Chapter 1525: Chapter 525: Shadow Shifting

Rein Mansion’s front yard.

Just as Rein was bidding farewell to everyone, planning to head to the Sword Holder Headquarters to board the airship, suddenly, a luxurious carriage stopped at the mansion’s entrance.

Buchanan, the butler of Second Prince Everton, accompanied by the tall and shackled Quinna, stepped down from the carriage.

”It’s her, Rein.”

Cleya recognized Quinna at first glance, as she had killed the swift Antelope Little Black and fought her last night; it was indeed her.

”Hmm.” Rein nodded.

Witnessing this scene, Rein was slightly surprised, as he hadn’t expected Menia’s efficiency to be so high, with the Second Prince’s butler arriving personally within half an hour, bringing the shadow dragon bloodline Quinna along.

Despite wearing shackles, Quinna’s face remained defiant.

Except when looking at Rein, against others, she seemed indifferent. As she passed Cleya, she even hummed slightly, seeming dissatisfied or provocative.

At this moment, Buchanan looked around, smiled, stepped forward slightly, and said, ”Lord Rein, long time no see.”

”Lord Luther and Lord Halowin, good morning to both of you, and to the ladies, good morning.”

”Lord Rein, the Second Prince specifically entrusted me to apologize to you. We were indeed unaware of Quinna’s previous self-directed actions, and we sincerely apologize for the trouble caused to you and your family.”

”This is an estate located in the suburbs of the Imperial City, please accept it. As for Quinna, she’s left to you to deal with.” Buchanan was quite poised as he spoke and presented a deed.

Rein didn’t even glance at the deed, he simply watched Buchanan and said, ”Please convey to Everton, out of respect for Prince Menia, let’s consider this matter settled.”

”Leave the person, you can go.”

Hearing Rein address his lord so disrespectfully by name and completely disregard his conciliatory gesture, Buchanan’s face instantly reddened.

As the butler of the Second Prince and an Imperial Earl, he had never been so casually ignored.

Not to mention, he felt that the apology just made had already given Rein ample face.

However, Buchanan, deep in thought, knew that the purpose of this visit was not to deepen the conflict but to apologize on behalf of his lord, so he took a deep breath and said:

”Alright, Lord Rein, I will relay your words to His Highness.”

With that, he turned and glanced at Quinna before quickly leaving.

Following Buchanan’s departure, only Quinna was left in the front yard. Just when everyone thought Rein would detain this female assassin first, Rein casually said:

”You’ve injected the Bloodline Burst Potion, right?”

”Don’t deny it. I’ve experienced this potion more than once. Although the fluctuations on you are subtle, they cannot escape my perception.”

Rein had already felt the potion’s fluctuations during his encounter with Reagan and the others in the Dragon Valley Secret Realm.

”You...”

Having her greatest reliance exposed by Rein in a single sentence, Quinna’s eyes were filled with doubt and uncertainty as she looked at Rein, unsure of what reaction was appropriate.

Should she retreat immediately?

Or should she deny it and continue pretending?

However, Rein didn’t give her further time to think.

Rein continued speaking:

”Since you weren’t sincere in your remorse, I won’t force you. Although you killed my mount, Little Black, I’ll give you one last chance.”

”As long as you can avoid one of my attacks, I’ll let you go.”

”Snap!”

Rein somehow managed, with a flash of dark silver light, to break Quinna’s shackles instantly.

”One move?”

Quinna couldn’t help but rub her freed wrists and smiled slightly, saying:

”Lord Rein, that’s what you said. I know you have Epic-level combat strength, but excessive confidence isn’t a good thing.”

”Enough talk, let’s begin! I’m in a hurry.”

Rein waved his hand indifferently.

”You...”

Quinna’s eyes narrowed, anger surged within her. While detained at the Sword Holder Headquarters, she had reflected carefully on how she was discovered by Rein.

In her view, she had underestimated the young Lord Rein, and her strength was indeed somewhat lacking.

But now it was different.

After taking the Dragon Vein Evolution Potion a few days ago, her strength had reached the Epic-level.

Just now, she also took the Bloodline Burst Potion.

Simply put, her strength further improved, and even compared to Epic-level powerhouses, she was on par. Her bloodline talent ability ’Shadow Shifting’ had reached a new level.

”As long as I want to leave, Rein absolutely can’t hold me!”

This time, she had absolute confidence that Rein, even as a Fourth Level Dawn Wizard, wouldn’t be able to find her trace.

”Whoosh!”

Quinna vanished instantly from her spot.

This scene naturally left everyone around shocked. Luther and Halowin exchanged glances and saw the astonishment in each other’s eyes.

Because at this moment, neither of them could perceive how Quinna disappeared, let alone detect where she went.

Cleya, on the other hand, darted protectively in front of Bo He, seeming to shield, yet also perhaps preventing Bo He from witnessing a potential bloody scene.

But in the next second, Quinna’s figure gradually appeared in the original spot, as though a person had suddenly materialized.
