Yu Zi Yu’s sudden raise of hand immediately brought a rare look of confusion on Golden Monkey’s face.

“Master, what’s this?”

“Take it out…” Yu Zi Yu demanded in response, but seeing the still puzzled Golden Monkey, he added, “Didn’t you mention the Stellar Formation? Quickly bring out what you’ve mentioned so I can understand it better…”

“Uh…” Looking bewildered, Golden Monkey shook his head helplessly. [Master is becoming more and more demanding.]

However, after a second thought, he could not help but smile wryly. [This just means that Master trusts me even more. But Formations, even a Spirit-Gathering Formation like the Stellar Formation, are quite complex.]

With this thought, Golden Monkey shrugged and complained, “Master, do you think Formations are as simple as a Divine Ability and can be written on a piece of parchment?”

“Isn’t that so?” With some suspicion, Yu Zi Yu showed a hint of bewilderment on his face.

Just now, he had indeed thought of Formations as something like Divine Abilities, that could be recorded on a piece of parchment and then comprehended.

*Haaaaa…* With a sigh, Golden Monkey felt it was necessary to give Yu Zi Yu a brief education on Formations. “Master, Formations are quite intricate. Take the Great Constellation Formation as an example. People generally know that it combines the power of 365 Stars, with the Sun and Moon as the central Stars. It is immensely profound and filled with killing intent.

However, what’s more important is that to set up this Formation, one needs to forge 365 Great Constellation Banners corresponding to the 365 primary stars, and 14,800 Minor Constellation Banners corresponding to the 14,800 auxiliary stars. And then, supported by the power of thousands of Demon Beasts, each representing a star, the formidable Great Constellation Formation is laid out.”

At this point, Golden Monkey was filled with emotions and added, “With 365 Great Constellation Banners as the foundation and 14,800 Small Constellation Banners as the framework, supported by countless Demons, the Formation connects the power of the stars to create an Ancient Forbidden Offensive Formation. This shows how terrifying this Formation is.”

Hearing all this, an increasingly strange expression appeared on Yu Zi Yu’s face.

After a moment, as if noticing Yu Zi Yu’s expression, Golden Monkey asked in surprise, “Master, what’s wrong?”

“Didn’t you say you didn’t know how to set up the Great Constellation Formation?”

Yu Zi Yu’s calm and sombre voice echoed in the air, making even Golden Monkey’s heart tighten.

However, hearing Yu Zi Yu’s statement, he couldn’t help but smile wryly.

[I guess, Master really doesn’t know anything about Formations.]

Shaking his head helplessly, Golden Monkey explained in a straightforward manner, “Master, I really don’t know. What I just mentioned was common knowledge about the Great Constellation Formation. It’s like nuclear weapons on Earth—everyone knows it involves nuclear fusion and fission… but can Master create it from scratch using the few raw materials?”

“Yes.” In response, Yu Zi Yu, who had occasionally studied this, answered affirmatively.

As a peak weapon of the Human Race, Yu Zi Yu had naturally paid attention to it. He had even made Ling Er investigate the research of nuclear weapons and even made a few.

Unfortunately, current nuclear weapons no longer had the deterrent power of the past, so Yu Zi Yu had no need to flaunt them.

At this moment, hearing Yu Zi Yu’s affirmative response and seeing his genuine expression, Golden Monkey’s face stiffened.

After all, he was just giving an example.

Not knowing whether to laugh or cry, Golden Monkey, after a brief silence, stated truthfully, “Master, not to mention the Formation Disk of the Great Constellation Formation, I don’t know how to forge the Great and Minor Constellation Banners, let alone how the countless Demons control the banners…”

*Hee Hee Hee…* Yu Zi Yu chuckled, and no longer pressed Golden Monkey.

Given his understanding of Golden Monkey, he knew that Golden Monkey could not possibly know about such a forbidden Formation.

He was just making a small joke.

However, this also deepened Yu Zi Yu’s understanding of Formations.

“Primary and Auxiliary Formation Bases, Formation Disk… and not to mention other aspects. No wonder Golden Monkey emphasized that Formations are so intricate. Now, my Dao-Protecting Artifact, the Radiant Galaxy, can only be considered as the most basic Formation Base, and not even the primary one.”

Reflecting on this, Yu Zi Yu understood more clearly. He realized that he still had much to learn about the Dao of Formations.

And in reality, it was indeed the case.

…

Time slowly passed, and in the blink of an eye, half a month had gone by.

At this moment, in a corner of the Monkey Clan in Misty Mountains, deep within a bamboo grove beneath a waterfall, Yu Zi Yu’s slender figure, woven from countless Roots, sat facing Golden Monkey at a stone table.

At the stone table, one would see a complex and mysterious circular pattern engraved.

“The Stellar Formation, although a Spirit-Gathering Formation, still requires a Formation Disk. With the Formation Disk, you can circulate the Spiritual Energy following the flow chart and set up the Formation in an instant. Moreover, the better the material of the Formation Disk, the more Spiritual Energy it can withstand… So, Master, I’ve already drawn the Formation Disk for the Stellar Formation and explained the flow of Spiritual Energy. However, what materials you use to create it is up to you.

While the Stellar Formation is a replica of the Great Constellation Formation, and it doesn’t replicate its full power, it can simulate about one ten-thousandth of its grandeur. Therefore, the foundation it requires is quite similar to that of the Great Constellation Formation, though it’s simpler by a thousand times.

Currently, the most crucial part of its foundation is the Star Cores and the power of the stars. I’ve mentioned this to you before. So, Master, it would be best if you could incorporate one of your five Flying Willow Leaf Blades into a Star Core and gather the power of the stars to refine it into a Stellar Flying Blade.

Then, with the Stellar Flying Blade, you can split it into thousands of Stellar Flying Blades to serve as the Auxiliary Formation Base, harnessing the starlight. As for the Primary Formation Base, the Stellar Formation doesn’t seem to require it, which simplifies the process.”

As Golden Monkey provided instructions one after another, a rare seriousness appeared on his face. As a teacher, he dreaded misleading his students, especially when this ‘student’ was his Master.

Thus, Golden Monkey had to be as detailed as possible in his instructions.

Despite this, Yu Zi Yu still spent half a month to grasp the Stellar Formation.

This was partly due to Yu Zi Yu starting from zero in the Dao of Formations, but mainly because the Dao of Formations was too profound and intricate, making it difficult for ordinary people to grasp.

Only because Yu Zi Yu was a Tier-5 Transcendent, whose Soul had undergone a qualitative metamorphosis, making his calculation speed of brain and memory hundreds or maybe thousands of times superior to ordinary people, could he make progress. Otherwise, without a year or two, or even 3-5 years, he might not even be able to reach the threshold.
