Chapter 1276: Chapter 431: Void Dragon

Just now, in the Evergreen Forest, Rein effortlessly gathered the ten portions of Soul Energy needed to release the ’Soul Shatter Strike’.

At this moment, Rein was walking up the charred mountain path, but he had only traveled about a third of the way when he suddenly stopped, and the two golems stopped with him.

Because a tall yet somewhat bloated figure was rapidly descending from the mountain.

Although the figure was bloated, its steps were agile. Soon, it stopped several dozen meters in front of Rein.

”A rare Puppet Master, huh? If you were to fall here, the Dragan Empire would probably feel quite heartbroken.” Collins sized up Rein with a few glances and said.

The energy particles of the Metal Series were fluctuating around this person, and despite his young appearance, he had the aura of a late-stage Crystallization Wizard, likely a key figure nurtured by a Great Noble of the Empire.

Killing such a person would give a sense of achievement.

Thinking of this, Collins couldn’t help but laugh.

But Rein was also examining the suddenly appeared Collins.

”I thought I would have to reach the mountaintop and search carefully to possibly encounter you.”

”It seems these cult members are far more arrogant than I imagined, considering their Transcendent combat prowess.”

”That’s also a good thing, it saves me the trouble of finding you.” Thinking of this, Rein also laughed.

Moreover, the aura of this opponent had some commonality with that of ’Multi-Armed’ Pearce, both carrying a hint of madness beneath their vicious exteriors.

In other words, the opponent was likely also from the Limb-Replacement Cult.

At this moment, Collins pulled out the Golden Double-Edged Battle Axe from his back and held it in his hands. Next, he dragged the axe along the ground with a sizzling sound, heading straight for Rein.

At first, his speed wasn’t fast, but after two steps, he suddenly accelerated, and at the same time, a fierce aura began to rush toward Rein.

The next second, a golden arc flashed by!

”Clang!!”

Sparks flew!

Collins’s giant battle axe came crashing down on Rein, only to be firmly blocked by the Kite Shield that instantly morphed from Rein’s left hand.

Rein’s counterattack was also launched immediately. His right hand morphed into a Knight’s Longsword in an instant, aimed straight at Collins’s bloated abdomen with a stab!

”Sizzle!”

A sticky resistance was transmitted from the hilt of the sword.

Collins, however, grinned fiercely, delivering another heavy chop with his battle axe toward Rein.

”Clang!!!”

This time, his strength was greater, and the Hardened Fine Gold Kite Shield bore a deep axe mark a few centimeters deep, but it quickly returned to its original state under the influence of the Metal Morphing Spell.

After a few quick exchanges, Rein led Collins to adjust his position to a somewhat flat clearing on the mountainside, where the Hellfire Demon Statue, carrying the black-robed girl, naturally arrived as well.

By now, Collins also realized something was not quite right.

First off, the other’s eyes were too calm, with no trace of fear when looking at him, not even the slightest tension.

Secondly, wasn’t the opponent a Puppet Master? Why hadn’t he manipulated the golems to attack him, which was illogical?

Logic dictates that a Puppet Master should heavily rely on their puppets and would never choose to face him head-on.

Upon seeing the flickering eyes of Collins, Rein knew the opponent was suspicious.

However, that did not matter.

He did it on purpose; all along, Rein’s focus was not on Collins but on those Void Beasts behind him.

He noticed that during his exchanges with Collins, the activity level of those Void Beasts had clearly increased.

A number of Void Beasts were now gathered together.

Now, seeing that the golems had finally stopped, over a dozen Void Beasts slowly moved closer, quickly stacking together, and soon began to melt like candles, forming a particularly gigantic Void Beast.

Rein squinted his eyes, knowing it was time for them to act.

At this moment, a rift three to four meters in diameter suddenly appeared where the Void Beasts were located, and a massive claw shot out like lightning, reaching for the black-robed girl carried by the Hellfire Demon Statue.

”Finally, I’ve been waiting for you!”

Rein smiled at the corner of his mouth, his entire presence changing dramatically. His muscles swelled, and in a flash, he appeared behind the statue, clasping onto the semi-transparent giant claw tightly!

”This time, don’t think about leaving!”

...

A few minutes earlier.

Imperial City Tamriel, second floor of the Star Mage’s Platform.

Since Rein dealt with the Nether Sea Goddess Hela, the tense atmosphere here had significantly lessened, and most faces were now filled with smiles.

They were very sure that the situation in the Secret Realm should not fluctuate much further.

Because even if the remaining cult’s legendary figures were strong, they could not possibly surpass the strength of that Nether Sea Goddess.

And even she was killed by Lord Rein, so what other legendary cult figure could create chaos in the Secret Realm?

Many were discussing the level of Rein’s power, questioning if he had reached the Epic level.

Since the battle between Rein and the Nether Sea Goddess had concluded, the command hall had resumed full surveillance of key points or personnel in the Secret Realm, essentially switching and rapidly assessing the situation every few minutes.

Presently, the image on the elliptical stone platform showed the rapidly moving Lambert.

Lambert was the fastest and was about to reach the vicinity of the Whispering Pond, having effortlessly slain several Void Beasts with a single strike each just moments ago.
