Chapter 2136: Chapter 2137: Tide Wave Garden

Tide Wave Garden, although a small garden, is a Witchcraft Garden, and thus, it inevitably contains the Power of Laws within.

No matter how thin, such Power of Laws is still derived from the great will of the reality.

Rhein clearly intends to test what will happen if the intrinsic laws of the Witchcraft Garden collide with the virtual laws of the Wilderness of Dreams.

This time, Angel did not immediately agree; he even showed some hesitation and refusal.

The idea of pulling the Witchcraft Garden into the Wilderness of Dreams was not only considered by Rhein; Sanders, as the owner of the Gravity Garden, naturally thought about it as well.

However, after discussing with Angel, Sanders never actually did it.

Because the Power of Laws in the Gravity Garden is very strong, there was concern it could harm the Wilderness of Dreams. What’s more, there are many dream realm residents in the Wilderness of Dreams, especially Jon, who is very important to Angel.

If the conflict of laws leads to disaster in the Wilderness of Dreams, it would not be something Sanders wishes to see.

Therefore, even if Sanders intended to test it, ultimately, after discussing with Angel, he decided not to.

Because of this prior event, when Rhein brought it up now, Angel hesitated.

”I previously talked with Sanders; I know what you’re worried about,” Rhein said as Angel hesitated. ”Let me take you inside first; after you’ve seen it, I’ll explain.”

After speaking, Rhein activated the transparent glass bead in his hand.

Pale blue mist began to emanate from the glass bead, gradually approaching Angel. Angel did not evade; he allowed the mist to envelop him.

When the mist completely covered his body, the carpet beneath his feet, which had been floating and ethereal, suddenly became solid.

Looking down, he found that below was no longer the void but a fertile land.

The mist also disappeared at this time, and Angel knew he had entered the interior of the Tide Wave Garden. He looked around and found himself standing on a cliff.

Behind him was a Wizard’s Tower very similar to the Cloud Tower, and beside the tower, a small fenced garden of pure white, but there were no flowers in the garden; the lone tree was also withered.

Angel looked at the tower and the tree on the cliff, feeling something strange.

After some thought, he noticed it. Although there were apparent water elements in the earth and air, the amount was not much different from the outside, perhaps even less.

You must know, this is the Tide Wave Garden, a Witchcraft Garden of water system laws!

Such a thin water element is clearly not right!

”It seems you noticed.” Seeing Angel perceiving the water element, Rhein knew he had discovered the discord: ”I know what you want to ask; fly to the sky and take a look, and you’ll understand.”

Angel hesitated for a moment but still flew high into the sky.

From the height, looking down, Angel was stunned.

He originally thought the place they stood on was a cliff, but it was not; instead, it was a vast depression, with the only high-standing isolated island.

All around were lands depressed by hundreds of meters, even a thousand meters. On the ground, one could see the corpses of dead sea creatures and the bottomless ravines.

”This was once an ocean; my Wizard’s Tower was built on the only island in this ocean. Now, the island remains, but it’s become a solitary mountain. The surrounding ocean has disappeared, turning into a depression.” Rhein floated beside Angel, speaking slowly: ”Now, the only place with water is at the bottoms of those ravines, and the creatures bred here are gathering there.”

Rhein directed Angel to the crisscrossing ravines: ”Do you want to take a look? There are some very interesting sea creatures, even ones extinct in the outside world.”

”No need.” Angel gazed at the true ”sea change into mulberry fields” land and took a deep breath: ”Why has this place become like this? Was it done by Lord Rhein?”

Rhein nodded: ”Yes, I did it last night.”

In Angel’s perplexed surprise, Rhein calmly revealed the inside story.

”While you were deciphering the broken magic pattern on the Knight’s armor, I met with Sanders a few times and mentioned wanting to test if the Witchcraft Garden could be pulled into the Wilderness of Dreams by the Dream Conch. He then told me about your concerns.”

”Your concerns are correct, even if not for your enlightening mentor or your former family servants, just for those vibrant dream realm residents, it’s necessary to proceed with caution.” What Rhein said wasn’t out of kind concern; those dream realm residents, in his eyes, are perfect subjects for studying the Wilderness of Dreams. He prefers to avoid unnecessary consumption.

”Sanders’s decision not to pull the Gravity Garden into the Wilderness of Dreams was correct. At that time, virtual magic power hadn’t arisen yet; the energy level of the Wilderness of Dreams was too low, and the Law of Gravity was too strong, likely resulting in unimaginable consequences.”

Rhein’s tone shifted: ”This time, the reason I brought it up again is that Sanders and I have conducted numerous simulations. The Tide Wave Garden is a small witchcraft garden, with inherently weak Power of Laws. In several simulations, we confirmed that the current laws in the Wilderness of Dreams... or your authorities, or virtual laws, far surpass the Tide Wave Garden’s laws at present.”

”Especially the authority of Celestial Alternation, which can directly crush the laws within the Tide Wave Garden.”

”In this scenario, a confrontation between the two would surely result in the Wilderness of Dreams being the victor.”

Although it’s not necessarily disastrous if reality’s laws and the virtual laws of the Wilderness of Dreams collide, they must consider the most dangerous scenarios.

Under the most perilous consideration, if the Wilderness of Dreams still triumphs, the chances of it being damaged would be very low.

”But that’s only our simulation; it’s still hard to say what the actual situation will be. Even a tiny bit of reality’s law might shake the foundations of the virtual laws, so to guard against this possibility, I further reduced the risk. Yesterday, I completely consumed all the Power of Laws within the Tide Wave Garden, and that’s why the garden’s interior appears this way.”

”Completely consumed?” Angel unconsciously raised his voice; completely depleting a Witchcraft Garden’s most vital Power of Laws showcased Rhein’s audacity, leaving him in awe.

”Yes, but after all, this is a Witchcraft Garden; although the Power of Laws is currently gone, it’s built on the Foundation of Laws, and it will gradually restore the Power of Laws in the future. But this restoration can be controlled.”

”Controlled...” Angel muttered these words, enlightenment flashing in his eyes.

Angel roughly understood Rhein’s intention.

Rhein wants to bring the Tide Wave Garden, which now lacks Power of Laws, into the Wilderness of Dreams. In this situation, the risk isn’t too high, and they can test the waters.

Then, by leveraging the Foundation of Laws, allow the Tide Wave Garden to gradually restore its laws, and during this restoration process, if the reality’s laws and the Wilderness of Dreams’ virtual laws are incompatible, they can stop the loss in time through control.

It can be said that Rhein has minimized the risk to nearly nothing.

Rhein: ”There’s one more thing, remember, the birth of the Wilderness of Dreams still relies on reality’s laws. Even though it can construct various virtual laws after its birth, this is still produced under the overarching reality’s laws. In this case, Sanders and I are more inclined to optimism rather than pessimism.”

”Perhaps, the virtual laws and reality’s laws won’t result in severe repercussions, but instead, they might mutually enhance each other.”

After speaking about the worst-case scenario, Rhein began to discuss the outcomes he and Sanders speculated.

And these outcomes were not about things becoming worse.

”Lastly, we still overlooked a fundamental issue. Whether the Dream Conch from Moonlit Coast, this mysterious artifact, can pull the Power of Laws from the Witchcraft Garden into the dream is something that needs to be tested.”

As the words fell, Rhein paused, his gaze turning towards Angel, making his intentions clear: the choice now rests in your hands.

Whether to try or not, ultimately, it is up to Angel to decide.

Before entering the Tide Wave Garden, Angel was still hesitant and resistant, but as Rhein spoke, the scales in his heart began to sway. Moreover, the decision Rhein made was also the result of his discussion with Sanders.

Sanders’ understanding of the Wilderness of Dreams, at least in terms of energy level, was stronger than Angel. Angel also trusted Sanders’ judgment.

In the end, Angel decided to give it a try.

”Alright.” Angel looked at the scarred land: ”We can’t let Lord Reine deplete the Power of Laws in vain.”

...

Although he had already decided to try, Angel still hadn’t completely eased his mind. He took an ultra-large, strategic-level defensive scroll from the material library in the New City and activated it, covering the entire Originheart City.

If a crisis truly arises, this defensive scroll could at least buy some time for Angel to quell the crisis in the Wilderness of Dreams.

In addition to this, Angel handed Jon a Magic Rune Scroll with defensive strength comparable to a full-power casting of a Half-step Legend. If a crisis occurs that cannot be quelled or reversed, Jon, with this scroll, can still delay time and return to his broken body in reality.

Rhein silently watched Angel make these preparations. He didn’t actually think an irreparable crisis would occur but did not stop Angel either.

After all, these Magic Rune Scrolls, which would be heart-wrenching to use in reality for several years, didn’t require such concern for consumption here.

Rhein’s only worry was that some offensive Magic Rune Scrolls with excessively high energy levels could potentially pierce the fragile world of the Wilderness of Dreams. Fortunately, Angel used defensive scrolls, which would not pose any problem.

However, since Rhein had already identified the potential problem area, while Angel was setting up the defenses, he locked all the high-energy offensive items and Magic Rune Scrolls using special secret boxes. If the Tide Wave Garden could be brought into the Wilderness of Dreams, ensuring these strategic-level items got collected into the Tide Wave Garden could prevent them from being accessed by outsiders.

After they completed all the preparations, they returned to the Exile Space in reality.

”Let’s begin,” Rhein handed the Glass Bead representing the Tide Wave Garden to Angel.

After receiving it, Angel gently nodded. However, he didn’t immediately take out the Dream Conch but instead quietly stared at the transparent Glass Bead.

Rhein didn’t press him, merely saying, ”I’ll first enter the Wilderness of Dreams. Send me to the area where the Tide Wave Garden is about to arrive.”

”Mm.” Angel extended a finger towards Rhein, and the latter then entered an extremely remote and isolated corner of the Wilderness of Dreams. Should any problem arise, the effects in this remote location wouldn’t amplify immediately.

After Rhein entered the Wilderness of Dreams, Angel pondered for a moment, then slowly exhaled—

Begin.

Angel took out the Dream Conch, activated it without hesitation!

The Dream Conch immediately emitted waves of mysterious fluctuations, which soon covered the Glass Bead in Angel’s hand as the mysterious fluctuations spread.

Angel noticed that the duration of this mysterious fluctuation was obviously longer than before.

”Is it because of the Laws in the Tide Wave Garden?” Angel speculated silently.

About fifteen seconds later, the mysterious waves disappeared.

Everything, including the Glass Bead, remained unchanged around them. This is the nature of the Dream Conch; it doesn’t affect any objects in reality.

However, while everything in reality remained intact, changes occurred within the Wilderness of Dreams.

After putting away the Dream Conch, Angel immediately used the Nightmare Illusion Dream Technique on himself without hesitation.

Just as he crossed the Dream Bridge and stood before the Gate of Dreams, he noticed some unusual circumstances.

The other side of the Gate of Dreams was pitch black.

Yet, by the time of the Wilderness of Dreams, it should be daylight over there.

”Could a problem have really occurred?” Angel’s heart skipped a beat, and he strode forward.

As Angel truly stood inside the Wilderness of Dreams, he was immediately blasted by fierce gusts of wind, causing his hair and garment hems to flutter wildly in the wind.

At that moment, Angel noticed that the pitch-black scene he saw earlier wasn’t nighttime. Instead, the oppressive dark clouds had shrouded the unnamed small ridge, making it appear like night.

Boom——

Gales howled, thunder roared.

Angel looked up to see Lightning Serpents traversing the dark clouds, the scene integrated with the oppressive atmosphere, as if witnessing the end of the world.

However, all of this was merely superficial.

By using the Ability Tree and God’s View to observe the surroundings, Angel didn’t detect any anomalies within the Wilderness of Dreams; the boundary membrane remained untouched.

Furthermore, the rolling dark clouds, raging gales, and ominous thunder wrapping the Lightning Serpents in a wild dance, though widespread, did not affect the entire Wilderness of Dreams. Both Originheart City and the New City were calm at the moment; even though the skies were gloomy, there was nothing terrifying.

Seeing this, Angel slightly sighed in relief.

At the very least, it indicated that the Wilderness of Dreams wasn’t at its most critical state.

Once confirming that the Wilderness of Dreams itself was not problematic, Angel began searching for the Glass Bead representing the Tide Wave Garden.

Due to the overly dark surroundings, Angel couldn’t spot the Glass Bead right away. Just as he was about to switch to God’s View again, he noticed Rhein not far away.

At this moment, Rhein was employing virtual magic power, skillfully controlling minimal Wind Element, leveraging the force of the gale to hover in mid-air. This level of intricate control, even Angel couldn’t achieve.

Rhein also noticed Angel, but his gaze didn’t linger on Angel. Instead, it was fixated on a certain spot in the darkness.

Angel moved to Rhein’s side and followed his gaze.

A tiny Glass Bead was emitting a dim glow of water, leisurely floating in the darkness...
