Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Ten o’clock

When Huo Jinnan and Che Huan, along with the little one, arrived at the cemetery, Wen Ru and Qin Moting were already there.

Seated in her wheelchair, Wen Ru looked in Huo Jinnan’s direction, ”Jinnan, let’s wait a bit longer, Nuannuan and the others should be arriving soon.”

Huo Jinnan responded with a hum, ”Good, more people are about to come.”

He stood there and made a phone call, ”Come over now.”

After ten minutes, Wen Hua, Bi Fu, and Wen Nuan bumped into a disheveled Huo Jinyun at the foot of the hill.

Huo Jinyun saw Wen Hua but said nothing.

Wen Hua looked toward Huo Bei.

Huo Bei said softly, ”The master told me to bring the young miss here.”

Wen Hua didn’t say anything more and, along with Bi Fu and Wen Nuan, ascended the hill.

Huo Bei led Huo Jinyun up the hill, while the old man’s car followed behind and soon arrived.

Uncle Guan looked at the old gentleman.

The old gentleman opened the car door, stepped out, and headed for the hill.

Uncle Guan quickly caught up, and just as they reached the graves, he saw from afar the young master kick the young miss on her leg, sending her to her knees directly, turning her head to look at the old gentleman.

The old gentleman stood there, looking on without uttering a word.

Uncle Guan said softly, ”Old master, let’s go back.”

”Let’s go, let’s take a look.”

No sooner had the old man finished speaking than he was already walking toward that direction.

Uncle Guan eyed the old man’s retreating figure, recalling how he had stayed up all night there with the young miss, and hurried over to support him.

The old gentleman shook off Uncle Guan, ”No need to help me, I’m not so frail.”

Uncle Guan stood aside, following the old gentleman and watching him carefully.

Once he arrived at Wen Ru’s parents’ tombstone, the old gentleman halted, looked at Huo Jinyun who was kneeling there for a while, then his gaze settled on Huo Jinnan.

Huo Jinnan turned towards the old gentleman, ”Do you also wish to accompany Huo Jinyun?”

When the old gentleman heard his title had changed to ”you,” he stood there, gripping his cane firmly, eyeing Huo Jinnan intently.

Huo Jinnan turned around to face Wen Ru, ”Mom.”

Wen Ru acknowledged him and looked at the old master of the Huo Family, ”Huo Chengshan, it’s been a long time.”

The old gentleman faced Wen Ru.

Wen Ru smiled at him, ”I truly did not expect that, after twenty-three years, I could return to Hong Kong, and personally witness those who had committed crimes against my parents kneeling before them.”

The old gentleman looked at Wen Ru, ”If you say that, you better have evidence. Otherwise—”

Wen Ru faced the old gentleman, ”Huo Jinyun’s diary is in my hands.”

”What... what?”

The old gentleman and Huo Jinyun turned to look at Wen Ru at the same time.

Wen Ru smiled like a graceful flower reflected on water, ”I really did not expect Miss Huo to have the habit of keeping a diary, liking to write everything down. In black and white, during the trial, they can directly serve as evidence.”

”Wen Ru, you...”

Huo Jinyun stared at Wen Ru, itching to rush over and tear her apart.

Wen Ru averted her gaze, looking towards the tombstone. Unable to kneel, she could only sit there, ”Dad, Mom, my brother and I have brought Huanhuan and Nuannuan to see you. You died so unjustly for me and Huanhuan...”

Before she finished speaking, Wen Ru covered her mouth, holding back her sobs, tears streaming down her face.

Qin Moting squeezed her hand, wiped away her tears for her, then walked forward and knelt in front of the tombstone.

Che Huan, holding the little one’s hand, also knelt down there, looking at the photographs on the tombstone, ”Xiaowei, these are your great-grandfather and great-grandmother.”

The little one uttered an ”oh,” knelt there, and sincerely bowed three times, ”Great-grandfather, great-grandmother, I hope you’re happy in that world. Huanhuan’s expecting a baby, and you need to bless her too. Oh, and if there really are ghosts, you should turn into vengeful ones. Don’t ever let those bad people who hurt you off the hook, make sure you haunt them every night!”
