Beneath the Red Dragon

Amidst the fervent denunciations, an attendant dressed in appropriate attire quickly walked from outside the banquet hall to Duke Tafuri’s side and whispered, ”Sir, important news has arrived from the Golden Empire.”

The originally noisy hall suddenly fell silent, as all the nobles looked on intently.

News about the Golden Empire was the focus of everyone’s attention at this moment.

Duke Tafuri nodded and listened attentively.

The attendants around him were elderly servants who had served for many years and knew the rules of etiquette. If it were not extremely important news, the attendant would not rashly interrupt the nobles’ gathering.

A crisp clang, ”What?”

Duke Tafuri’s face was incredibly shocked, losing composure instantly.

The good news the other nobles anticipated turned into bad news, causing the previously heated atmosphere in the hall to become cold.

The Dragon Emperor of the Northern Empire displayed unbelievable power that night, not only killing and capturing several legendary Golden Dragons and Titans but also confronting two Supreme Divine Spirits in a single night.

The consciousness projection of the Platinum Dragon God Bahamut, which descended upon the scene, was shattered by the terrifying Dragon Emperor’s roar, and even the divine punishment brought by the Immortal Queen Tiamat could not affect the Ancestral Red Dragon, which the nobles never understood.

Many who are concerned have gradually received the news, just like these nobles who gathered according to plan.

Many powerful beings also observed the shocking battle through various means, and the power exhibited by Ancestral Red Dragon Karon Gogomola in this abrupt change was enough to be forever unforgettable to others.

This unique and unprecedented Red Dragon, the influence it caused is gradually spreading.

But these nobles all know that in Aikania’s history, there will surely be a glorious page, preserving the story and legend of that Red Dragon.

Perhaps not only in the world of Aikania, the nobles thought so.

The failure of the plan left these nobles regretful, and the declaration of revenge announced by the Golden Empire started to worry these nobles.

”On what grounds does the Golden Empire declare war on us?” the Marino Duchy envoy said, ”Even those dragon hunters don’t know our specific appearance, and those who contact dragon hunters are hidden well. Moreover, the Golden Empire has not caught those dragon hunters until now.”

These nobles forgot that the previous excuse of shouting to attack the Golden Empire was not a proper justification either, and a ’counter-dumping war’ was just barely a usable gimmick.

”Regardless, we should prepare for both scenarios,” said the envoy from the Rose Duchy. ”If those dragon hunters manage to return, we need to control them immediately, by whatever means.”

”If these dragon hunters can extinguish the Golden Empire’s wrath, then let these dragon hunters perish.”

The words spoken by the Rose Duchy envoy were immediately responded to with agreement from all the nobles.

Even though the dragon hunter group includes legendary warriors and other types of powerful beings, not all of these nobles were extraordinarily strong.

But due to their superior mentality of false pride, and their country-controlling capability background, these nobles viewed the dragon hunters as tools that could be easily disposed of.

After all, in these nobles’ eyes, even legendary warriors cannot withstand a full-scale army attack directly.

”Moreover, the Golden Empire is surrounded on all sides,” said the Rose Duchy envoy in a deep voice. ”Whether it’s the blockade from the Divine Forsaken Mountain Range, threats from the Frost Giants behind, or the Beastman Kingdom’s control from the east, it can restrain the Golden Empire from deploying large troops easily.”

”With the alliance of so many of our countries, why should we fear a small scale war from the Giant Dragon Realm? Ridiculous! That Red Dragon’s power may be terrifying, but can it defeat us on its own? If they dare come, we will utterly destroy the Legion of the Golden Empire.”

Thus, the atmosphere in the banquet hall turned lively again.

These nobles all agreed with the words of the Rose Duchy envoy, even though the Golden Empire’s Legion can rely on their giant ocean ships to wage war, it definitely cannot overwhelm us with troops; the carrying capacity of ships is very limited, and the Golden Empire’s navy, developed in just a few short years, doesn’t have the capability for large-scale deployment.

”Then let them come!” a noble said forcefully, drawing the attention of several lady duchesses.

The lively noise rose again, with a melodious sound pervading.
