Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 1085, Seeking Peace with Ye Wuxian?!

Translator: Silavin

“It seems… They are the friends who accompanied Lu Fan to the Ye Family.” Tie Fusheng was a careful man. Even though the Tie Family Ancestor had not instructed him to, he had still conducted a thorough investigation into both Ye Wuxian and Lu Fan, and knew the relationship between Han Ke and the others with Lu Fan and Ye Wuxian.

However, based on his investigations, Lu Fan was indeed very powerful. However, these friends of his were no more than talented individuals among ordinary people. They were barely qualified to hold their own against the talented members of Ancient Noble Families.

Without Lu Fan’s constant Power Leveling, they would by now be nothing more than a group of Third Profession Players.

Tie Fusheng had even investigated the backgrounds of these people, and had found not a shred of connection to any Ancient Noble Family.

So even after learning of their existence, Tie Fusheng had not given them a second thought.

What he could never have anticipated was that these very people, who had not drawn a single glance from him, would actually cut their way into their Tie Family base and display such overwhelming strength, leaving the many of their experts completely powerless against them.

They were all merely Fourth Profession Players. Only at around Level 100, who were, admittedly, rare individuals among ordinary people. But within the Tie Family, Level 100 players were as numerous as blades of grass, not even qualifying as third-rate experts. Anyone attempting to break into the Tie Family base would be reduced to rubble in the blink of an eye.

How could these few people be so extraordinarily powerful?!

*Boom!*

As the golden giant brought another sword down, a well-known Elder of the Tie Family was unfortunately struck by the enormous sword, letting out a cry before slamming hard into the ground.

The immense golden blade had nearly cleaved his body in two. Ordinarily, once at the Sixth Profession Change, even suffering such grievous injury, so long as he could escape and be given sufficient time to recuperate, he would certainly be able to recover to his peak.

Yet, what the golden giant had dealt was hardly a mere Physical Attack!

That golden sword burned with Ye Wuxian’s roaring flames!

These flames, for all that they appeared unremarkable, were in truth forged from pure Ancient God Power, and would never go out.

After that Elder was cleaved at the waist by the giant sword, the flames ignited across the wound, and the immense agony had him crying out without cease.

All around, numerous High Level Supporters also released their Skills, attempting to restore this Elder’s condition and spare him from death.

But their Cleanse Skills landed upon him and achieved nothing. They were still unable to extinguish Ye Wuxian’s flames.

Seeing that the Tie Family members still intended to save this Elder, Jian Ying and her companions naturally had no intention of giving them the opportunity.

The several flying swords hovering in the sky came slashing down in rapid succession, carving into the Elder’s body several more times.

The immense flying swords fell, reducing the man’s bisected body to fragments swallowed up by the billowing clouds of dust that rose in their wake.

Even without looking, it was certain that this Elder was as thoroughly dead as it was possible to be.

After killing that Elder, the golden giant did not linger. It continued swinging its blade, launching further assaults against the remaining Tie Family members.

Working in concert with Ye Wuxian and Han Ke, the coordination between the five of them was seamless, leaving the Tie Family members utterly without hope, unable to find any opening against any of them.

The Tie Family Ancestor watched everything unfold, and at this point he could no longer remain still.

“This girl from the Ye Family, does she truly think that because she has learned some peculiar Skills from who knows where, she can do as she pleases with no regard for the rules!?” The Tie Family Ancestor was so furious that his beard was trembling, and he reached out with one hand, condensing a long spear that materialised in his grasp.

“I shall go and meet them in person. I want to see for myself just how formidable they are, and how they dare even challenge the Tie Family!”

Tie Fusheng felt a bitter taste in his heart, thinking to himself, [Them challenging us? Was it not the Tie Family who had provoked them first? We are merely targets for their revenge.]

When all was said and done, the one truly at fault here was the Tie Family itself…

Tie Fusheng knew that although their own Ancestor’s strength was formidable, that even Situ Hengxing of the Situ Family would step aside for him, the enemy before them was clearly far stronger. If the Tie Family Ancestor truly went and fought them to the death, the one who would fall would be him…

“Ancestor…” Tie Fusheng threw out an arm to bar the Tie Family Ancestor who was about to charge forward, saying urgently, “Ancestor, please do not act rashly! The enemy has come in great force. They are not so easy to deal with! At this juncture, our Tie Family does bear some degree of responsibility for how things have played out. If we fight them to the bitter end, the only one who will suffer is our Tie Family.”

“Ancestor, do remember that the one who has come is Ye Wuxian, along with a few friends of hers, not even that Lu Fan, who is a Dragon Tamer! If Lu Fan had come as well, it is truly difficult to imagine whether our Tie Family would still exist.”

“Also, since Ye Wuxian has come here, it means Lu Fan naturally knows our Tie Family’s location. Regardless of whether we are a match for Ye Wuxian, even if we truly were to bring Ye Wuxian down, what then? The location of our new base has already been exposed. Lu Fan could arrive at any moment. Our Tie Family no longer has any way out. Continuing to be stubborn serves absolutely no purpose.”

The Tie Family Ancestor listened to all of this, and erupted in a fury that knew no bounds. He turned, shook free of Tie Fusheng’s hand, and roared. “Then in your view, what should we do?”

Though he knew the Tie Family Ancestor was not asking for his opinion but rather berating him, Tie Fusheng still harboured the sincere hope that the Ancestor might consider his perspective.

He said earnestly. “Ancestor, why don’t we… why don’t we seek peace with Ye Wuxian? It is our Tie Family’s fault. We accept our punishment. Let us compensate the Ye Family and offer a formal apology. If they refuse to accept it, then there is nothing to be done. If they intend to destroy the Tie Family, we will not survive. But if they are willing to accept our peace offer, then all the better.”

“We may have to give up a great deal, perhaps even fall from a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family to a First Tier Ancient Noble Family, but at least the Tie Family’s foundations would be preserved. With time and effort, returning to become a Supreme Tier Ancient Noble Family is not out of the question…”

Tie Fusheng did not finish speaking. The Tie Family Ancestor raised his hand and delivered a sharp slap across his face.

*Crack!*

The Tie Family Ancestor’s complexion was ashen with fury. “Tie Fusheng, Tie Fusheng! How could such spineless words ever pass your lips!? In your view, is our Tie Family supposed to bind our own hands and feet and surrender ourselves to be dealt with as they please!?”

“The Tie Family has stood on the Western Border for over a thousand years! When have we ever been so utterly pathetic!? Entrusting the Tie Family to you was truly the greatest mistake the Tie Family has ever made!”
