Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 128, Level 20, Xiao Ye Learns a New Skill

Translator: Silavin

This sword was very ancient-looking, with many fine patterns on its blade. It formed very quickly from nothing. With a flash of dark iron-coloured light, the sword took shape and was grasped in Jian Ying’s hand.

Seeing this situation for the first time, Lu Fan was greatly surprised and asked, “Is this a new weapon generated by your Profession Characteristics?”

Jian Ying smiled and nodded, examining the sword with a glance, explaining, “Yes, every five Levels, I get a new weapon. This sword is the weapon I obtained at Level 25, it’s called Ten Thousand Flowers.”

After a pause, Jian Ying added, “This sword mainly increases Agility and Strength, like a combination of the Army Breaker and Blood Breaker Sword. It’s only a Level 1 White Grade right now, so I won’t show you its Attributes, but I can tell you about its special characteristics.”

After Jian Ying said this, Lu Fan first felt strange, wondering why Jian Ying wanted to tell him about this sword’s characteristics.

Lu Fan realised that Jian Ying probably thought their previous bet was still in effect, so she had to tell Lu Fan about any new weapons she got.

Lu Fan was indeed curious about what this sword called ‘Ten Thousand Flowers’ did, so he did not say much and waited to see what special characteristics Jian Ying’s new weapon had.

Jian Ying lightly tossed the Ten Thousand Flowers sword in her hand, and it was controlled by her Skill to hover in mid-air.

A tiny *crackling* sounds began to come from the sword’s body, followed by a surprising scene.

This Ten Thousand Flowers sword actually disassembled itself, turning into countless finger-sized small swords, all densely packed.

Under Jian Ying’s control, these small Ten Thousand Flowers swords seemed to come alive, swimming around Jian Ying like a school of small fishes.

Jian Ying made them circle around her once, then pointed to the sky. These small Ten Thousand Flowers Swords all shot up into the sky. A moment later, cold light flashed in the sky, accompanied by countless *whooshing* sounds of the air being cut. These small Ten Thousand Flowers Swords descended from the sky like countless small darts, piercing the ground where Jian Ying pointed.

The attack of countless small Ten Thousand Flowers Swords left the vine path full of gaps. After this round of attack, Jian Ying beckoned with her hand, and all the small Ten Thousand Flowers Swords flew back to her side, reforming into a single Ten Thousand Flowers Sword, which could be grasped by Jian Ying.

Jian Ying sighed and said, “That’s how it is. This sword can currently transform into 3,000 small swords. The Attack of the small swords decreases, but because there are so many, it’s more flexible when fighting against people. The move just now is the first Skill activated by this sword, called Thousand Falling Sword Feathers. It’s an Area of Effect Attack Skill, somewhat similar to the Archer’s Arrow Rain Skill. But, because the sword’s Level is too low, its destructive power is limited.”

This was true. Judging from the power of the Thousand Falling Sword Feathers, Lu Fan estimates that he could withstand it all with his base Endurance Attribute alone without getting injured.

However, this sword was only a Level 1 at the moment, so it was normal for its damage to be limited.

Lu Fan smiled and said, “Well, looking at it now, the power isn’t too great, but I think it might not be the case in the future.”

“When your Ten Thousand Flowers gets to Level 25, using Thousand Falling Sword Feathers will definitely be extraordinary.”

Being praised like this by Lu Fan made Jian Ying forced bitter smile as she said, “If someone else said this, I would definitely believe it. But you saying it…”

Jian Ying looked at the carcass of the Level 60 Mini Boss torn apart by Xiao Ye not far away, then at the small gaps left on the ground by the Ten Thousand Flowers Sword. She shook her head helplessly. [This feeling… it’s like a billionaire telling a small shop owner, ‘you’re earning quite a lot already, making 10,000 Dragon Coins a month’. If the small shop owner knew that this billionaire earned several billions each month, would he still be happy? Ahhh… how scary it is to compare myself with others…]

Jian Ying estimated that even if Ten Thousand Flowers Sword got to Level 25, even if all of five swords got to Level 25, and she exhausted all her Stamina to release an ultimate Skill combining all five swords, the destructive power would still not be able to compare to a single Dragon Breath from Xiao Ye.

Lu Fan did not notice Jian Ying’s bitter smile and continued walking forward, saying, “What? You don’t believe what I said? Come on, would I lie to you? Just wait and see. When this sword’s Level increases later, there will definitely be few people in Dragon Capital University who can match you.”

“Now that we’re clearing this Secret Realm, with Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui being enough. You can just summon your Ten Thousand Flowers Sword and let it gain Experience Points on the side. I believe by the time we finish this Secret Realm, it should reach Level 10. When we get back, you can use this sword to spar with others in the arena. You’ll definitely dominate over them.”

“Alright, let’s catch up quickly. I feel like that wild child, Xiao Ye, has already left us far behind. If we get any further, we won’t be able to get Experience Points.” Saying this, Lu Fan quickened his pace forward.

Jian Ying looked at Lu Fan’s back, smiled slightly, and quickly followed.

With Xiao Cui’s support, Xiao Ye indeed swept through this Secret Realm, with no Monster able to stop her.

However, Xiao Ye did not get carried away and still considered Lu Fan and Jian Ying’s position.

If she and Xiao Cui got too far, the two Dragons would circle in the air for a while, waiting for Lu Fan and Jian Ying to catch up so those two could gain Experience Points before continuing forward.

Along the way, all Lu Fan and Jian Ying saw were Xiao Ye’s Dragon Tail and countless more carcasses. However, Experience Points were pouring in crazily all the time. Lu Fan felt that he was about to reach Level 26.

After walking up the vine path for about two more hours, Lu Fan and Jian Ying finally caught up with Xiao Ye.

At this time, Xiao Ye and Xiao Cui had encountered the second Main Stage Boss, Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon. This was an Undead Monster birthed from a Steel Bone Flying Dragon, with a body that had not decayed. Not only was it a Level 60 Nightmare Boss, but its Skills also included the Passive Skill Steel Bone Flying Dragon Skin, which had the Effect of 50% Damage Reduction.

Its skin’s defence was comparable to that of a true Giant Dragon. It seemed that Steel Bone Flying Dragons must be very powerful amongst the Flying Dragons.

With its Passive Skill, this Level 60 Nightmare Boss was like an iron plate. Otherwise, it would have been steamrolled by Xiao Ye long ago.

Fortunately, apart from being extremely resilient and having a Damage Reduction Passive, this Boss did not have an Area of Effect Attack Skill like the previous Boss’s Bone Blade Assault.

So as long as Xiao Ye could hold back the Monster, Lu Fan and Jian Ying were safe.

If an ordinary team were to tackle this Boss, they would probably have to engage in a prolonged battle, possibly even spending two days and two nights here.

But for Lu Fan, no matter what Boss it was, they were all like paper to him. The only difference was whether it was tissue paper or cardboard.

When Lu Fan and Jian Ying arrived, Xiao Ye was already entangled with the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon. Every time Xiao Ye attacked with her claws, she would make the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon repeatedly retreat, with cracks appearing on its body.

Not only Xiao Ye, but Xiao Cui’s 60 (Dragon Qi Attack) also fell on this Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon one after another, hitting it so hard it could not even lift its head.

However, being able to withstand Xiao Ye’s consecutive attacks of above 50,000 Strength Attribute, and enduring the bombardment of 60 (Dragon Qi Attack), the resilience of this Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon was evident.

Seeing that Xiao Ye was unable to immediately kill this Boss, Jian Ying originally wanted to help, but was stopped by Lu Fan.

Because Lu Fan could sense that Xiao Ye was intentionally letting the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon live, wanting it to ‘play’ with her for a while longer.

Otherwise, with two consecutive Earth Splitter, the battle would have been over by now. How could it have dragged on until Lu Fan and Jian Ying caught up from behind?

Lu Fan guessed that Xiao Ye was quite frustrated. She really enjoyed the Attribute Boost from Xiao Cui’s Soul Light Form, making her feel her Combat Power was off the charts. However, she still wanted to fight with a competent enemy, to find a toy that could withstand her ‘playing’ for a while.

Unfortunately, with her Strength Attribute being more than 50,000, what Monster could withstand her ‘playing’? Probably only a Level 80 Boss or so could let Xiao Ye truly experience the joy of battle.

Although this Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon was stronger than the average Monster, it was its durability that made it a qualified ‘toy’. Therefore, although Xiao Ye was entangled with it, she delayed using her killing moves.

The Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon was only a Level 60 Nightmare Boss. In the end, it really could not withstand two Dragon Kings ‘playing’ with it like this.

In no time, the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon finally could not hold on any longer. Its body disintegrated, turning into a pile of dismembered limbs.

As the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon Boss died, a golden light flashed on Lu Fan’s body, and he reached Level 26.

At the same time, Xiao Ye also broke through her bottleneck, reaching Level 20.

The one that Levelled up the most was Jian Ying’s Ten Thousand Flowers Sword. The previous Monsters had already Levelled the Ten Thousand Flowers Sword to Level 4. The Experience Points provided by this Boss directly made it Level Up two more times, reaching Level 6, officially becoming a Black Iron Grade, with its Attributes surging.

At this moment, Xiao Ye did not feel any excitement about Levelling Up. She looked at the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon she had just slapped to death, and even stretched out her Dragon Claw to grab the front claw of the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon, seeming to want to wake it up to ‘play’ with her for a while longer.

Unfortunately, when she exerted force, there was a sound of steel breaking, and a front claw of the Undead Steel Bone Flying Dragon was torn off, leaving Lu Fan speechless.

Xiao Ye was obviously stunned, having to accept the fact that her newly recognised ‘good friend’ was dead. She became downcast.

Seeing this, Lu Fan did not know if he should laugh or cry. He could only think to himself, [My child, since you want to play, I’ll try to find some Higher Level Bosses for you to ‘play’ with in the future. But today, we can only see if the Final Boss of the Flying Dragon Cemetery can let you play for a while longer.]

After sighing, Lu Fan opened Xiao Ye’s Attribute Panel to see if there were any changes in Xiao Ye’s Attributes after reaching Level 25.

And, there really was a pleasant surprise!

[Xiao Ye, my beautiful child, making me speechless as always. You actually learned another Skill!?]
