Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 430: Chapter 318: The Master of Billions of Flesh Who Lost Big Time

That cry of ”little thief” proved that He had truly confirmed Isaac’s identity. Even though this was a Tier Four trading ritual, He wasn’t the least bit surprised. After all, someone who could pull something like this was bound to advance quickly.

But the Master of Billions of Flesh was in no mood to dwell on such things. At this very moment, even though He had confirmed Isaac’s identity, His unease had reached its peak!

’This isn’t like that Mad Witch at all. In the past, that guy would start snatching things the moment he arrived. But now, he didn’t start robbing me right away; he waited a while before making his move. So, what was he doing during that time?’

The moment this occurred to Him, the Master of Billions of Flesh felt a profound sense of dread, no intuitive warning necessary.

Therefore, even though past experience told Him that the Mad Witch’s actions were unstoppable and that Isaac would always manage to take a bite out of Him, the deep-seated unease still drove Him to launch a full-powered counterattack.

However, as it turned out, both the intuition and experience of the Master of Billions of Flesh were correct...

Despite His desperate resistance, Isaac managed to pull back just in time, with the margin for error just over five hundred. He retreated from the Mysterious Void, taking with him the Dimension Seed, the true name of the Master of Billions of Flesh, and a massive amount of Power of Dimension Origin. He had made out like a bandit!

”Little thief!!!!!”

「Endless Tower · Tier Six Space · Endless Star Sea」

The Master of Billions of Flesh, who was in the middle of devouring a star, suddenly threw back His head and roared. At the same time, His aura weakened to a visible degree. Splitting off the Tier Four Dimension Seed had already wounded Him gravely, and now, having a huge amount of His Power of Origin stolen by Isaac left the Master of Billions of Flesh weaker than ever before!

Under normal circumstances, a trade with a Mad Witch wouldn’t be this damaging.

This was because most Mad Witches only wanted Knowledge—something replicable. Even the few who demanded power would, at worst, only leave Him temporarily weakened. After absorbing the power from the ritual’s feedback, the Outer Gods would usually end up slightly stronger.

The Dimension Seed Isaac wanted was precious, but the scale of his ritual also far exceeded that of other Mad Witches. If the trade had been completed normally, He would have profited immensely!

But...

’That bastard Isaac isn’t normal!’

’He was planning to rob me from the very beginning!’

’And to top it off, he specifically steals Power of Origin!’

’Damn it, isn’t that bastard afraid of Erosion? Shouldn’t the power of us Outer Gods be repulsive to everyone? Why does this guy specialize in stealing this very thing?’

In short, due to Isaac’s unconventional methods, the Master of Billions of Flesh always ended up with a loss every time they ”traded.” This was because Isaac almost exclusively took Power of Dimension Origin from Him!

The losses were so great that even though the scale of the ritual was larger than those of other Mad Witches, He always came out with a deficit.

And now, the timing was fatal. He was in the middle of a fight!

’Isn’t this going to be the death of me?’

With this thought, the Master of Billions of Flesh prepared to quickly consolidate His power and assume a defensive stance.

But while His reaction was fast, the Emperor’s was faster!

In the pitch-black sea of stars, the Emperor had been facing off against an Evil God. The sudden weakening of the Master of Billions of Flesh made all the Deities and Demigods on the battlefield turn their heads in surprise.

But only the Emperor understood the meaning behind the Master of Billions of Flesh’s furious roar. ’Ten to one, that kid Isaac just ”traded” with the Master of Billions of Flesh again,’ he thought. ’And it looks like his gains were anything but small!’

At this thought, the Emperor had no time to marvel at Isaac’s madness. A brilliant golden divine light erupted from his body, and a colossal golden Divine Shadow flashed into existence behind him. After forcing back the Evil God he was confronting, he transformed into a golden meteor and shot toward the star-devouring Master of Billions of Flesh!

”Godslaying!!!”

With this strike, the Emperor held nothing back. He even overdrafted his own Power of Origin to enhance this attack to its absolute limit!

It was a completely suicidal tactic!

After all, his own death was already fated; destiny had decreed it.

Since that outcome could not be changed, he naturally had to make the most of the life he had left. He didn’t expect this one strike to utterly destroy the Master of Billions of Flesh. As long as it could gravely wound Him and force Him into slumber, it would buy the Empire a great many opportunities.

It would also relieve the pressure on their side within the Endless Star Sea. As long as their side achieved ultimate victory, then, according to a prior agreement, the Empire’s lifespan would be extended by another five hundred years—regardless of whether he survived or merely delayed his fated death.

Five hundred years. That was enough time for the Terra Royal Family to rise from the ashes!

Of course, it might also completely fall apart, but that would have nothing to do with the Emperor. He had done all he could; the rest was up to his descendants.

Thus, the Emperor’s Godslaying strike was unprecedentedly powerful. The other gods, still dazed by the sudden weakening of the Master of Billions of Flesh, were forced back by his biting Sword Qi, daring not to approach even after they came to their senses.

After all, not all Deities were Demon Gods possessing such powerful Undying properties.

Even in His weakened state, taking this blow without any defense would, at worst, only cause the Master of Billions of Flesh to fall into a slumber from power depletion. But if it were the other gods, they might actually die...

Not all at Tier Six were equal, especially since the Emperor had also earned the title of Demigod.

Although the title of Demigod referred to possessing power on par with a Deity, ”on par” in this case usually meant being capable of a Godslayer feat in a one-on-one fight...

Most Deities were incapable of killing a peer of the same tier, to say nothing of the Emperor, who had slain more than one Deity. Faced with his life-sacrificing strike, how many would dare to meet its edge head-on?

”Emperor!!!”

Facing the Emperor’s attack, the Master of Billions of Flesh fell into an unprecedented rage. ’This guy... He really is in league with that little thief!!’

But, faced with the Emperor’s life-sacrificing strike...

No matter how furious He was, there was nothing He could do. He might not have been able to withstand this blow even at His peak, let alone in His current, weakened state.

And so, the Emperor’s strike hit the Master of Billions of Flesh, and His entire body exploded instantly!

He was blown to bits!

His consciousness left the Endless Tower, returned to the Flesh Dimension, and plunged directly into a deep slumber!

The Master of Billions of Flesh...

...had been taken out of the fight!

In the Endless Star Sea, the gods stared, stunned for a moment, at the brilliant light from the Master of Billions of Flesh’s explosion. Then, the side of the Evil Gods began an orderly retreat. In a battle of this level, the loss of a single normal Deity had a massive impact on the situation, let alone a powerhouse like the Master of Billions of Flesh.

Besides, their opponent was an Emperor who had started burning his own life force to fight. If they didn’t run now, were they just supposed to wait to die?

...

Meanwhile, back in the Wilderness Dungeon, Isaac had no idea that his ritual had led to the Master of Billions of Flesh getting blown up. He was currently sorting through his spoils with great satisfaction.
