Alchemy Master

Chapter 439, Are You Here to Tease Me?

Although he had no intention of entering, since he was already here, Qin Yichen had no choice but to make the best of the situation and began observing his surroundings.

The space he found himself in seemed extremely vast, with no end in sight.

“Zhiyi, how do you start the trial?” While surveying the area, Qin Yichen asked. If he wanted to leave this place, perhaps the only way was to help Gongshu Zhiyi pass her trial.

“Just enter the Spirit Sea and accept the trial,” Gongshu Zhiyi pouted, pointing in a certain direction with an unconcerned attitude.

Following the direction of Gongshu Zhiyi’s small arm, Qin Yichen’s pupils suddenly contracted. In that spot, space seemed somewhat distorted, with ripples spreading outward continuously. A subtle fluctuation emanated from within, causing one’s Soul to tremble.

“That is a Spirit Sea?” Looking at the somewhat distorted space, Qin Yichen was extremely surprised.

Spirit Sea was unlike other Treasures of Heaven and Earth. It could only be formed when cultivators had Spiritual Energy cultivation of a certain level, and they dispersed their entire Spiritual Body before death.

Generally speaking, Spirit Seas were something only top-tier Forces would own.

[Such a powerful Spirit Sea must have required at least a dozen cultivators in the Spiritual Rupture Realm to create.] Qin Yichen narrowed his eyes, feeling somewhat apprehensive.

This Spirit Sea could not be absorbed, if someone entered it, they would be subjected to the pressure from the Spirit Sea. If an ordinary person rashly intruded, they would likely be directly frightened to death by its terrifying pressure.

[As expected of the Gongshu Clan, to possess such a thing. No wonder Gongshu Yushan was worried about Zhiyi. This Spirit Sea is no ordinary object.] At this moment, Qin Yichen somewhat understood a Father’s worries.

“Let’s go! After passing the coming-of-age ceremony, you have to take me out to play!” Gongshu Zhiyi smiled at Qin Yichen, then walked directly toward the Spirit Sea without fear or concern.

“Hmm?” After walking just a few meters, Gongshu Zhiyi seemed to discover something, suddenly halting her steps and making a light exclamation.

*Hum…* As she made this sound, in the empty ground around her, there was suddenly a fluctuation of World Energy. Then, streams of World Energy quickly shuttled through, and in just a moment, an Array appeared out of nowhere. From it, a powerful wave of World Energy rippled out.

Through the somewhat transparent World Energy, Qin Yichen saw Gongshu Zhiyi’s figure. She did not seem surprised by its appearance. After her light exclamation, she quickly began looking for the Array Core.

Only by finding the Array Core and then destroying it could one escape from the Array.

“An Array? Do we need to break through Arrays to reach the Spirit Sea?” Qin Yichen murmured, nodding slightly. [I guess this should be expected; if the person could not even break through a single Array, going to the Spirit Sea would only result in death.]

Within the Array, Gongshu Zhiyi’s big eyes scanned everywhere, continuously observing the Array, trying to find the location of the Array Core.

[According to Qingshan, she is very talented. So, she should be able to pass the trial, right?] Qin Yichen thought to himself, and then he stepped forward as well.

Since he had entered, he might as well help Gongshu Zhiyi pass her coming-of-age ceremony trial more quickly.

This Array seemed to be effective only against those trapped within it. Qin Yichen walked in from the outside and encountered no resistance.

*Hum…* However, as soon as Qin Yichen entered, before he had time to observe the Array, he felt something akin to Spiritual Energy sweep through his body.

[What was that?] Qin Yichen frowned. That Spiritual Energy seemed to ignore his defences, thoroughly examining his physical condition.

While Qin Yichen was puzzled, his expression suddenly changed because he sensed that the surrounding World Energy seemed to become more chaotic at this moment.

On this empty ground, World Energy gathered like a storm. Arrays made of light took shape out of thin air, and waves of powerful World Energy continued to surge outward.

…

At this moment, outside the Gongshu Clan’s ancestral shrine, the World Energy also began to violently fluctuate.

“This is bad!” Perceiving this disturbance, Gongshu Yushan’s face suddenly changed.

With Gongshu Zhiyi’s talent, there would certainly be Arrays blocking her way, but it should never cause such a great disturbance!

Now, with such a commotion, there was only one possibility – Qin Yichen had also been included in the trial!

Only Qin Yichen, who was even more exceptional than Gongshu Zhiyi, could trigger such an unusual reaction!

“Patriarch!” Simultaneously, the Elders of the Gongshu Clan were also anxious. For countless years, no one had ever caused such a disturbance.

As Elders, they had all broken through the Arrays in the coming-of-age ceremony and accepted the trial in the Spirit Sea, ultimately becoming pillars of the Gongshu Clan. They were all extremely wary of those Arrays because they were not simply ordinary Containment Arrays…

Now, this unusual activity was undoubtedly many times greater than what they had caused. At this moment, what kind of mayhem was occurring inside?

“Quickly, ask the Supreme Elder to come!” Gongshu Yushan ordered. The Elder beside him immediately waved his arm, riding a wooden bird that soared into the sky.

Meanwhile, in the testing ground of the coming-of-age ceremony, Gongshu Zhiyi’s small mouth was wide open.

*Crack! Crack!* Under her somewhat stunned gaze, the Array that was originally just a light barrier, now had layer upon layer of Arrays stacking on top of each other. In just a moment, the Array trapping them had already accumulated more than ten layers. Even now, the World Energy fluctuations outside had not stopped; and the Array continued to stack.

This staking continued for more than a quarter of an hour, when the surging World Energy finally slowly came to a stop.

By now, the originally transparent Array had become extremely solid, and a terrifying World Energy pressure was being emanated from within.

“Brother Yichen, are you here to tease me?” Looking at this Array that was vastly different from before, Gongshu Zhiyi’s eyes became bewildered as she asked Qin Yichen.

Hearing these words, an embarrassed expression flashed across Qin Yichen’s face, and his lips involuntarily twitched as he gazed at the numerous Arrays formed – one overlapping another.

He had only intended to help Gongshu Zhiyi find the Array Core. Who knew what had caused such a strange reaction?

Rather than helping; it seemed more like he was here to cause her trouble.
