Beneath the Red Dragon

The Royal Capital, the City of Capito of the Golden Empire.

The royal city of the Golden Empire is also a large municipal administrative unit directly under the jurisdiction of the empire.

A super large city, it is the political center, cultural center, center of magic civilization and technological innovation, and center of national civilization exchange of the empire.

As of now, according to the Imperial Government’s municipal statistics, the Royal Capital encompasses sixteen districts, and with ongoing expansion, the total area is 68,000 square kilometers.

Besides the aesthetic and architectural standards of the Land of the Giant Dragons, which result in exceptionally large building footprints, the current plans of the Golden Empire do not favor super-tall, multi-story residential buildings.

This also relates to building conditions and materials. Large, wonder-like structures can be constructed with magic, but common residential buildings cannot yet bear such loads.

Humans are like trees—the more they yearn for sunlight up high, the deeper their roots must reach into the dark underground. The same applies to a civilized realm.

As a ruler not constrained by the current era’s environmental civilization limitations, Karon Gogomola certainly understands this principle.

Hence, Karon Gogomola has never engaged in pointless and senseless conquests due to the inherently strong and indelible desire to rule within his dragon blood, always striving to develop his own realm within necessity.

Since the birth of the Golden Empire’s territory, the country has sailed in a relatively correct direction under his will.

From the time when the Golden Empire’s grain and supplies became self-sufficient, the representative of paid education—the Giant Dragon Academy—has gradually spread to every city in the empire.

Then it gradually transformed into a small-scale compulsory education because only through such large-scale screening can true talent, true genius, and a knowledgeable large imperial grassroots be selected.

In this situation, the Golden Empire digests the legacy of the Ancient Magic Empire, the magic civilization technology, and learns from and assimilates the achievements of other developed planes.

Combining the native magic civilization of the Icaria World and the legacy knowledge of the Giant Dragons under Karon Gogomola’s will and thoughts has created a civilized realm like the Golden Empire.

And in this dragon madness turmoil, the empire’s responses and reaction speed are indeed extraordinarily rapid.

After all, ancient spells like the Dragon Madness Lock have long vanished from the Material Plane for several epochs.

Even the descendants of ancient giant dragon blood in the Icaria World rarely find such secrets in their heritage, let alone the true Dragon Madness Curse.

The existence of the Dragon Madness Curse is exceedingly rare, and the conditions to activate it are very stringent. After all, the original Dragon Madness Lock, in ancient tales, could only unleash such vast powers using a divine spirit as the medium.

Indeed, one of the mediums for the Dragon Madness Lock was none other than the supreme divine spirit of the Metal Dragons—His Majesty, the Platinum Dragon God Bahamut.

And the role played by the Platinum Dragon God Bahamut, known as the pure good god, was not entirely glorious.

In the eyes of some who indulge in conspiracy theories, this pure good dragon god and another supposed ’Good God’ from the cosmos, Loshanda, are ranked together as two great Evil Gods of the cosmos.

Not only because of the extreme measures taken by the Platinum Dragon King Bahamut against Immortal Queen Tiamat but also because, behind many secret events, the intentions and actions of this upright Platinum Dragon King are somewhat indescribable.

Of course, Karon Gogomola is not a conspiracy theorist, but Karon does not regard this Platinum Dragon God as the embodiment of light and goodness.

Karon Gogomola does not advocate stereotypes. Even though this Platinum Dragon God’s divine position influences Him, in Karon’s eyes, the world is not black and white but a delicate grey.

To easily believe in a divine spirit based on divine position and worldly stereotypes would make someone either a fanatical believer or a self-righteous tool.

Most of the time, the Platinum Dragon God Bahamut lives up to the title of a Good God and a wise elder of order, just as Karon once shattered His projection without igniting His anger—the deep sigh represented Bahamut’s attitude.

As for invoking divine punishment, the attitude of Immortal Queen Tiamat, who wishes for the Dragon Emperor of the Golden Empire to submit, is not that difficult to discern.

Because some ancient rumors claim that the Dragon Witch Demon who created the Dragon Madness Lock in ancient times did not learn it through personal research and exploration.

Instead, this ancient era’s Dragon Witch Demon had been taught the principles of the Dragon Madness Lock by Immortal Queen Tiamat, the Five-Colored Dragon God.

Najamate’s Heart also originates from the powerful divine-like Dragon King Nagamata, who followed Immortal Queen Tiamat in ancient epochs.

Only such a powerful dragon heart can carry the power of the Dragon Madness Lock, influencing the entire capital of the Golden Empire and gradually spreading over time.

The Dragon King responsible for causing the ’Dragon Fall Holy War’ that spread across countless cosmos should, in theory, have its influence attributed to the divine punishment of Immortal Queen Tiamat.

But the matter is not so simple. According to some circulating rumors, during ancient epochs, the divine-like Dragon King Nagamata was once controlled by a hidden ancient Death God.
