Armed Train in the Apocalypse

Su Huan took two days to help Xiaoba and Wan Xing become Evolvers, and then continued heading north.

In the Acid Rain Zone, he met Huang Sea and set out on his modified motorcycle, only to be targeted by a band of Scavengers who chased him for dozens of kilometers. Though the Scavengers didn’t harm him, the motorcycle took a severe hit, nearly leading him to drown in a sudden flood.

However, relying on his activated Genetic Primordial, he finally reached the Gravity Zone after six months, using the information he gained through rebirth to obtain Lian Jin’s help, and he rallied several major forces at the time.

He led everyone into the Eternal Night to join forces with the military and Yu Yao.

Then came endless battles, Su Huan, Cheng Zhan, Lian Jin... as well as Xiaoba who arrived later, many were promoted to Tier Three in the relentless fight. When Su Huan ascended to Tier Four, five years had passed since the dawn of the apocalypse.

The two sides fought like trapped beasts under the cage of Eternal Night.

Bodies lay everywhere, no one survived.

...

Armored cavalrymen roamed silently across the wasteland of Eternal Night, like a scythe repeatedly sweeping away the surviving humans.

Suddenly, a cavalryman disappeared noiselessly from the ground.

The cavalry leader turned his head warily, the ground bore only remnants of human war fortifications, standing silently in the night like fallen corpses.

Yet he sensed something was amiss, and the next instant, the long-dead corpses on the ground stood up!

Human strongmen!

The answer suddenly surfaced in the cavalry leader’s mind.

But it was too late, a Curved Saber came spiraling through the air with a deafening sound.

The warhorse, sensing danger, reared up with a neigh, only to be cleaved into halves along with its rider, the ground trembled, and in the sand and mud, the muted bloodstains came alive again, surging skyward like a tidal wave to form a wall of blood. Shadows emerged from the wall, roaring with anger at their enemy and the Eternal Night, the weapons scattered on the ground trembled in the roar and pierced into the earth.

The Tier Three ”Gladiator Master” Domain, the ”Death Fight Arena,” fully formed, and at the moment of Cheng Zhan’s death or voluntary release, no one could walk out alive!

The slaughter was brief, and at the moment of arrival, it was nearly over.

The remaining soldiers crawled out from cover, following Cheng Zhan to regroup southward.

On more distant battlefields, similar events unfolded, with War Giants rampaging through, metal fortifications blotting out the sky, flames and lightning raging.

The last of Donghuang’s army, led by Evolvers, crossed layer after layer of blockade, enduring countless battles, barely regrouping.

”Master Eight, still have energy left?”

Lian Jin rubbed his fist and asked, bearing a massive slash that nearly severed the Iron Fist, the pride of a Tier Three Evolver, but the opponent was less fortunate, now with his head smashed and tossed into a trench.

”Still plenty, enough to cover another charge.”

The night concealed Xiaoba’s pale face and the faint metallic hue in his eyes.

”I’ll lead the charge this time, Lian Jin, you cover the rear.” Cheng Zhan stood up with his dual sabers [Roar], charging forward amidst Lian Jin’s grumbling curses.

But then, Cheng Zhan’s robust figure was sent flying back in Lian Jin’s shrinking pupils.

The twin sabers flew apart, his chest pierced through, his whole body like prey pinned to the ground by a long spear, not even having time to deploy his Domain, instantly on the brink of death.

”Tier Four!”

Everyone who witnessed this thought simultaneously.

A towering military general, five meters tall with horse and man, emerged from the night, his armor pitch-black, even under the spotlight casting only a shadowy ink, his full form indistinct.

Only the warhorse’s eyes, blazing red as fire.

”We’re doomed.”

Lian Jin clashed his fists together, his face as gloomy as dripping water.

He could no longer worry about the dying Cheng Zhan, with the disparity between Tier Four and Tier Three, soon he would follow Cheng Zhan’s path.

Just as he prepared to assault, an arc of lightning suddenly shot across the air, illuminating the entire Eternal Night in an instant. Utilizing retinal afterimages, Lian Jin saw every detail within four or five kilometers, with a continuous flow of troops converging here.

A clear voice pierced through the battlefield, ”Just in time.”

A towering figure descended from the sky, eyes long and sharp as blades, a wild flair added by his unkempt beard, a cluster of electrical sparks glimmering within a kilometer around, coalescing into a river of thunderfire.

Lian Jin carried Cheng Zhan, retreating frantically, while running, he could not help but give Su Huan a thumbs-up.

”Just perfect!”

Xiaoba watching Su Huan descending from the sky, eyes sparkling, but felt some unease sensing the poised yet unstruck power of the opposing military general, ”Can you do it alone?”

Su Huan turned his head, flashing a bright smile, ”Don’t worry, what you need to do now is lead everyone to retreat, it’ll get hard to control once a fight breaks out.”

Seeing the flickering light points deep in Su Huan’s eyes, Xiaoba nodded.

And the river of thunderfire transformed into a fiery dragon, already roaring towards the military general.

...

The remaining troops, under the lead of numerous Evolvers, regrouped and reorganized in the south.

Major General He Wei took over the position of Marshal, becoming Donghuang’s last Marshal, and Donghuang’s administrative system completely collapsed along with the fall of the three joint command centers.

In the metallic fortifications, numbness coexisted with exhilaration.

Watching the enemies surging over the horizon, everyone mustered their last courage, calmly doing what they must do.
