Villain Extra: Rogue Reader

Swoosh!

Ray managed to step onto the teleportation circle alongside his maid and new slave.

Of course, there were many death gazes at him.

And like a gentleman, he was, he repaid in kind and stuck his tongue out to them all.

To put the cherry on the topping, he also raised his middle finger. ”Should have brought some fish for our hardworking Pigeon instead of complaining.”

”That’s right!” Pigeon Cook was pleased at Ray’s statement. He was a gluttonous pigeon and highly appreciated great quality fish that contained mana.

Indeed, the fish that Ray fed him was one of the expensive kinds that contained mana and helped boost one’s stats temporarily when consumed.

Had it not been for such a great quality product, Pigeon Cook wouldn’t have even allowed Ray to skip the lines after his offensive remark.

But since he managed to redeem himself with the fish, Pigeon Cook was magnanimous and a forgiving bird.

’Hahaha, too easy!’ Ray laughed inwardly when he managed to farm quite a bit of villain points from these jealous and loser students.

They should have done their homework before coming to the academy.

Imagine not knowing who to bribe and how to bribe?

That was just asking for a tough academy life!

Connections were the key to most solutions!

Of course, the protagonist, William, sucked hard at making connections.

Actually, no, all protagonists suffered from this disease: attracting Young Masters.

Wherever they go, a random Young Master would pop out, and unless they were a fatty, the protagonist would always offend them.

Either way, the Young Masters would find every reason possible just to make the protagonist their enemy and end up having their whole genealogy eliminated.

’Ahh, I should have charged Sylas for more interest. It’s only because of me that he managed to avoid the elimination of his genealogy.’ Ray lamented his failure.

Of course, just because Sylas avoided this path didn’t mean he avoided suffering by association factor. In most cases, the friends of the protagonist would suffer their strong enemy’s retaliation.

Since the enemy couldn’t get to the protagonist and they were furious, their only option was to go after the protagonist’s friends.

And oftentimes, 9 out of 10 times, the friends’ family would be wiped out, and they ended up being captured, tortured, and suffering daily until the protagonist finished their so-called power-up arc.

’Hmm, I wonder how long it would take William to provoke a professor here.’ If he could have made a bet, then he would have been the host and scammed a lot more money.

Unfortunately, William was still a nobody, and his talents would only slowly be revealed in the upcoming aptitude test.

Yes, the so-called boring aptitude test, where every student gets tested, and the crowd goes bonkers when the protagonist has zero aptitude in the detection device.

”Where is our dorm, Belva?” Ray yawned and asked. His brain juice was running low with all these schemes.

He was not a schemer, alright.

He was just an honest man trying to live a carefree life.

So honest that every person wished for his death or downfall because of jealousy and envy.

”It should be in Section A, Number 68,” Belva replied.

”What?” Ray was stupefied. ”Oh come on, why isn’t it 67 or 69, but the number sandwiched between them?”

To be sandwiched by two cursed numbers was truly something uncomfortable.

”Is there something wrong with those numbers?” She tilted her head, unable to connect the dots.

”Ah, right, I forgot you didn’t live in a brain-rot society.” Ray reckoned nobody here beside his rotten brain, which had been scrolling on reels and memes, would know about the special properties revolving 67 and 69.

”Where is your dorm, Sam?” He turned to her and questioned.

This woman had been quiet for a while. She was totally scheming something behind his back.

”My dorm is Section C number 361,” Samantha responded.

”Pfft 361... just 1 more over on the number 360 no scope Ooga Booga!” He cracked a big laugh. But when he realized the two stared at him with a confused expression, he sighed softly.

Truly... nothing was more depressing than talking with people who don’t understand nonsensical jokes or conversations.

”You can get my uniform and other stuff first, Belva. I’ll be in my dorm lying in bed.” Ray waved his hand and wished to be alone.

As he slowly exited the premises, Samantha couldn’t help but comment, ”Your Young Master is really quite the lazy person.”

”That’s only because you’ve been swindled by his outer persona.” Belva was too lazy to even interact with Samantha.

How could she not know that was just his indirect permission to roam around the academy?

The route to get his academy uniform was on the same path as his dorm room.

Yet he was practically shooing her to another direction... a direction that led to the Professor’s Lounge.

Coincidence?

She highly doubted it when he even ordered her to purchase high-quality fish filled with abundant mana prior to coming to the academy.

The new first-year students wouldn’t know about Pigeon Cook—even second and third year students might not know about it unless they were in a club.

However, Ray managed to find out about the news.

Keep in mind that even though others knew about Pigeon Cook, the latter taste was rather peculiar.

On a good day, it might enjoy the fish that Ray fed today, but on another day, it might dislike it.

Others might call it lucky if they were fortunate enough to feed the correct food to Pigeon Cook, but only those who truly understood Pigeon Cook would know what it would be like.

’Ray... just who are you really?’ Belva still couldn’t figure him out after this long, but she, on the other hand, felt like an open book to him.

And she would be correct in that mindset because Ray purchased her character profile.

”I should probably give my greetings to Professor Margaret.” She exhaled softly and was anxious about the meeting.
