Dragon Monarch System

.

“So, I will just need to stop this monster before it crosses the portal and comes here. That is going to take care of all the problems.”

“Yeah…..!! Because once this 9-headed Hydra crosses the portal and comes here. It’s over. At that time, even you won’t be able to prevent the death of millions of citizens.” Amelia said in a serious tone. “Alright. I will try to do that. Please retreat back.” Aditya began charging towards the 9-headed Hydra. However, midway, he suddenly saw the 9-headed Hydra attacking Amelia with one of its heads. The head of the Hydra shot towards Amelia at lightning speed. Seeing this Aditya widened his eyes. Aditya knew that Amelia wasn’t fast enough to dodge this attack. If this attack were to hit her, then she would most likely be seriously injured, or worse, she might even die. She was most likely going to die from that powerful attack. ‘Shit…!!!’ ‘I can’t let that happen…..!!’

Meanwhile, Amelia could widen her eyes and watch as the attack approached her. At that moment, although she was able to see the attack heading in her direction, but her body wasn’t fast enough to move in time and dodge the attack. ‘Am I going to die…?’ In that nanosecond, Amelia thought about a countless number of things. ‘If I die, then I won’t need to worry about Riya since Aditya is there. I am sure he will take care of my daughter.’ Even in death, Amelia was more worried about her daughter than herself. ‘There won’t be any threat to the rule of the Celestial Terrain with the presence of the Dragon Monarch.’ The second thing that she was worried about was her Empire. ‘It’s a shame that I would need to die so early.’

‘Only if I have lived long enough to see how things would unfold.’

‘Only if I had lived long enough to see my daughter getting married to Aditya.’

‘Only if I had seen my grandchildren. Then I could have died without any regret.’ ‘But it’s too late for that now…..!!!’ Accepting her death, Amelia was about to close her eyes as the attack was just 10 to 15 inches away from her. “Amelia…!!!” However, at that moment, Aditya mysteriously teleported in front of her. ‘Aditya…why….?’

‘There isn’t enough time for me to teleport both of us away from this attack…!!!’ Aditya could only grit his teeth while pushing Amelia away with the little bit of time that he had left. If it was Aditya alone, then he could have teleported away however teleporting with Amelia in such a short period of time was just impossible. At least, at his current level it was a completely impossible thing to accomplish. Amelia watched in shock as Aditya pushed her body with his right hand while taking the attack that was meant to end her life. Bang…..!!!!

The force of the attack sent Aditya flying back at an incredible speed, like a cannonball launched into the air. His body moved so swiftly that even to other Peak 5th-order cultivators, who are known for their extraordinary strength, and speed—being 120 times stronger and faster than an average person—he appeared as nothing more than a blur. To the average person, it was as if Aditya had vanished into thin air which was a testament to the immense power behind the attack.

Bang…!!!

As Aditya hurtled backward, his path was marked by destruction. He crashed through numerous trees, shattering them into splinters. Rocks and other obstacles in his way were no match for the force at which he traveled; they were either crushed or flung aside like toys. His uncontrolled flight didn’t stop until after he had traveled more than 10 kilometers, finally coming to a halt when his back slammed into the wall of Azure City.

The impact of his body against the city wall produced a thunderous noise that echoed throughout the city. Guards stationed on the walls felt the ground beneath them tremble as if the earth itself was shaking. The city’s protective dome which was a magical barrier that enveloped the city like a protective bubble, also vibrated visibly for a few seconds, showing the sheer force of Aditya’s unintended collision.

Upon the impact, the wall where Aditya crashed wasn’t spared. Both small and large cracks webbed across its surface. These cracks spread out like veins on the wall’s facade. ‘It’s too strong. Maybe even stronger than Harrison….!!!’ Aditya thought in his mind. Every inch of his body was full of pain. If it had been an average person instead of Aditya caught in that powerful attack, the outcome would have been much different—and far more disastrous. If an ordinary person was hit by such a force. Instead of soaring through the air like a cannonball, they wouldn’t have been able to withstand the power of the initial impact. The force that sent Aditya flying would have been too much for a regular human to survive, let alone move at such a high speed.

Where Aditya crashed through trees and stones, turning them into obstacles in his unintended flight path, an average human would not have made it that far. The very first tree or large stone in their path would have stopped them abruptly, resulting in instant painful death. The idea of flying over 10 kilometers and crashing into a city wall would be beyond imagination for someone with normal human durability.

An average person never would have even made it to the walls of the Azure city, much less crash on it like Aditya. Ignoring the blood that was rolling down his cheeks, Aditya raised his head and glanced up. Aditya helplessly watched as the Hydra slowly came out of the portal. ‘So I have failed…..!!!’ Aditya thought in his mind. He did not blame Amelia for this. In fact, after tasting the power behind the Hydra’s attack, he was no even more sure that he would have failed to prevent this behemoth from crossing the portal. Also if Aditya had stepped in, this attack would have killed Amelia. So he did not feel regret over what he did. “I should stop holding back…..!!!” Aditya came out of the crack in which his body was stuck into.

As his foot touched the ground, he felt something on his face. “Why do I suddenly feel something strange on my face? It’s like my face is burning…..!!!” Aditya touched his left cheek. He instantly got his answer. The left side of his face was disfigured. His left cheek’s flesh was torn revealing the bones beneath.

“Ha…..!!” Aditya weakly laughed at himself and then said. “I can’t imagine how ugly I look right now.”

Being within the 25km range of the Dragon Palace, Aditya received many boosts from the Dragon Palace. 『Function 2 – If the host is within a 25 km range of the Dragon Palace, then the host’s stats would be increased by 25%. At the same time, the host’s mana recovery speed, healing speed, and cultivation speed will be increased by 60%. If any of the Dragonians or the Dragon Warriors are within a 25 km range of the Dragon Palace then the stats of the Dragonians or the Dragon Warriors would be increased by 8%. While the dragonians or the Dragon Warrior’s mana recovery speed, healing speed, and cultivation speed will be increased by 20%.』

『Function 3 – As the Dragon Palace has been built, the host now has gained the power to teleport back to the Dragon Palace from any location on this planet. The host will also be able to teleport anywhere within a 25 km range of the Dragon Palace.』

Because of the 3rd function, Aditya was able to teleport faster than he normally could to save Amelia from that attack. “It has been a while since I wore it.” Aditya took out the Crown of Seven Sea and wore it. The crown was stained in his blood as he wore it. But this wasn’t the time to care about such small details. Since reaching beginner 4th-order, Aditya has never needed to use this treasure. But now it seems, it was time to use this treasure. As soon as he wore the Crown of Seven Sea, Aditya instantly felt his fighting power was increasing. 『Function 3]: – When the King wears this crown, the fighting power of that King will be increased by [20%]. The cultivation of the owner must be below 5th order otherwise this function won’t work.』

Even 20% can be a lot. In a life-and-death battle, even 20% can make a huge difference. Now Aditya’s attacks were 20% stronger compared to before. “Now only one last thing is left…….!!” Aditya started flying towards the Hydra. At the same time, his whole body was covered in a bright Crimson light. Everyone including the Hydra saw as Aditya slowly transformed into a Dragon. —————-
