Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2436 Encounter

*Whoosh!~*

Davis instantly appeared before a white-robed woman hiding amidst the starʼs rays. She looked pure as a fairy, and her black hair flailed in the wind, creating perfect scenery. When his fist near her pretty veiled face, it suddenly stopped, all the force within it evaporating into nothing as he abruptly held back with all his strength.

His expression had frozen. There was some backlash, but it didnʼt amount to much other than his energy clogging. He hadnʼt gone all out in the beginning as he didnʼt feel the need to fully exercise his power to defeat a mere heavenly genius. However, that wasnʼt his concern at the moment as his dilated pupils kept twitching at the white-robed woman as though he was charmed beyond repair.

Meanwhile, the woman appeared to be completely at ease. But even that wasnʼt for long as her countenance churned with some emotion. She dropped her elegant pose and hovered towards him in the air.

Appearing in front of him without only a few inches of space, she raised both her hands and wrapped them around his neck, pressing her explosive assets towards his chest as she held him tight. It was as though she never wanted to let him go, her lips moving towards his ear.

”I missed you, Prince Davis~”

Her whisper was like honeyed words in Davisʼs ears, causing him to tremble heavily before his lips parted with emotion.

”Ellia…”

Ellia was like a cat at that moment, snuggling more into his space as she tightened his grip. It was like she was badly making up for the time she missed, her eyes almost tearing up.

Davis also felt some deep emotion swelling within him, his hand that had been stretched out moving to embrace Ellia. Never had he imagined that he would encounter her here, much less that she would prank him by slightly modifying her aura and having immortalized it.

Even he almost missed her familiar aura if he hadnʼt locked onto her.

However, he shuddered before retreating at his top speed as he gained a few meters of space.

”What are you doing? Myria would turn angry and will rampage throughout heaven and earth for this grievance. Are you trying to get me killed?”

”Ahahaha~”

Elliaʼs cheerful laughter resounded like a musical, bringing vibrancy and peace to Davisʼs grievous expression.

”Canʼt you see, Prince Davis? Iʼm Ellia...” She brightly smiled behind her veil and flicked her black hair with the utmost style, ”… and Ellia alone.”

Davis blinked at her sassy pose. It didnʼt register for a moment for him before his lips parted wide, ”You two managed to separate?”

Having said that, Ellia instantly smirked in response, ”Yes~”

”…”

Davis couldnʼt respond. Hasnʼt this problem haunted Myria for an eternity? She was able to separate just like that upon entering the Immortal Stage? He felt that shouldnʼt be the case.

”How?”

Hearing his question, Elliaʼs expression couldnʼt help but turn complicated as her brows narrowed.

”You wouldnʼt believe me.”

”Try me.” Davis clenched his teeth, his expression becoming immensely curious.

Ellia viewed his expression as her lips curved, ”My prideful elder sister was awed by an Immortal Emperor-level existence and decided to become that figureʼs disciple. As for the reason, you could guess what it is...”

Davisʼs eyes went wide, unable to believe what he had just heard.

That prideful Myria had decided to become someoneʼs disciple? He would rather believe that Fraser Herrion had possessed her mind and made her do something like that. However, what if that Immortal Emperor figure was actually the reason why Myria was able to separate from Ellia?

In that case… his eyes couldnʼt help but tremble.

”Donʼt tell me itʼs… Saintess Lunaria…?”

If he had to guess, a person who could see through the essence of life and soul should be skilled in both Soul Forging Cultivation and Life Laws, and that kind of existence would only fit the description of Saints and Saintesses. Saintess Lunaria was the only Saintess-level figure he had heard about. Heck, Saintess Lunaria was the only Saintess he knew about other than Myria.

So if he had to guess someone who could supersede Myriaʼs knowledge, then there could only be that grand figure who brought harmony between all races and schools of thought to the First Haven World!

”As expected of my prince.” Ellia giggled, ”Your thinking is on point.”

”Not many people know that one of the Seven Guardians of the Aurora Cloud Gate is Saintess Lunaria, and those who know her only have immense respect for her. Myria and I came to join the Aurora Cloud Gate but were caught under masterʼs gaze and invited to her chambers. I presume it would be the same for you, my prince. However, thereʼs no need to worry. The Aurora Cloud Gate welcomes strong people, so they wouldnʼt try to push you away.”

”Even now, master only told me to bring Stella Voidfield back as her mother, my senior sister, was worried. As for you, my prince... I could deal with you however I want~”

Ellia cheerfully smiled at him as her face became bashful, her eyes turning away as she avoided his hot gaze. However, Davis could only feel stumped.

This kind of information was too heavy for him.

According to how progression went, shouldnʼt he meet Saintess Lunaria like when he was Immortal King, at the very least? Why was his fate looking like he was going to meet the First Haven Worldʼs big boss now?

This shouldnʼt be happening, bringing his cautious mind to reel with countless scenarios that would end badly for him.

It wasnʼt like he didnʼt believe in Ellia or wasnʼt happy that she finally had a body. It was just that… everything came too soon, catching him off guard.

”But Myria is an Anarchic Divergent like me. Saintess Lunaria dares to accept her, not afraid that it would bring ruin to her power that she is supposed to guard?”

”What do you think?” Ellia raised one of her brows at him, causing Davis to frown.

Saintess Lunaria was not afraid of taking in Myria as a disciple? Then that could only mean she was extremely confident, and considering that she brought harmony to the world when creating a pact with the Azure Dragon, he could understand. However, the opposite of it would be…

Davisʼs pupils couldnʼt help but tremble once again.

Saintess Lunaria was also an Anarchic Divergent…!?

Seeing Davisʼs shock, Ellia smiled and placed her finger on her lips before the veil, ”Myria, and I think that master is a Divergent from how she had achieved many things and yet doesnʼt have a reputation of being an Anarchic Divergent. She also has the title Divine Saintess and doesnʼt face a backlash like we would because she is already strong.”

”Many people also donʼt know that the Aurora Cloud Gate is a congregation of Divergents secluding themselves all year long. Why? Itʼs because those Divergents themselves know if they stepped out, they would discolor the heaven and earth with their corruptive aura. Considering that they never come out, the world has also forgotten about them and would only occasionally see the Aurora Cloud Gateʼs light piercing through the skies like a shooting star revealing its last glorious light.”

”…”
