Beneath the Red Dragon

”Crossbowmen prepare, two hundred heavy shields form ranks forward, leave two hundred-man squads ready to encircle and kill! Others turn to other areas.”

Commander Gilenis of the Third Legion coldly ordered. The heavy shield soldiers in the front line instantly lowered their nearly man-high heavy shields, raised their long spears, crouched slightly, and advanced step by step.

The rear crossbow team immediately aimed through the space above the heavy shield soldiers at the female Black Dragon, who had already degenerated into a mindless beast in the pool of blood.

Sizzle,

Gilenis’s Legion Commander’s badge shimmered slightly, then the voice of the Elf sounded.

”Is this the Legion Commander Gilenis of the Third Legion?”

”It’s me,” Gilenis infused his Power of Heart Energy and responded.

The Imperial Stronghold Domain is based on the citizens’ Spiritual Domain. In vast applications, it is no different from the Power of the Mind.

The Magic Research Department once proposed the Magic Instant Communication Device, though achieving the effect is not difficult.

Due to material restrictions and the stability of the magic effect, the Magic Instant Communication Device is greatly affected by distance and interference, unlike the more convenient, swift, and far-reaching telepathic-style communication in the Spiritual Domain.

Even though creating magic equipment to carry the Imperial Stronghold Domain also consumes a lot of resources, compared to the advantages of this telepathic-like instant communication, the resource consumption doesn’t seem overly burdensome.

This is also why entry-level Casters are required in the Observatory within the Mage Tower above the Imperial Firmament.

Only entry-level Casters have the will and mental strength to sufficiently mobilize their Power of the Mind, connecting the communication channels through the Imperial Stronghold Domain.

Moreover, under the passive potential influence of the ever-present Tree of Life and World Tree Ovo in Imperial cities, Green Field Elves who have settled in the Empire for over ten years are more likely to produce entry-level Casters on a large scale, resulting in nearly sixty percent of the Observatory personnel coming from the former Green Field Elf species.

The voice of the Elf quickly sounded in Gilenis’s ear,

”Please lead your legion to the front Thirteenth District, where twelve Wild Dragons have lost their minds and are going berserk. Immediate action is needed.”

”Also, according to the estimated strength of the legion, please allocate enough soldiers to go to the nearby Fourteenth District, where six mad Wild Dragons are attacking the citizens’ shelters!”

”Besides, some malicious elements also need to be eradicated!”

”The more central and prosperous the area, the more Mad Dragons there should be. I plan to sweep from the Fifteenth District where I am located all the way to the center of the First District. Sweeping around the periphery this way would be a huge waste of time,”

Gilenis spoke up.

”Obey the orders, Legion Commander Gilenis, this is the order of Lord Thunder Doss. As for other areas, you don’t need to worry. There are the Caster Corps and Long-range Corps to contain them, as well as several Giant Dragon lords. Your task is to quickly eliminate the Wild Dragons in these two areas since many Imperial citizens have fled to these areas to seek shelter.”

Gilenis decisively ordered: ”Change the formation, with the rear units as the vanguard, head to the Thirteenth District. Barrow, take eight hundred-man squads and head directly to the Fourteenth District without delay!”

There was only the sound of armor clashing, no other sounds, as the legion abandoned the Giant Dragon that lay a few hundred meters away, immersed in its indulgence, and sped towards other areas.

Gilenis took a deep breath, squeezed the heavy hammer in his hand, and looked at the young Black Dragon.

The movement of the legion had already alarmed the giant beast, whose beastly eyes glowed coldly as they turned to look here, and its massive body slowly rose from the pool of blood, its massive wings slowly unfolding.

With his strength, he could single-handedly challenge this young Black Dragon. He had no fear of covering the retreat, but dealing with this Black Dragon would be time-consuming, and as a Legion Commander, he could not afford minor gains at the expense of greater responsibilities.

A magnificent longsword descended from the sky, stabbed into the ground between the young Black Dragon and Gilenis, swaying with a sword hum. A purple-haired man in gilded light armor stood on the rooftop of a nearby street, watching Gilenis.

A robust Beastman stood shoulder to shoulder with this remarkably charismatic purple-haired man, his upper body bare, his bulging muscles crisscrossed with scars, which only highlighted the Beastman’s extraordinary bravery and might.

Even his ugly protruding tusks appeared notably appealing under the imposing aura of this martial Beastman.

”You should go, Warrior of the Golden Empire. This young Black Dragon is our prey and symbol of strength!” the muscular and brave Beastman laughed loudly.

The man with long purple hair frowned slightly and said, ”Clearly, I arrived first.”

Gilenis nodded slowly, saluting these two renowned warriors, then strode forward to join his legion’s formation.

Because Gilenis knew these two individuals: Kai Luo, the Dawn Divine Sword, and Claxi, the Frenzied Hunter Orc.

No matter what reason these two helped him, he no longer needed to question.

The faint sound of a quarrel drifted from behind,

”Kai Luo, you can’t even beat that Northern Lands little chick Vic, yet you want to single-handedly challenge a young Giant Dragon? You better step aside and watch how I take it down.”

”You don’t know shit. My sword doesn’t leave its sheath unless it sees blood. As for that Northern Lands eagle Vic, I spared him only because I found his sister attractive!”
