Chapter 1268: Chapter 428: Sword and Hammer_2

In the past, it was because Lord Rein was always on missions, the two sisters naturally followed, which gave him the illusion that the Areda sisters were also on a mission.

But in fact, the two of them were just following Rein and were not really on an Imperial mission.

Now, as Lord Rein was caught in the midst of a fierce battle, the Areda sisters’ first reaction was to support him, and he had no right to stop them, nor any right to make them first follow the command of the command hall—to kill the Void Destroyer.

”Sister, let’s go!”

Not waiting for Baldwin to say anything further, the elder sister Areda immediately leapt onto the head of the Hellfire-modified demon statue and called out to her sister Ailida beside her.

”Okay, sister!”

Ailida gave her elder sister a sweet smile, then collected her expression, snorted at Baldwin, and jumped onto another Hellfire-modified demon statue.

The next second, the sisters, along with the two statues, rushed toward the center of the battlefield like the wind!

”But...can the battle between Lord Rein and that figure allow you two to intervene?” Baldwin suddenly thought of a question and shouted with a change of expression.

But by this time, the two girls had already charged dozens of meters ahead.

However, Baldwin also understood that even if the Areda sisters heard, they would not heed his words and return.

Beside him, Lambert, carrying a greatsword on his back, crossed his arms and watched the conversation between Baldwin and the two girls with interest.

Originally, when he first saw the two girls, he had this doubt; with his experience and keen perception, he always felt that these two did not seem like people from a special Imperial department.

Because in both speech and demeanor, the girls did not match the usual calm, modest, and cautious wording within the Imperial system...

And after experiencing Dark Healing, he vaguely guessed about their origins.

Now, he completely understood.

It turns out that the Areda sisters were top legendary strongmen of the Secret Snake Sect, defeated by Rein after entering the Secret Realm, and somehow, they became Rein’s followers!

Tsk tsk, Lord Rein is really something at such a young age!

This kind of thing, he was hearing for the first time in so many years.

Moreover, didn’t the Evil God have any contingency on the two girls for control?

How was it resolved?

However, this was naturally not the time to think about this.

Lambert noticed Baldwin’s gaze turned toward him.

”Lord Baldwin, don’t look at me,” Lambert turned his head slightly with a smile and immediately shook his head towards Baldwin, saying.

”I joined this Imperial mission because I lost a contest to Lord Rein. Now that Lord Rein is in a tough fight, by both emotion and reason, I should first assist him rather than resolve the Void Destroyer.”

”You handle this Void Destroyer, no problem, right?”

Saying this, before the words finished, Lambert’s figure suddenly disappeared from the spot, and the ground instantly cracked like a spider web!

The next second, Lambert appeared dozens of meters away.

When facing different enemies, the mental state is different.

Lambert, although unwilling, easily accepted being defeated by a fellow Imperial genius, Rein.

He had no past enmity with Rein; it was simply because he had to honor an agreement with the Drum Family that he chose to attack Rein.

From this perspective, his stance wasn’t so righteous.

It wasn’t his personal wish either.

So naturally, his conviction wasn’t that firm.

Therefore, regarding the choice Rein gave him, Lambert chose life, not out of fear of death.

But in front of him was an Evil God’s incarnation, an enemy of the Empire.

He was the chief disciple of the Imperial Guardian, Tide Sword Saint.

Rein, who spared him, was battling fiercely.

In such a case, Lambert knew that if he didn’t want to disgrace himself or his teacher, he had to do something!

In an instant, as Lambert rapidly advanced, he suddenly experienced a moment of clarity, and the greatsword ’Wave Breaker’ on his back vibrated, as if responding in some way.

This sudden change filled Lambert’s heart with joy!

He looked again at the eyes of the Nether Sea Goddess, filled with battle intent, excitement, and anticipation.

Divine Incarnation?

It was his first time!

”Lord Lambert, close combat is too dangerous; remember to dodge!” Seeing Lambert also rushing to the center of the battlefield, Baldwin was first stunned, then loudly reminded.

The next second, Baldwin could only smile wryly, shake his head, and immediately cast a ’Stone Skin Technique’ on himself, also rushing forward.

As an Earth Wizard, his self-preservation ability was still decent.

Baldwin planned to fight a little closer, at least to provide some support to Rein and the other three while eliminating the Void Destroyer.

And seeing all this, the people on the second floor of the Imperial Star Mage Platform were momentarily silent!

Human nature is very complex.

Some people hold high positions but act despicably at critical moments, like Nick.

But there are also those who seem driven by others, appearing cowardly and fearful, but in reality follow their hearts unwaveringly, like Lambert.

...

In the Dragon Valley Secret Realm.

The fierce fight between Rein and Hela continued.

At this moment, Rein had already added points to restore his stamina for the third time.

If not, he would not have been able to support such massive stamina expenditure under the third form.

Although Rein maintained an excellent state of physical strength almost throughout, he could not gain any advantage against the enlarged Nether Sea Goddess Hela!
