Dragon Monarch System

Chapter 626 Chapter 626:- Massive 5000 meters Portal

“Do you think that I am going to let you continue?” He drove his dagger aiming directly towards her heart.

Seeing this Riya widened her eyes.

‘Not good…..!!! I won’t be able to avoid this attack in time…..!!!’ She won’t have enough time to conjure a strong Mana shield that is capable of protecting her from this sneak attack. Clearly, the speed of this cultivator is faster than her.

Just as the dagger tip was only one inch away from Riya’s chest, the dagger suddenly stopped. Riya saw that a fair and beautiful hand had grabbed the attacker’s hand at the very last second.

It was Sasha who saved Riya.

Carter widened his eyes seeing that his attack was stopped. He did not expect that his assassination attempt would fail.

‘What!!! How is she faster than me?’ Carter could not understand.

Carter considered himself to be one of the best Assassins in the whole world. He might not be as lethal or quick as the Goddess of Lust who is also the strongest Assassin in the whole world but he wasn’t a rookie assassin either. For over a century, he held the title of being the top 5 strongest Assassin in the whole world.

What made Carter stronger than others is the fact that he sacrificed his other stats (strength and Mana) in exchange for increasing his agility. The people that could match him in agility are less than 5.

Before Carter could react, he suddenly found his right arm severed. His severed arm which was still holding the curved dagger was flying in the air along with drops of blood.

Carter did not scream. He endured the pain. He look of fear flashed in his eyes as he looked at Sasha.

‘This woman is stronger than me. She did not react till the last second. And when she moved her body, I was unable to see it.’ Sasha was simply faster than him.

“Trying to assassinate in front of the greatest Assassin in the history….!!! How stupid….!!!” Lilith mocked Carter.

Lilith wasn’t worried at all. This entire time she was completely relaxed. Because she knew that her daughter was going to stop the attack in time. When it came to agility, Sasha was even faster than Lilith.

“Greatest Assassin in the history….!!! Could it be….!!” It was only then that Carter realized his mistake.

‘Now it all makes sense…!!!’ Carter thought in his mind.

‘Before I had some doubts in my mind about the identity of this elf but now I am 100% sure that this woman is the Goddess of Nature.’ Seeing how proficient this elf was at controlling those grey roots, Carter had doubts in his mind about the identity of this woman.

Not to mention, he had doubts about the identity of the young man that brought them here before teleporting away. ‘Hahaha…..!!! Now it all makes sense….!!’ Carter laughed at himself.

‘How did I became so blind and did not realize the truth from the beginning?’ The only thing now Carter felt in his heart was regret.

“My lady, please accept my apology. I was blind and I did not knew your identities.” If he had known who was his opponent then he never would have tried to assassinate the Goddess of nature.

‘Trying to end Assassinate the Goddess of nature’s life in front presence of the Goddess of Lust….what a joke….!!!’

Under everyone’s eyes, Carter took out another dagger from his storage ring. He bit the handle of the dagger and then under everyone’ shocked gazes, he severed his other arm as well. Now both of his arms were completely severed.

Carter wanted to scream from pain. His carrier as an Assassin was basically over now that he had lost both of his hands. But in his mind, this was at least better than losing his own life. As long as he had his severed hands, and as long as he spend all of his fortune, he could at least reattach his severed arms but if he died, then it was over for him.

“I hope Lady Riya would accept my compensation.” Carter lowered his head and said in a fearful tone.

Riya was stunned seeing this. She could feel that this man was being really sincere.

“You’re forgiven.” Saying that she waved her hand. Suddenly one of his severed arms that was lying on the ground rose in the air and reattached itself with Carter’s arm. Seeing this Carter was shocked.

‘So this is the power and mercy of the Goddess of Nature…!!!’ Carter knew that Riya had merely given him another chance to live today. Otherwise, by now his corpse would have been lying on the ground.

“Thank you my lady…..!!!” Carter once again bowed his head before he picked up his other severed arm and disappeared from their view forever.

Meanwhile, the commander from the Lion-kin whose name was Hayes was left stunned seeing everything that happened just now.

His mind was filled with questions and doubts. His whole body was covered in a layer of sweat. ‘What did I just hear right now…..? Carter clearly called that elf Lady Riya. And the other woman’s words…!!!’

Gulp….!!!

Hayes gulped in fear. ‘Have I unintentionally provoked the Goddess of Nature and the Istarin Emperor.’

It was well known that that whose who provoke the Istarin Emperor do not live long.

It wasn’t just Hayes who had a panicked look. But other 5th-order cultivators had the same fearful looks on their faces as they.

They all understood the identities of these people.

By now the troops behind Hayes had already died. Life forces from their bodies already had been sucked completely dry. Their bodies had withered. Except for their bones under their shriveled skins, nothing else as left.

“My lady, please forgive us…!!! We were blind and we did not realize who we were messing with…..!!”

Suddenly Hayes along with other 5th-order cultivators kneeled to the ground and started begging for Mercy. They were afraid.

They were afraid that even if they all died here, the Dragon Monarch wouldn’t let go of this grudge. Once all of this was over, they were afraid that the Dragon Monarch would destroy their Empire to get revenge.

Before sending them here, their Emperor had clearly warned them to not mess with the Istarin Empire otherwise the consequences was something that their Empire wouldn’t be able to bear. Messing with the Dragon Monarch meant digging their own graveyards.

“Then leave and never show your faces here…..!!!” Riya said in a cold tone. She also felt that she had killed enough. After all killing half million troops is definitely not a small number.

With the loss of such a large number of troops, from whatever Empire in the Beast Continent Hayes and the remaining survivors belong to, the Empire won’t be able to recover its military power in a long time. And if the Empire still had grudges for losing their 500,000 troops, then they could come to the Istarin Empire and demand an explanation from Aditya.

At least this is what Riya thought in her mind.

But Hayes and the Emperor had no wish to demand any explanation from anyone. Demanding for an explanation would give them the ticket to their graveyards. They would just forget this matter like it was a bad nightmare.

“Let’s retreat.” Seeing Hayes and his remaining men retreating Sasha, Lilith, and Riya sighed. They can finally retreat to the Lionrock City.

The trio continued moving forward. Just after moving 4 km forward, they were stopped by another large army. This time, the army was even larger than the previous one.

Scene change____

The whole Graveyard of Sand Dunes Desert was in chaos. As the Dragon Grass had disappeared, all the Magic animals that had come here solely for the Dragon Grass were really angry. All the Magic Animals seem to have become mindless monsters.

The Magic Animals started attacking anyone that they saw in front of them.

“Retreat, we cannot fight this many Magic animals.”

“Troops of the Sartan Empire return to the Desert ships immediately. We are retreating.”

“Let’s return….!! It’s useless to stay here…..!!!”

“Yeah….!!! By staying here, we would only get dragged into fighting millions of wild and mindless magic animals. Even if we managed to defeat them, the casualties would be too much.”

“If we had gotten the Dragon Grass then it would have been one thing but without the Dragon Grass, the Solarix Empire has no reason to stay in this desert and fight millions of berserk Magic Animals. We are leaving…..!!!”

“The Terranix Empire is also going to leave. Let’s retreat…..!!”

“Our Lunara Province is definitely staying here any longer. If we continue to stay here, then the 9 headed Hydra is going to end us all.”

Although many of their experts tried to stop Aditya from leaving with the Dragon Grass they failed to stop him. With his mysterious spatial skill, stopping him was impossible. Not even the 9 headed Hydra was able to stop the young man from leaving with the Dragon Grass.

Not to mention the entire Desert now had fallen into Chaos. There were the mindless magic animals that were attacking anyone that they saw in their sights.

And there was the even bigger threat which was the 9 headed Hydra. After seeing how the 9 headed Hydra killed so many Peak 5th-order cultivators within two seconds, no one was willing to stay in this desert and fight this behemoth.

Aside from the fact that no Empire’s military had the power to defeat the 9-headed Hydra, even if they joined forces with other Empires, the casualties would be just too much for their Empires. Besides, even if they defeated a 9-headed Hydra, there was no reward or any kind of benefit in this.

So retreating while the Hydra targeted others was the best course of action right now.

Today over 300 million cultivators have gathered in The Graveyard of Sand Dunes desert. Now that Dragon Grass had disappeared, almost all of the Empires began to retreat. There was simply no benefit for their Empire to stay in this chaotic desert and continue to fight.

While Aditya had disappeared along with his women, the 9-

headed Hydra seems to have gone berserk as the Dragon Grass was taken by someone and the worse thing was, that person had already gone out of its reach. Even with its powerful senses that almost spread all over the entire desert, it cannot detect where that person had gone.

This had left the 9 headed Hydra very angry.

Suddenly the 9-headed Hydra opened all of his 9 heads. Everyone on the ground panicked seeing this.

Boooom…..!!!!

From its 9 mouths, the Hydra fired 9 powerful dark purple energy beams in 9 directions.

Ah…..!!!

Booooom…!!!

The attack instantly killed more than one hundred thousand people within mere seconds and the number was continuously increasing.

The 9-headed Hydra did not stop there and continued to attack anyone that was around it. It even attacked Magic Animals.

Within just a few minutes, the number of lives that this Hydra had taken exceeded 2 million. A big part of the desert was completely destroyed because of it.

This slaughter continued for the next 5 to 10 minutes before the Hydra. The Hydra felt a little calm now.

There were countless corpses lying in the desert.

A big part of the desert was destroyed.

Sands were covered in blood.

The Hydra finally felt that it had enough.

Far away from where the Hydra was, a man wearing a black hood and a black cloak was standing in the air and was silently watching the actions of the Hydra. The man did not interrupt the Hydra and let it kill to its heart’s content.

“I was I would need to end its life…!! Otherwise, this giant is going to get in my way….!!!” The next second, the man noticed a giant portal opening behind the Hydra. The portal was easily 5000 meters big.

It was so big that it felt as if the whole world was getting sucked into the portal.

“Ohh…!!! Interesting…!!!”

“To think this Hydra is strong enough to even break my restriction and open a portal…!!! Impressive…..!!!” The man smiled as he watched the Hydra slowly disappear from the desert. Once the Hydra disappeared the portal was closed.

No one knows where the Hydra went.

“He should be coming in this way….!!!”
