Chapter 1567: Chapter 540: Super Evolution Potion

Quickly, Everton arrived in a massive, sealed chamber in the innermost part of the hall.

He finally understood why his chief Potion Master had a hesitant expression.

What appeared before him was a giant, deformed, and sinister beast, which, from any angle, barely resembled the graceful and beautiful shape of a dragon anymore.

At this moment, the beast before him had five heads, but only one was normal; the remaining four were either deformed or shriveled like mere ornaments around the primary head.

Five differently shaped heads.

But completely different from the fully developed heads of a Multi-Headed Dragon.

The Dragon Scale on its body resembled a palette, with some areas red, some areas green, scattered chaotically over its body, devoid of beauty.

The only remarkable thing was that, though it should have the energy fluctuations of a young dragon, it was now comparable to an adult Giant Dragon.

No, more powerful than an adult Five-Colored Giant Dragon.

Moreover, Everton keenly noticed that, as the beast voraciously swallowed some unknown ferocious meat, its energy fluctuations were quickly rising.

This prompted Everton to think deeply, and after a while, he turned his head and asked, ”Lunfrell, why did it become like this?”

”Uhh... I deduce it’s because the side effects of the newly developed Super Evolution Potion are too strong, so...”

”Even a giant dragon can’t withstand it? Then what’s the purpose of such a potion? Do you think I can withstand it?” Everton narrowed his eyes, looking unfriendly at his Chief Potion Master, Lunfrell.

”This... Your Highness, the development of new potions is a process of continuous experimentation; at least we are very close to success, correct?”

”Look, isn’t it beautiful?” Lunfrell blushed and argued excitedly.

Beautiful?

Everton glanced at the deformed beast not far in front of him and then at the equally deformed and ugly Lunfrell beside him, feeling speechless inside.

However, despite Lunfrell’s hunchback, crooked neck, tilted eyes, and severe bad breath, it’s undeniable that he’s a top-level Potion Master—even the entire Empire couldn’t find another with such a Talent in Alchemy.

That’s why he utilizes Lunfrell.

”Alright, what’s your purpose for showing me this?” Everton pointed at the deformed beast before him.

”Your Highness, although it’s ugly, I can assure you, given its current rapid growth state, as long as it has enough food, it can reach the late Epic level of an old dragon within a week.”

”Of course, the cost is high; its lifespan, I estimate, only tens of years and maybe just a dozen.”

”I think you could try to enslave it?” Lunfrell suggested.

”Enslave it? Are you an idiot?”

”What occasion do you think I’d use it for?” Everton asked, looking at him like he was a fool.

”But... You see, it’s so beautiful, and its power is so strong; it would be a pity to destroy it.” Lunfrell said with regret.

”Since you wish to keep it, then keep it for now, just as observing the potion’s effects, merely wasting some food. But your research needs to speed up; I can’t wait too long!” After some thought, Everton agreed, thinking it necessary to encourage his subordinate’s enthusiasm.

”Rest assured, Your Highness, I’ll soon present the improved version of the Super Evolution Potion.” Lunfrell, deeply moved, patted his shriveled chest heavily.

”Currently, I already have some leads, and I plan to increase the proportion of Elf Blood Essence in the upcoming potion production.”

”Great, I look forward to your good news.” Everton nodded.

...

Two consecutive days have passed.

On Viscount Hamadi’s side, the investigation work was proceeding fervently. Upon returning, he immediately obtained the strong support of his superior, Marquis Roys, almost mobilizing all Federation Spies within the Imperial City Tamriel.

But, unfortunately, no definitive news has come through yet.

There’s only one day left out of the three days he promised before, which made Viscount Hamadi’s mood quite unpleasant.

After all, he had promised Lord Rein on-site; if he can’t accomplish this, how would Lord Rein perceive him? How would he view the Federation’s credibility?

”No news yet?” Hamadi looked unhappily at a Spy beside him.

”My lord, there’s no news yet.”

”Neither that Prince Everton nor his steward Buchanan has hardly left the residence these days. Prince Everton’s only outing was two days ago, attending a meeting at the Imperial Palace.”

”As you mentioned before, if the secret base is at a certain location, we can only keep an eye on their movements to have a chance of discovering it.” The Spy reported.

”Always in the residence, just went to the Imperial Palace once?” Hearing this news, Hamadi frowned and began to ponder.

”The Imperial Palace? Unlikely, making potions requires raw materials, which would be too cumbersome to transport.”

”The residence?”

”Right, haven’t you monitored important royal family members of the Empire before? Do you still have those surveillance reports?” Hamadi asked.

”Yes.”

”Show me the surveillance reports on this Second Prince.”

”As you wish, my lord.”

Quickly, Hamadi received a large pile of documents stacked half a meter high.
