Chapter 1260: Chapter 425: Nether Sea Goddess_3

But before the words fell, his tall figure also suddenly arrived, almost faster than sound.

Oh? Not bad strength.

This scene was naturally caught in the eyes of Nick and Agrippa, and the thought emerged in both of their minds.

“Lord Rein, you are late. You should know that being late during mission execution is a taboo.” Nick’s face was stern as he said.

“Oh? May I ask who you are?” Rein raised an eyebrow, looked at the other party, and said.

“Nick, part of the Inner Guard.”

“So, what does Captain Nick mean?”

“I think as someone who was late, you should show some apology. In the subsequent battles, Lord Rein, you should take on more responsibility, such as attracting that one’s attention during the fight.”

Upon hearing this, Rein immediately understood why the other party was making an issue of his tardiness.

The real purpose was this.

In fact, when he received this task request from Marshal Alfred, Rein instinctively felt that due to the last incident, once Nether Sea Goddess Hela saw him, she would certainly target him as the main attack.

That is to say, without any tactical arrangement, or any discussion, he would naturally attract fire, and he also had this mindset prepared in his heart.

But the problem is, Captain Nick’s words made him feel uncomfortable.

He could take on the task of attracting fire, but the premise is he himself proposing it proactively.

“I disagree.” Rein shook his head and said.

“Did the command hall not tell you that you came here to cooperate with us? You are disobeying orders!” Nick’s face became stern, and a wave of spiritual power pressed toward Rein.

“Sorry, the command hall’s task for me is not cooperation, but support.”

“Is there any difference?” Agrippa couldn’t help but ask.

“Of course, there’s a difference. Cooperation has a primary and secondary, but support does not.” Rein said.

“Well… Lord Rein, now is not the time for conflicts. We three should cooperate fully to confront the Nether Sea Goddess’s avatar.” Agrippa acted as a mediator, saying.

“Once the battle begins, we need a tactic, like who will attract the other’s attention, who is the main attack, who will restrict. Lord Rein, what do you think?”

“Among us three, my crystalization kill move is quite powerful, and I believe it should be able to cause some damage to that one. As for Captain Nick, he is good at control and can create a lot of opportunities for our attack.”

“And Lord Rein, your impressive track record deeply impresses me. Based on your combat record, you’ve almost never suffered any serious injury in battles, showing you’re very good at defense.”

“That’s why Captain Nick has proposed hoping you can attract the other’s attention.”

When he said this, his face was smiling, seemingly polite and courteous.

“Of course, if Lord Rein has a better suggestion, you can also bring it up for us to discuss together.” Finally, Agrippa said.

After thinking for a moment, Rein nodded and said:

“Alright! If that’s the case, Lord Agrippa, then I will attract the other’s attention.”

“However, I cannot guarantee that the other’s attention will always be on me.”

As soon as Rein’s words fell, a hint of joy flashed in both of their eyes.

“Of course, Lord Rein, just do your best.” Agrippa nodded quickly, smiling and said.

But he was thinking to himself, ‘Indeed, these are young people; a few good words get them to take on this job proactively.’

And beside him, Nick, although his face remained stern, inside he was grinning.

He also felt Rein was still too young.

With he and Agrippa playing good cop and bad cop, in just a few words, Rein took on the most dangerous job.

Yet the two didn’t realize that from the moment Nick suggested Rein attract fire, Rein had sensed their tacit manipulation.

Because if they truly saw him as part of the team, they would have said at least one thing like ‘If you’re not up for it, here’s how I’ll help’ or ‘If you really can’t hold out, back off a bit and ensure your safety first.’

But none of these words were said.

This is not a sincerely cooperative team.

As for why Rein agreed?

One reason is that ambushing Nether Sea Goddess Hela is very important, and the Imperial Star Mage Platform would surely focus on it.

If that’s the case, then standing on the moral high ground becomes important.

His agreement represents his stance.

By then, if any unexpected situation arises, he has nothing to be reproached for.

Secondly, attracting fire is actually a task with a wide range of freedom.

After all, attracting ninety percent of the attack is attracting fire, but isn’t eighty percent or seventy percent also attracting fire?

Since it’s a three-person cooperative battle, as long as he attracts more than forty percent of the fire, he’s basically hitting the mark.

More than half, and no one can blame him.

At this moment, a yellow signal flare appeared in the distant sky.

Seeing this scene, Nick turned and slightly nodded to the two, saying, “Captain Agrippa, Lord Rein, let’s go! That one has arrived.”

The three figures immediately flashed, quickly heading toward the direction of the signal flare.

Because the opponent is divine, even if it is an avatar, it cannot be pursued, only the approximate location can be judged.

Therefore, the command hall arranged other executors nearby to search, and once they found traces of Nether Sea Goddess Hela, they would immediately launch a signal flare to indicate the location.
