Alchemy Master

Chapter 437, coming-of-age ceremony

Once in the state of Unity of Heart and Soul, what was being Crafted would become flawless!

Even someone like Qingshan would still produce items with flaws.

Qin Yichen’s mastery over his Spiritual Energy had already reached the Mastery Realm, which was why, by coincidence earlier, he was able to enter this state that almost all young members of the Gongshu Clan dreamed of – Unity of Heart and Soul.

“What a marvelous state…” Qin Yichen murmured, then picked up another slightly flawed product, calming his mind and focusing.

Soon, the time it took for an incense stick to burn had passed, but Qin Yichen did not enter that state again. However, there was no anxiety in his heart, and he continued to calmly focus.

“Unity of Heart and Soul…” On the mountaintop, Gongshu Yushan slowly uttered these five words, his slightly trembling voice revealing his inner turbulence.

“No wonder he obtained the Master Craftsman’s Hammer!” Gongshu Cangyu also took a deep breath and slowly withdrew his gaze. Since Qin Yichen could touch upon the Unity of Heart and Soul state, it would presumably only take a little more time for him to fully grasp it.

“Yushan, whether he goes there must be his own choice. Remember, do not force him!” Gongshu Cangyu slowly exhaled and said.

Afterward, his figure stepped forward, and with one step, he was already a hundred meters away in midair. After taking a few more steps, his figure disappeared among the mountains.

Gongshu Yushan stood in place, silent for a long time.

He understood the meaning behind Gongshu Cangyu’s words. Originally, because of the Master Craftsman’s Hammer, he had wanted Qin Yichen to accompany Gongshu Zhiyi to that place, to help her pass the coming-of-age ceremony. However, now, the matter has become somewhat complicated.

Because the trials of that place would increase in difficulty according to one’s talent. Qin Yichen had touched the threshold of the Unity of Heart and Soul in just half a month! This was enough to prove that his talent was even above that of Gongshu Zhiyi.

If Qin Yichen entered that place, the difficulty would likely be the most astonishing in the history of the Gongshu Clan!

Although the more difficult the trial, the more one would gain and comprehend after successfully passing it, the possibility of successfully passing would decrease exponentially!

With Qin Yichen’s talent, if he went in with his Daughter, her chances of her successfully passing would definitely increase greatly, but that would surely put Qin Yichen in deep danger…

How one was to decide was indeed a difficult problem.

Finally, Gongshu Yushan sighed and withdrew his gaze, his eyes full of struggle.

In the blink of an eye, another half-month passed.

On this day, the Gongshu Clan was quite lively because today was the day for their Clan’s most talented Gongshu Zhiyi to hold her coming-of-age ceremony and undergo the trial!

When the first ray of dawn fell from the horizon, Qin Yichen habitually came out of his room, preparing to begin the day of cultivating.

*Whoosh!* However, just as he pushed open the door, an urgent sound of wind cutting through the air came from the sky.

Qin Yichen looked to the side, and the corners of his mouth twitched. On the familiar wooden bird, a little girl was looking at him with a sweet smile.

“Brother Yichen, today is my coming-of-age ceremony!” The arrival was none other than Gongshu Zhiyi. Today, she wore a light yellow dress, making her appear more elegant.

“En.” Qin Yichen nodded but did not continue the conversation because he knew that for Gongshu Zhiyi, this coming-of-age ceremony trial might be the worst nightmare of her life, or even its end…

“Hehe, Brother Yichen, you don’t seem happy?” However, Gongshu Zhiyi did not seem to fear the coming-of-age ceremony. She looked at Qin Yichen with a beaming smile, looked around, then leaned close to Qin Yichen’s ear and said, “After my coming-of-age ceremony, you have to take me out to play!”

[This girl…] Originally feeling somewhat worried, Qin Yichen, upon hearing these playful words, felt the heaviness in his heart being completely swept away. At once, he smiled back and nodded in agreement.

“Great! Since you’ve promised, Dad definitely will no longer stop me!” Seeing Qin Yichen nod, Gongshu Zhiyi was so excited that she waved her little hand and almost jumped up.

“Wait. Your Father hasn’t agreed to it yet?” The corner of Qin Yichen’s mouth twitched as he covered his face with his hand. He had completely assumed that Gongshu Yushan had already agreed, which was why he had promised her.

“Hehehe! No backing out now! He was the one who told me to come get you. Come on, let’s go.” Because of Qin Yichen’s promise, Gongshu Zhiyi’s eyes curved into crescent moons. She giggled as she spoke to Qin Yichen.

After that, Qin Yichen also leaped onto the wooden bird, and they flew toward the mountain peak of the Clan Hall.

The wooden bird was extremely fast, and in just a few minutes, they arrived above the Clan Hall. Then, under Gongshu Zhiyi’s guidance, the wooden bird slowly descended to the centre of the Clan Hall.

At this time, in the Clan Hall, there were figures flickering everywhere, and upon seeing Qin Yichen arriving together with Gongshu Zhiyi, everyone’s gazes immediately shot over.

“Let’s go, it’s almost time.” Gongshu Zhiyi did not pay attention to these gazes. She said to Qin Yichen, and then somewhat impatiently headed toward the Clan Hall.

In front of the Clan Hall, the crowd parted. At the forefront, Gongshu Yushan had already been waiting there with many Elders.

Seeing Gongshu Zhiyi, a subtle strange colour flashed in Gongshu Yushan’s eyes. If possible, he would even want to spoil this girl for a lifetime, only hoping that she would be safe and sound, without having to participate in this coming-of-age ceremony.

But this was just a Father’s private desire. As the Patriarch of the Gongshu Clan, he had no choice but to send Gongshu Zhiyi, who had the most outstanding talent, to undergo the trial – even if she was his most beloved Daughter.

In front of the Clan Hall, the atmosphere seemed somewhat heavy. Gongshu Zhiyi seemed not to have noticed this heavy atmosphere and still wore a smiling face. Those bright eyes appeared to be calculating which fun places she would have Qin Yichen take her after they got out.

*Dong!* At this moment, an ancient bell sound suddenly rang throughout this land. The vast bell sound spread out, suppressing all the clamour.

When this vast bell sound fell, the faces of the Gongshu Clan members in the Clan Hall all became solemn.

“The time has come!” An Elder shouted from behind, announcing that Gongshu Zhiyi’s coming-of-age ceremony was about to begin.
