”

The light screens displayed various contestants and their matchups.

With the final 108 contestants determined, the Martial Arts Tournament had reached its final climax.

Now, the 108 contestants would fight 1v1 battles and their rankings would be determined on the basis of the points earned from these battles.

The top ten would consist of Transcendents who manage to achieve ten consecutive victories.

Of course, it was undeniable that there were arrangements made by Nine Tails and others to prevent the strong participants from meeting each other too soon.

“That’s Long Shao, the scion of a Top Family of China, the Long Family. According to the rumors, he has awakened the Dragon Bloodline. Although Human, he’s essentially a top-tier Mutant Beast in Human guise, with a formidable Physique and astonishing Elemental control.”

Listening to Bull Demon’s investigation, Nine Tails’ lips curled into a smile as she suddenly asked, “Are you sure he has awakened his Dragon Bloodline?”

Asking this, Nine Tails’ gaze shifted towards the depths of the Misty Mountains, where a cold and aloof figure emerged, accompanied by heavy footsteps.

The slender figure, cloaked in a black robe, had long silver hair that danced in the wind. A moon-shaped mark was visible on his forehead. He was closely followed by a massive Silver Wolf, which affectionately trailed behind him.

Silver Moon—Zang Feng, one of Empress He Ling Er’s trusted subordinates and also one of the Seven Kings within the Dark Council.

Now, having reached Tier-4, his strength even caused Nine Tails and other Mutant Beasts to take notice.

“Greetings, everyone.” Bowing slowly, Zang Feng greeted with a touch of respect.

As Ling Er’s trusted aide, he was well aware of the relationship between the Dark Council and Misty Mountains, so proper respect was essential.

Hierarchy was an ironclad rule, and no one was allowed to violate. If someone did, the Divine Tree would not need to act, Ling Er herself would strike first to eliminate such defiance. After all, any discontent within the subordinate forces was the greatest provocation to Misty Mountains.

At this moment, as if sensing Nine Tails’ gaze, Zang Feng glanced at the light screen showing Long Shao with Dragon Scales appearing on his skin and explained in a low voice, “A few years ago, the Human Race gathered on the Australian Continent to attack the Dark Wyvern. At that time, the Human Race found four Dragon Eggs, which were divided between China, America, Japan, and Britain. But, the Dragon Eggs in the hands of China and Japan ultimately fell into the hands of Misty Mountains, while America’s Dragon Egg was devoured by their Guardian Beast—Monster Zero. As for the last one…”

Eyes narrowing, Zang Feng gazed deeply at the Human figure on the light screen—Long Shao—and continued, “The last Dragon Egg, belonging to Britain, was intercepted by a mysterious force on its way back and has been missing ever since. This remains one of Britain’s greatest scandals, still unspoken of today. From the looks of it, this mysterious force was likely to be sent from China…”
