Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2419 Heavenly Wind Punishment

*Shhh!~*

Life energy surged from his palm as they encased the dull green heavenly wind blade.

With the heavenly blade of wind losing its sharpness and momentum, its edge weakened and became ineffective, becoming ripe for the taking.

*Rumble!~~~*

Sensing Davisʼs action, the invisible clouds above rumbled like they were enraged.

Outside the secret realm, many Immortal Kingsʼ eyes couldnʼt help but go wide as they looked at the skies.

”Wha-?”

”Isnʼt that an Immortal King Tribulation?”

”How come It has formed above the secret realm? Wait… the pressure isnʼt that great. Whatʼs going on?”

Looking at the vague form of azure clouds that would only be visible to Immortal Kings, they couldnʼt help but tremble.

Just what was going on inside the Void Dust Secret Realm?

Notably, the Zyrus Familyʼs two Immortal Kingʼs expression was severe. Other than Klein Zyrus, everyone else was dead. They appeared to be deeply worried, but in truth, there was a glimmer of excitement in their eyes.

After all, it was said creating a mutated Supreme Immortal Sigil meant bringing down a Heavenly Flame Tribulation upon oneself. It meant that their Young Master Candidate Klein Zyrus had succeeded in his endeavor!

However, since Klein Zyrus already possessed a high amount of karmic sin, the heavens were more angered with him and sent a Heavenly Wind Tribulation. It was similar to how some legends were described, causing them to tremble.

The two Immortal Kings couldnʼt help but look at each other, almost wanting to exchange a fist bump as they rejoiced but still kept their faces worried, seemingly not understanding what was going on like the others.

However, little did they know that they were clueless as the others.

It was only Nadia who stayed hidden in the forests but glanced at the invisible change in the skies and sensed its pressure, knew what was going on, understanding that who else than it could be other than her master as she smiled proudly.

In the Void Dust Tree Island, Davis still held the wind blade in his hand, not letting go of it.

Although it was subdued and broken, he could still feel that it had some instinctual Will in it that wanted to cleave through him. It lightly struggled to get out of his hand as though wanting to retreat and gain speed to carve him, but no matter how it tried, it could not escape from his iron grasp.

Quickly, three more seconds passed, and a vague rumble echoed across the secret realm.

It caused everyone in the secret realm to run off like scared cattle. The powerful ones wondered if this immense change in the spatial world resulted from the battle between Mo Tian and Dead End. Just the thought of it made them shudder, causing them to wonder what kind of existence they were.

Some even began to think that they were the legendary Anarchic Divergents.

Davis moved his hand and aimed his other hand at the skies that immaculately rippled.

*Bang!~*

Another heavenly wind blade got caught in his hand, giving off creaking metal sounds as it struggled to cleave him, but before it could even leave after noticing that it couldnʼt lacerate him through, life energy surged out from his palm again, entrapping it. Its aggressiveness became severely impacted, and the struggle started to die down like the previous heavenly wind blade.

”Hmm…”

Davis saw how easily he could handle a heavenly wind blade that he had been incredibly cautious of in the past.

Previously, he remembered being barely able to dodge a heavenly wind strike as it took his arm but now, one was practically stuck in his hold, unable to even put a scratch or cleave past his arm as it once did before, while the other was almost refined.

He couldnʼt help but smile brightly, knowing that it was thanks to the Grand Chaos Body Art that ultimately made his body incredibly robust. Even an Emperor-Tier Earth Dragon that boasted the highest physical defense and physical prowess admitted defeat in front of him.

The more the Grand Chaos Body Art revealed its prowess, the more he felt that it was worth it to train it, even going far as to remove his previous accomplishments of possessing immortal beast bloodlines.

But he also felt strange, wondering why there was heavenly wind striking him when it didnʼt for conjuring a mutated Supreme Immortal Fire Rune.

ʼIs it because the punishment is there only one time for a single cultivation system?ʼ

Davis wondered but didnʼt bother too much as he concentrated on refining heavenly wind so that he could absorb and comprehend them. Although it was unlikely that he could conjoin it with his current Essence Gathering Cultivation, at least he would be able to use it.

Besides, he wasnʼt worried about the karmic burden since it was already extremely high that it wouldnʼt increase anymore. The act of comprehending Level Seven Intent of Space Laws and creating a mutated Supreme Immortal Crest out of it was no more than adding a drop to a lake.

Even reviving an Emperor Beast Stage Magical Beast like Katherine Hilltail didnʼt seem to burden him much.

After all, not only did he revive two existences that were comparable to a Level One Immortal King, but he was also afflicted with the word ʼDivineʼ that acted as a hotbed for karmic burden. Fortunately, he didnʼt lay down on it but still, having owned that title was still problematic, giving him enough karmic burden to be deader than dead.

If it werenʼt for that, he wouldnʼt need karmic nature to give him some edge.

*Bang!~*

Three seconds later, another heavenly wind blade got caught in his empty hand as the first heavenly wind blade was already refined, ready to be absorbed and comprehended.

”Only three?”

However, three more seconds passed, and no matter how he waited after that, there were no more heavenly wind blades, causing him to frown.

The tyrannical pressure of the heavens also receded, making his mouth open wide.

”What the…”

Davis became dumbfounded. He expected nine strikes but only faced three strikes.

Did the heavens know that he was going to plunder them anyway and decided to retreat strategically, or was it only three strikes as a form of punishment?

ʼWell… a Heavenly Wind Tribulation is said to be an Immortal Kingʼs Tribulation, so I guess facing three strikes instead of nine would only be fair...ʼ

Davis felt regretful while he grudgingly consoled himself. He looked at the skies sulkily, wanting to scream some insults, but with his current karmic burden, he decided against it.

Nonetheless, in a minute, he refined the heavenly wind blades and couldnʼt help but smirk profoundly as his gaze stayed on the three azure curved blade wisps floating in front of him.

Their essence was silent yet deadly, producing bizarre ripples in the space as though it was going to collapse the surroundings. However, it was perfectly stable, even more so than refined strands of heavenly lightning wisps and heavenly flame wisps.

Still, due to the heavenly wind blades being more powerful than any tribulation he had gone through, it was more likely capable of allowing him to comprehend Wind Laws till Level Seven Abstruse Intent, once again breaking the heavenly restriction placed on all human life over comprehension.

However, there was not enough time until the closing of the secret realm. He possibly could not take this out with him or risk getting caught, even though it was more silent and calm than any other heavenly wisp he had seen.

But, he couldnʼt help but think of a certain plan that may or may not work.

”You… who are you…?”

Davis turned to look at the Void Dust Treeʼs spirit, her starry violet eyes trembling at him. With the life energy still shrouding the heavenly wind wisps, she could see very well what went on. Although she was clueless, she could intrinsically feel that pure white energy was good for her.

”I told you, but you didnʼt listen...” Smiling lightly, Davis shrugged.

”Ah~ I...”

The Void Dust Tree girl was speechless, not knowing what to do as her expression turned regretful.

”… I apologize. I didnʼt think that you were capable of possessing such nutritious energy...” She put her head down, turned around, and returned to her space.

”Erm…”

Davis didnʼt know what to say as he saw her despondent figure. Was she not going to even negotiate, thinking that she had completely lost her opportunity?

He couldnʼt help but think she was genuinely naive. Moreover, she also seemed to be unaware of life energy. He didnʼt know if her knowledge was lacking or if life energy wasnʼt as popular as death energy. However, he did understand that it was difficult to figure out with just a look unless one had personally experienced them at the moment or before.

Nonetheless, he raised his palm, summoning out a crimson droplet.

Instantly, earthen undulations filled the region, shocking the Void Dust Tree girl as she turned to look at what was going on again, becoming fearful as the immortal aura of a tyrannical beast clouded her senses.

At the same time, another figure also vaguely shook, causing Davisʼs head to swivel in that figureʼs direction.
