Armed Train in the Apocalypse

”October 21, 2040, Extreme Cold, -89°C”

”Su Yan got kicked by a kangaroo and lost a tooth, cried all night, and tomorrow we’ll have to make a west wing and put the three little rascals aside.”

”October 22, 2040, Extreme Cold, -83°C”

”Today Su Yi went to stand up for his brother and lost two teeth as well. He has a lot of grit, sat silently all night. I wonder if he got kicked silly?”

”October 23, 2040, Extreme Cold, -84°C”

”Su Li wanted to match his brother and sister and ended up knocking out a tooth. Great, now silliness is contagious.”

...

Su Huan hasn’t gone anywhere during this time, not even to take a look at the heated battles of the Pale Battlefront.

Every morning, he would go to the train, sit for half a day to handle work, then pick up the kids from school, and return to his house on the surface, like an ordinary man, clearing snow and renovating the house.

He didn’t let anyone else interfere; everything was made by him and Yu Yue.

The once lonely house was refurbished anew, with all the furniture replaced by his handmade ones. Two wings were added on either side of the house, one for the kids to live in, and the other serving as a kitchen and storage room where he would craft furniture or play with the kids.

The long-missed train conductor’s log had turned into a record of observations for the little ones.

He initially wanted to plant an Iron-Eating Tree in the yard, but unfortunately, it couldn’t handle the cold and died the next day.

However, he managed to raise a tiger. He originally wanted to raise wolves, but Professor Ma and others strongly opposed it, saying wolves can’t be tamed and advised him to raise a tiger cub instead.

He was a bit puzzled, why is it that wolves can’t be tamed but tigers can?

He Jie still set up his home next door to his, never cooked meals, and when it’s time, he’d bring his whole family over to mooch a meal. Worse still, he even brought along his daughter and son-in-law. They ate his food and drank his drinks, expecting him to entertain.

Iron Old Man moved to the other side of Su Huan’s house, claiming to prevent Su Huan from sneaking away. His son Qi Zhenbang wanted to take care of him but was driven away.

Su Huan couldn’t just watch the old man freeze alone outside, so he had to make him a fire and bring him meals. The old man perceived this as overly obliging, so he simply joined in for meals every day. However, he was quite restrained, never drank, and most of the time, entertained the three little ones with stories.

Initially, Su Huan was eager about educating the kids, but eventually, he got tormented to the point of questioning his life; he simply couldn’t fathom what went on in those little heads—teaching them lessons was harder than training tigers and kangaroos.

After some time, everyone began to notice something wasn’t quite right; whose tiger hops on two legs and whose kangaroo roars?

Li Han and Huang Sea forcefully took back the rights to rear them.

Just as Su Huan finished his day’s work and was considering whether to call Tan Yunxi over for some relaxation, the office door was kicked open with a bang.

Before the person even entered, the aura had already extended two meters forward.

Wide shoulders and a full chest tapered dramatically at the waist, making the woman appear like a mythological female warrior—brave and seductive.

With a few steps, she reached Su Huan, placing one foot on his solid wooden desk, which groaned under the pressure, with several footprints already marking the spot.

According to Lian Jin, this was already giving face to him as the train conductor; otherwise, this table would’ve retired long ago.

Su Huan wholeheartedly agreed; after all, she was a Tier Four Evolver mastering the rule of Power, her calves long and toned—a masterpiece of violent aesthetics.

”Had enough feeling?”

Lian Jin watched Su Huan’s incredibly natural, shameless hand, her eyebrows furrowing.

”How could it ever be enough?”

Su Huan propped his face on one hand on the desk, admiring the perfect curve of the woman’s calf, while his other hand continued along the arc.

Lian Jin sneered, ”Your wife is downstairs cooking for you and the kids, and you’re up here feeling up another woman, doesn’t your conscience hurt?”

”What do I do? You can’t cook either.”

The woman kept her face cold, ”I’m not your wife, besides, I’m here for serious business this time.”

”Oh, oh, what’s up...”

”Stop fooling around, Su Huan!”

”Mm-hmm.”

Feigning compliance on his face, Su Huan continued his business. If a woman didn’t want such advances, her body would become harder than metal, capable of sparking like chiseling iron.

But there was no change now, proving she wasn’t as unwilling as she appeared.

Two hours later, the woman lazily turned over, pressing Su Huan down, and viciously said, ”Don’t think a small favor like this can fool me. How long are you planning to drag us along?”

”Haven’t figured it out yet.”

Lian Jin frowned while looking at Su Huan, who was calm as ever, and slammed her fist into his chest.

She cursed, ”Why are you being so wishy-washy? What’s there to think about? Roll up your sleeves and get on with it. If you win, you can enjoy time with your wife and kids, and no one will say anything. If you lose, try again. Do you think dawdling for two days will let you avoid it?”

”It won’t come to that.”

Su Huan sat up, pulling the belligerent woman into his arms, and chuckled, ”It’s just... spending a couple more days with you all.”

For some reason, seeing his demeanor, Lian Jin’s heart unexpectedly trembled, her mood softened considerably.

She leaned back, turned her head, and mumbled something softly.

Su Huan squeezed her, shocked, ”What did you say?”

In a fierce posture, the woman clung onto him, growling, ”I want what others have too!”

The entire morning passed, but Su Huan still didn’t hold much hope. According to Director Xu and the others, he was now considered a different kind of creature—whether he counted as human was debatable, and even without reproductive isolation, it would be hard to conceive a child.
