The towering firestorm continued to swell, accompanied by increasingly intensifying Dragon Roars.

The sea of flames consumed everything in their path, incinerating even the very Earth.

This was no ordinary fire but Dragon Flames, a type of flame only a Dragon could control.

Compared to regular fire, Dragon Flames were more domineering and terrifying. As a matter of fact, among the myriad of flames, Dragon Flame ranked as one of the highest levels of fire.

The roaring flames turned into a storm, scorching everything in its path.

Fortunately, the Human host of the Inferno Dragon — Haposs was not too strong. Otherwise, even this awakening alone could have caused significant harm to many nearby.

“Haaa… This Human is really fortunate to have gained the favor of the Tenth Great Beast.”

“It is said that the Tenth Great Beast is the most arrogant, and to receive his favor, one must have accumulated immense fortune over several lifetimes.”

“There’s nothing to be done, after all, this guy has Dragon Blood in him…”

Countless Mutant Beasts looked at the Human figure enveloped in the firestorm with a hint of envy and jealousy in their eyes.

To receive the favor of a Natural Disaster-Class entity, and that too from one of the most mysterious entities of Misty Mountains, the Little Tenth, such luck was truly beyond words.

Besides, just from the current aura emanating from the Human was enough to catch a glimpse of his extraordinary fortune.

Just a few drops of Dragon Blood had brought a huge transformation in him, increasing his aura to the level of a first-class Tier-3 Transcendent.

Even if he could not be compared to the likes of Queen Thorns or Storm King, he would still be able to contend with them for some time.

Just moments ago, he could have been slapped to death by a Transcendent half a step into Tier-4, very easily.

“This guy is quite lucky,” in a slightly bitter tone, even another Human could not help but express his envy and frustration.

…

At this moment, in the depths of the Void Space, seemingly sensing something, a surprised cry of exclamation suddenly rang out, “Uh…”

The source of this exclamation was a Towering Tree. From the Tree’s crown, a Dragon Head emerged and gazed sharply in a direction.

The next moment, traversing space, Yu Zi Yu saw a Human figure standing amidst swirling deep red firestorm. His Bloodline seemed to be burning, as blood kept oozing out of the gaps in between his scales. Yet, even before a drop of blood could be spilled, the searing flames burned it away, leaving a wisp of blue smoke slowly rising into the air.

Even from afar, Yu Zi Yu found his aura similar to Little Tenth.

“How interesting,” Yu Zi Yu praised with a hint of delight, having sensed the extraordinary nature of this Human.

No, rather than calling him a Human, he seemed more like a Dragon in Human skin.

His body was continuously transforming, becoming more like a Dragon’s. Except, it differed in shape compared to a true Dragon.

The Human Blood flowing through him was now burning away, replaced by brilliant golden blood—Dragon Blood.

Even the so-called Soul…

“Hmmm…” In a tone full of amusement, Yu Zi Yu opened his blood-red Heavenly Eye and saw a giant illusory Dragon with flames burning all over it, quietly overlooking the illusory Human Soul in a grayish misty space.

“Human, make a contract with me. In the name of the Inferno Dragon—Haposs, I make a contract with you. From now on, I shall reside within your body…And you shall possess my true power. Combining our powers, we’ll surpass everything and will witness the true forbiddens in this world…”

Haposs declared in a majestic and solemn voice, retaining the pride of the Dragon Race. It was accompanied by a blood-red pentagram that appeared beneath their feet.

“Is this really possible?” The young Human questioned with a hint of confusion.

Actually, he had always been aware of the existence of Haposs. However, Haposs had never paid him any attention. In fact, there was a time when Haposs had even considered devouring him.

However, having just been born, although Haposs’ Soul was not weak, he was not strong enough to devour him. More importantly, as the Master of this body, Long Shao had the capability to destroy everything, including himself. Thus, this Dragon and Human had maintained a delicate balance.

But now…

“We have no choice…” Sighing, Haposs, burning with an eternal flame, stated frankly, “We’re already targeted by another of my kind. If we don’t grow stronger soon, we’ll be doomed.”

“Then why not devour me now? Can’t you do it now?” Hesitant, Long Shao looked at the imposing and fearsome Red Dragon with complexity.

“…I cannot.” After a long hesitation, Haposs finally responded.

Then, with a sigh and seeing Long Shao’s skepticism, he explained, “The Soul is the most mysterious thing. If I devour you, my Dragon Soul will become impure. Not only would it take thousands of years to cleanse the impurities, even reaching Tier-5 would be extremely difficult. And now, we have no time… He won’t give us time to grow. Moreover, this great era does not allow us to waste any more time. Rather than struggling to devour you, it is better for us to combine our powers, break open the door to taboo, and reach the true pinnacle together…” As he spoke, Haposs’ voice grew softer.

Meanwhile, the pentagram beneath them became even more brilliant.

After a moment, with a tremendous ‘boom,’ a towering blood-red pillar of light enveloped them both.

…

Meanwhile, high up in the depths of the storm clouds in the distance, a cold snort echoed.

Even Little Tenth did not expect Inferno Dragon Haposs to be so decisive.

However, on second thought, it was not surprising either; he had not left Haposs any choice.

However, Haposs was indeed proud. Rather than bowing to the Human, Haposs preferred to sign an equal contract with him.

It should be said that it was the tradition of the Dragons. In the previous era, the reputation of Dragon Knights was not weak either!

“However, even so, you cannot surpass me…” Amidst a calm and indifferent voice, countless silver-like lightning arcs spread across the depths of the sky.
