Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 2317: Chapter 2318: White Goose Town

Parry Mountains and Leaf Groot, at this moment, also recognized the sincerity of Rhein.

Through the Witch’s Confession, they engaged in conversation once more.

On the basis of mutual trust established by the Witch’s Confession, their discussions were quite pleasant, although there were occasional odd psychological activities, but they were harmless... The only one who felt a little hurt was Angel.

Yes, it was Angel.

The matter begins with their renewed conversation.

”I agree with this. — Although I don’t really want to agree, I have to face the disparity in strength, human Wizards are still stronger than Elemental Creatures. It’s so annoying, if only Angel, that little trickster, hadn’t entered the Tidal World.”

This was an inner thought of Parry Mountains under the Witch’s Confession, fully exposed to everyone present.

At first, Parry Mountains felt a bit embarrassed about cursing Angel in front of them.

But later, Parry Mountains was surprised to find that Sanders and Rhein across from him seemed to have no reaction to this, and even the following occurred:

”I know. — What did Angel do again to become unwelcome? Hah, let him be, serves him right.” This was Sanders’ voice.

Parry Mountains knew Sanders was Angel’s Mentor, and even Sanders was complaining about Angel in his psychological activities, so the slight embarrassment immediately vanished.

After that, their discussions, in terms of questions and answers on the surface, were normal. But the underlying psychological activities all pointed at Angel.

Especially Parry Mountains, who essentially criticized Angel from head to toe.

Through this series of criticisms, others also understood what exactly Angel did to anger Parry Mountains.

Although, to Rhein and Sanders, Angel’s method to lure out Nami Midori wasn’t a big issue, they were happy enough to see Angel’s rare embarrassed expression.

They didn’t say it out loud, but their psychological activities didn’t lie.

And Angel, at the center of the vortex, wanted to argue something, but it was futile. Because Parry Mountains could easily say, ”I didn’t say anything, those were just my inner thoughts, can’t I even think?”

Thinking is acceptable! But not within the ”Witch’s Confession”!

Angel, previously having slightly lost his prestige due to unimportant psychological activities, felt embarrassed to comment, and could only silently retreat beyond the mysterious light shield’s range.

Hear no evil, see no evil.

Apart from Angel’s topic, with a foundation of mutual trust, everyone was more sincere in this conversation. Although there were some differences in the details, because they could see each other’s bottom lines, it wasn’t enough to cause endless disputes.

However, this conversation was merely a test, the real talk would have to wait for Rhein to go to the Fire Territory in the future and confer with all the Monarchs and the Sage.

Because the matter of the Tidal World is relatively complex, and the Tidal World itself is also geopolitically vast, each place requires analysis, this conversation lasted an entire day.

Until Angel sensed Nami Midori logged out from the Wilderness of Dreams, their talk was temporarily halted.

Yes, it was a temporary stop. And this ”temporary” didn’t pause for long because after more than ten minutes, Nami Midori wandered out from the depths of the Lost Forest and joined the conversation.

With Nami Midori’s participation, the discussion shifted from its previous casualness to becoming more solemn.

Because Nami Midori, being the strongest in the current Tidal World, its words could very likely influence the final resolution of the future conference.

...

In the Tidal World, with the arrival of Rhein and Sanders, it gradually began to show a different atmosphere.

And this day, will surely affect the structure of the Southern Domain Wizard World in the future.

But all of this has little impact on ordinary people because their distance from the world of the Transcendent is far too vast.

White Goose Cry Sand Island, the name breaks into White Goose Cry, Sand Island.

It covers an area of over 20,000 square kilometers and is an inconspicuous island among the Sitha Maya Archipelago because the largest lake on the island resembles a white goose raising its neck and crying, thus it was named White Goose Cry. The inland regions where life is sustainable are scarce, with sandy areas predominating, hence it’s a veritable Sand Island.

On this inconspicuous island, there is a town named White Goose Town, named for its proximity to Goose Cry Lake.

The young Bruiser lived in White Goose Town.

However, the place where he lived is in the southwest corner of White Goose Town, in the slum... in the junkyard.

In a somewhat dark, broken Ironsheet House, Bruiser stood with one foot on a wooden flowerpot without flowers, biting a roll of gauze in his mouth, wrapping his right hand continuously.

On the palm of his right hand, there was a pink lump the size of a peach pit. He was born with it, before Old Jason was beaten to death over food, he once took him to see a Doctor and inquired about the lump’s condition, the Doctor said it was a birth defect.

Because he was born in the junkyard, and due to the nearby coal furnace plants, some people here are born with deformities.

Bruiser was relatively lucky, his lump wasn’t considered large, unlike Old Jason’s son, who as a baby had a belly as big as a ball, and didn’t even survive for a year. But this was fortunate for Bruiser, as Old Jason adopted him after losing his son, finding Bruiser abandoned in the junkyard at the time.

Living aimlessly, Bruiser grew up under Old Jason’s rough care, until twelve years later when Old Jason was beaten to death.

Old Jason, though generally rugged, taught Bruiser the ways of survival and even taught him to read, though he himself wasn’t sure why Old Jason was literate, considering that literate people were rare in White Goose Town.

”Sigh.” Reflecting on Old Jason’s death two years ago, Bruiser felt somewhat downcast, and couldn’t help but let out a long sigh, though wrapping the gauze didn’t cease.

The lump on his palm didn’t usually affect his life much, but it spoiled his appearance and hindered him in fights — growing up in a junkyard, if you don’t learn to fight, you can’t seize useful materials from other scavengers.

Therefore, for convenience, Bruiser wrapped his right hand tightly with gauze.

Only, this roll of gauze picked from the hospital trash bin, which was originally unopened, had an awkward length.

Having finished wrapping his palm, a long piece still remained outside.

This protruding piece, if called long, wasn’t long enough to cut and rewrap the palm; if called short, it was quite a bit extra.

This left Bruiser pondering whether to cut it off?

After thinking it over, Bruiser decided against it, considering that plenty of gauze could be picked from the hospital trash bin. As for the extra piece, Bruiser simply wrapped it around his slender right forearm.

After wrapping, Bruiser waved his fist.

As the white gauze band fluttered in the air, Bruiser’s mouth sounded with ”ho ho ho” sound effects.

”Not bad, not bad, this kind of looks like the gauntlet of the young Dark Lord from ’Dark Lord’!” Bruiser nodded with satisfaction, and couldn’t help but say a line from the young Dark Lord: ”You think you’ve won? Hahahaha, that’s because you haven’t seen my complete form! My fists are sealed with the power of darkness, open your eyes and witness its eerie glow! The stage is mine next!”

’Dark Lord’ was a book Bruiser found in a trash heap, seemingly discarded by someone, with a line of someone else’s review inside: What is this nonsense, not even children would read it, boring.

But Bruiser himself really liked it, even though he knew the novel was fake, he just liked it, and loved to immerse himself in the role of the Dark Lord, occasionally mimicking the Dark Lord’s speech, just like earlier.

Feeling quite pleased with himself, Bruiser gently lifted the small metal window covered with newspaper.

As a ray of sunshine poured in, a stench of garbage also wafted in from outside.

Bruiser was quite accustomed to this smell, didn’t mind it at all, and continued to look outside.

”Today’s weather is nice, there’s still food in storage, no new garbage has been delivered... seems there’s nothing to do.” Bruiser pondered for a moment, then suddenly his eyes lit up: ”Right, I could go to White Sand Manor to see Siber!”

Siber was the little miss of White Sand Manor, although she didn’t know Bruiser, when Bruiser accidentally caught a glimpse of Siber once, he felt she was very friendly.

Of course, the friendliness was just Bruiser’s personal feeling.

Siber was quite well-known in White Goose Town, but infamous for her coldness, the famously indifferent young lady. At least, friendliness had nothing to do with it.

Since old Jason’s death, Bruiser rarely sensed friendliness from others, so he had a strange feeling towards Siber.

He knew there was a big social gap between him and Siber, so he never thought of approaching her.

But he liked to sneak to White Sand Manor to see Siber, even if it’s just a glance, it would lift his spirits for a whole day.

It happened that, thinking of old Jason today, his mood was a bit down. He could go find Siber to cheer himself up.

Thinking of this, Bruiser quickly put on his chainmail with holes, wore his ill-fitting suede shoes, and donned his most beloved black cloak. Although this cloak was a bit tattered, Bruiser still loved it because it was the standard gear of the protagonist in ’Dark Lord’.

Bruiser pushed open the metal door, carefully observed his surroundings, made sure there were no scavengers, then locked the door and sprinted toward the edge of the landfill.

Meanwhile, at the quiet White Sand Manor.

”Lady Melo, how can it be you!?” Siber opened the door and was surprised to see a lady, about thirty years old, standing outside in an elegantly black dress.

Four years ago, when Siber accompanied her mother to the main island of the horse cluster, she had encountered Lady Melo purchasing ’Sea Night Dew’ in a shop selling cosmetic stones and powders.

They hit it off at once and talked for a long time.

Later, Siber went to visit a famous etiquette teacher nearby to learn noble manners for entering the Red Coral Church on the main island, and this teacher was none other than Lady Melo.

During the six months they spent together, their relationship naturally became very close. Unfortunately, after Siber returned to White Goose Cry Sand Island, she never saw Lady Melo again.

Siber regretted this a lot and often reminisced about those six months.

Unexpectedly, today Lady Melo came straight to White Sand Manor! This certainly delighted Siber greatly.

After welcoming Lady Melo into the house, Siber bustled around like a busy bee, even forgetting she had servants, wanting only to present the best things to Lady Melo.

After a long while, Siber finally calmed down at the signal of a look from Melo.

”I, I was just too excited, actually I’m not usually like this.” Siber said a bit shyly.

”I know.” Melo smiled slightly: ”Before I came, I asked about you outside, and, oh, the famous cold Miss.”

The ever-cold Siber blushed slightly, lowered her head in embarrassment.

Melo understood Siber’s personality, she was indeed cold to strangers, but passionate to acquaintances. However, not many people were included in Siber’s ”acquaintance” circle. Besides her family, there was only Lady Melo.

”Let’s get back to business. We’re already quite close to White Coral Floating Island Academy, to avoid misunderstandings, I can’t stay long here.”

Siber didn’t know what White Coral Floating Island Academy was, nor did she care; what she cared about was: ”Lady Melo, can’t you stay a few more days? I can take you for a stroll around Goose Cry Lake, it’s very beautiful there.”

Melo shook her head: ”I can’t, it’s the rule.”

Siber lowered her head disappointedly, looking quite crestfallen.

Melo: ”This time I came mainly to see if my intuition was right.”

”Intuition?” Siber asked in confusion.

Melo smiled, the so-called intuition was actually a feeling towards Siber. Though she hadn’t yet advanced to an official Wizard, she had certain prophetic inspirations.

At the time they first met, Melo felt it might be some kind of instinct, or a premonition.

After all, at that time Siber was just a mortal, and she was a Transcendent. It’s extremely rare for a Transcendent being to feel an immediate connection with a mortal, especially since Siber was just a little bean back then.

Therefore, Melo thought Siber might have something extraordinary about her, perhaps a Talented One?

This time Melo set out from the Barbarian Cave on a guiding mission, and came to White Goose Cry Sand Island to find Siber.

If Siber was indeed a Talented One, Melo wouldn’t mind bringing her into the Barbarian Cave.

However, the Sida Marea Archipelago is adjacent to White Coral Floating Island Academy, and White Goose Cry Sand Island is even closer to White Coral Floating Island Academy, belonging nominally under the jurisdiction of White Coral Floating Island Academy. If a Talented One appeared, they would also be taken into the Academy by White Coral Floating Island Academy.

If Melo’s actions were discovered, it would feel like poaching people.

Therefore, to avoid drawing attention, Melo planned to test it and leave quickly.

However, just as Melo was about to reveal she was a Transcendent, her brow suddenly furrowed, and she abruptly turned to look out the window.

”Who’s there?”

Bruiser, crouched and hiding behind the bushes, was startled, immediately flattened himself, intending to sneak away.

However, before Bruiser’s plan could materialize, a strange force rose from the ground, directly lifting his body into the air.

It was as if someone had grabbed him and tossed him inside the window.

When he opened his eyes, he found two beautiful and elegant ladies standing around him.

Bruiser didn’t have time to think about how he got in, and awkwardly waved at them: ”You... hello?”
