Wizard: Scamming a Demon God

Chapter 411: Chapter 299: Isaac: Maxu Kant? You Otherworld Gods... Are Something Else (Part 2)

Furthermore, judging by the Authority she wielded, her status might very well surpass his!

She would become number two!

’It’s unlikely she’ll surpass Mephisto, though. For one, Mephisto is incredibly powerful. Judging by her Divine Power and Authority, this Mother Goddess isn’t a combat type. And in this chaotic world, strength is definitely what matters most!’

This was the source of the Fighting God’s predicament. While strength was important, being number one was clearly what truly mattered. As number two, he was, relatively speaking, not that important, which was why he had such a strong sense of crisis.

’Secondly, even if this Mother Goddess’s combat strength did surpass Mephisto’s, it wouldn’t affect Mephisto much. The Divine Master, Isaac, is still here, after all. And no matter what, Mephisto was the very first Deity the Divine Master personally created, giving him a special status.’

’You can even tell from how Isaac addresses us. The Divine Master always calls Mephisto by his name, but he always just calls me ”Fighting God”...’

’The Divine Master has probably long forgotten my real name...’

But this was just the Fighting God measuring a gentleman’s heart with his own petty yardstick. Isaac wasn’t that kind of person.

He had never paid any attention to the Fighting God’s name to begin with!

How could he forget a name he’d never bothered to learn?

Regardless, whatever Mephisto and the Fighting God were thinking wouldn’t affect Isaac. He would simply continue to execute his plan, step by step.

Soon, bathed in a five-colored radiance, a middle-aged woman from the Great Leiyin Temple was chosen. Before the crowd’s complex gazes, the Virtual Divinity in the air descended, landing upon her ample, maternal bosom.

Seeing this, Isaac couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow in surprise. ’In such a harsh environment, they can still get that big?’

’F!’

Isaac narrowed his eyes, his expression unchanging as he made his judgment.

”Very good,” Isaac said coolly, looking at the chosen woman. ”Grasp it, then press it into your chest.”

”Yes, Divine Master!” Hearing Isaac’s words, another blush crept onto the woman’s rosy face. It was hard not to be excited!

After all, the tales of the Blade of the Scorching Sun and the great Fighting God were widely told in the Underground Palace City; almost everyone knew them. Thus, their anticipation for Isaac—the one revered as the Divine Master, who had bestowed Divine Power upon those two, and whom they had never seen—was naturally even greater.

They hoped he would bestow such Divine Power upon them as well.

And now, after missing the Blessings to become a Follower of the two great Deities, she had actually received such an opportunity—an even greater one, a chance to ascend to the heavens in a single step. How could she not be thrilled?

Perhaps due to the influence of the Virtual Divinity’s brilliant Divine Power, however, her excitement quickly subsided under the five-colored divine light. A faint, benevolent smile appeared on her face as she extended her hands, caught the Virtual Divinity, and thrust it into her body.

In an instant, a five-colored divine light erupted, forcing everyone to instinctively shut their eyes. Only Isaac and the two other Deities could see what was happening within the light.

As the three of them watched, illusory Ritual Arrays flashed across her body. Her aura strengthened at a visible rate. The two Deities watched this with great curiosity; after all, it was the first time they had ever witnessed such a scene.

Unlike the other two Deities, however, Isaac frowned. ’The experiment’s results are in...’

He took a deep breath. ’The results... are a bit complicated...’

’First, allowing the Virtual Divinity to choose its host does give the resulting Virtual Deity a higher starting point. But this isn’t necessarily a good thing for the host. Since the Virtual Divinity made the choice, the host is indeed a good fit.’

’The problem is, they’re also a perfect fit for the [Divinity] to devour!’

’I could tell as much from the woman’s reaction just now. She hadn’t even begun to merge with it—she hadn’t even touched the Virtual Divinity—yet its power was already affecting her, putting that benevolent expression on her face...’

’The rate at which she’ll be devoured... is going to be fast...’

To be honest, Isaac had mixed feelings about this discovery. On one hand, it would increase his efficiency in wielding Miracles and allow him to create Divine Servant Demons faster. On the other hand, it might mean his future research into [Human Nature]’s resistance against [Divinity] would face unexpected problems.

’Good and bad...’

’A mixed bag, I suppose!’

Just as Isaac was lost in thought, the ritual concluded. The divine light faded to reveal a voluptuous, barefoot woman standing on the spot, with only a single strip of white silk wrapped around her body, concealing the crucial parts.

No, to be precise, she was floating.

Her fair, bare feet hovered just above the ground.

The Mother Goddess’s body emanated a faint white glow, and a five-colored divine sigil rested between her brows. As the light faded, she slowly opened her golden eyes. Ignoring the humans who had knelt all around her under the influence of her benevolent Divine Spirit Aura, she flew straight to Isaac.

Her fair, bare feet touched the dusty ground for the first time as she respectfully dropped to one knee.

”The Mother Goddess, Maxu Kant, greets the Divine Master. Thank you for your bestowed grace!”

Isaac was not surprised by Maxu Kant’s attitude, which was even more reverent than that of Mephisto and the Fighting God. After all, compared to them, she had already been heavily afflicted by the Erosion of [Divinity] the very instant she became a God.

The [Divinity]’s dependence on Isaac, coupled with the reverence she had held for him even before she became a God, made this change entirely expected.

What did surprise Isaac, however, was her name...

’It’s even more bizarre than Mephisto’s!’

’Mephisto merely shared a name with the King of Hell from the myths and Legends of my past life. But in this world, there really is a Succubus Queen named Maxu Kant!’

’Can she still use that name after becoming a God?’

’Is it just a coincidence, or is there some other connection?’

Isaac narrowed his eyes. He was inclined to believe it was the latter.

’Because a Deity is an Existence of a very High Position, even a Virtual Deity.’

’And a High Position usually implies a significant status within the [Mysterious]. In mysticism, there’s no such thing as coincidence!’

’Every coincidence conceals a deeper connection!’

’It seems there’s still a lot I don’t understand about Miracle Magic·God Sealing.’

Though his mind was racing, Isaac simply gave an impassive nod. He turned his right hand over, and an eye burning with blood-red flames materialized—the Virtual Divinity, [Evil Eye].

”You aren’t skilled in combat, so you won’t need to participate in the defense of the Underground Palace City. As for Followers, just choose a few to convert and spread your Divine Sound. I have a separate task for you.” As he spoke, Isaac gave a casual push. The Evil Eye floated slowly toward Maxu Kant, and at the same moment, a stream of information flowed into the space between her brows.

”First, create Divine Fragments for me. After that, I will have other tasks for you.”

With that, Isaac’s figure was once again swallowed by the jagged edges of the Void, and he vanished from the spot.

’The Mother Goddess Maxu Kant’s situation has exceeded my expectations,’ he thought as he departed. ’The next phase of my experimental plans will need to be modified, including the plan for the Divine Servant Demons!’

”As you command, Divine Master!”

After Isaac departed, Maxu Kant did not rise immediately. Only after murmuring her assent did she slowly get to her feet. She first reached out to grasp the Evil Eye in her hand, then turned to look at Mephisto and the Fighting God with an indifferent gaze.

Maxu Kant’s demeanor made the two Deities’ hearts shudder. In her, they saw the shadow of the Master of Blood, who had self-destructed without a moment’s hesitation.

’Could it be...?’

A truly horrifying thought flashed through the minds of Mephisto and the Fighting God, but they quickly suppressed it. Mephisto knew what was most important for the Wilderness Humans at that moment, and besides, he trusted the Divine Master.

As for the Fighting God, he suppressed the thought because he knew he was no match for Isaac.

He also knew the attitude of the two before him toward the Divine Master. He was certain that if they knew the thought that had just crossed his mind, they would show him absolutely no mercy.

None at all.

”Apologies,” Mephisto said. ”This was all quite sudden, so we haven’t prepared a Divine Hall for you. You’ll have to wait a bit longer.”

”That’s fine,” Maxu Kant replied coolly. ”Just give me a place to stay and some Demon Flesh. I must complete the Divine Master’s task.”

”No problem. This way.”
