Three Towers Game

Chapter 1401: Chapter 447: A Different Leon (Part 2)

”Until later, the enormous fate also poured upon us, it turns out...we only need to hunt each other to become gods.”

”I’m thinking, this is simply my opportunity.”

”At that time, all of you gathered there. Including those five who were weaker.”

”At that time, I could have killed you all.”

Archer also recalled that scene.

Everyone suddenly received new rules: dead people make the living stronger, and only when the last one remains alive, a god will be born.

After this rule came out, there should have been a massacre.

But that massacre never came, because the eldest sister proposed that everyone should first avoid it, disperse worldwide, and keep distance from each other, waiting for something to settle.

Actually, before this suggestion arrived, everyone had already tested each other’s strength.

Leon was the strongest.

In such an environment...everyone hadn’t yet explored their mightiest power, at that time, pure destructive force was the scariest.

Also after that, Leon became the universally acknowledged enemy. At that moment, everyone agreed to join forces against Leon.

If Leon had opposed Aries’ suggestion...perhaps a god would have already been born.

But Leon didn’t object; he agreed to the suggestion.

Thus after that, the church was empty, the apocalypse was imminent, twelve children qualified to become gods started hiding around the world, seeking their destiny.

They gradually grew up, some choosing to retain their childlike appearances, some let time pass without altering their looks, or presented themselves in the most beautiful form.

But they all recognized each other.

No matter if many years had passed, no matter if they’ve been hiding and changing appearances over the years, they could instantly recognize each other.

”But I didn’t kill you.”

”I know you are beginning to gradually comprehend your powers, I also know your potential is not below mine. In the future, you will surpass me in certain concepts. But I don’t care.”

”My enemy is not you; I have finally found the specific reason for what I must change.”

”Only during this process, I also underwent a transformation, because those guys I’ve conquered deserve my protection.”

”While those I once wanted to protect all long to kill me.”

Archer’s expression was complex:

”What exactly do you want to change?”

Leon said:

”Of course, change fate.”

”Archer, I don’t accept such fate; I don’t accept that destiny where one must hunt others to become the strongest; I want to destroy it. You are not my enemy.”

”My life should have a grander villain, and that villain isn’t any of you. You don’t deserve it.”

Archer was somewhat stunned.

He never thought that Leon, the guy who used to bully almost everyone during the church days...would actually think this way.

But upon careful thought, this indeed fits Leon.

Leon truly is the kind of person who seeks stronger targets and ultimately conquers them.

”But now, I’ve changed my mind, because I realize, you truly believe these destinies, comply with this fate...from disliking me, you’ve turned to lust for my death.”

”Then I will truly kill you; if I can’t change this curse, then I accept the curse of mutual hunting, I will ascend to the throne and become its sole master.”

Archer’s emotions were extremely complex.

It was as if something had been shattered, many past memories slowly changing color due to Leon’s words today.

Just like if you despise someone, when they smile at you, you’d think it’s mocking.

But if you abruptly find out that person actually wants to protect you, when they smile at you, is it still ridicule?

I thought I was helping you.

This sentence resurfaced in Archer’s mind.

”Coward, you are too timid, if Jia Yuan bullies you, just fight back, what good is hiding?”

Since their relationship was poor, he always thought it was sarcasm.

But if...this sentence was said by someone very close, perhaps it is a piece of advice to escape predicament.

”I won’t kill you now, because I still need you for some things, you’re currently my bait, you’re not qualified to die yet.”

”Don’t even think you can escape Lion City with your own strength.”

”You can’t do it. For so many years...Archer, you’ve gained some courage, but not much, you’re still that coward who likes to weave a small corner and peek from inside.”

”Your arrows have gained a lot of power, but you can never defeat me, because you still haven’t grasped the most crucial thing—courage.”

On Leon’s face, the disdainful expression reappeared.

After walking out of prison, Leon’s expression did not change.

He remains a proud lion.

Recalling Leon’s final words, Archer felt humiliated, but he didn’t deny...he feared Leon.

This fear made him somewhat despair, as if no matter how much power he comprehends, he can’t defeat Leon.

Outside Lion City prison, the sound of pandemic’s cough echoed.

”Cough cough...boss, I heard it, alright, alright, it’s my fault for eavesdropping. But your word has to count, right?”

”I’ve said, everything was as I guessed, they truly want to kill you, not just talk about it, now, hasn’t it been proven?”

”So, your word has to count, you must indeed have the resolve to kill them.”

Leon said:

”Pandemic, you talk too much, it’s not your place to instruct me.”

Looking at the countless buildings of Lion City, seeing the busyness of countless warriors, Leon indeed made up his mind.

”I am not living in the apocalypse seeking a fraction of past warmth. You don’t have to worry about this point.”

”Prepare to release the message, I think Archer will attract some big fish. I am curious if these brothers and sisters are still as weak as back then.”

Pandemic’s excited cough became more intense:

”Cough cough cough cough cough...Great, rest assured, I will definitely witness you...becoming a god!”

...

...

Deceit Tower resting area.

Wen Xishu suddenly discovered...this ascent of the tower had a different hint.

[Current item, Star Ring cannot be used normally.]

This made Wen Xishu’s heart skip a beat:

”It’s broken, has Sagittarius really gone wrong? It shouldn’t be...”

”Even if the Lord of Concealment is powerful, once Sagittarius knows the trait, a constellation can definitely escape without issue.”

Wen Xishu is worried, however, this scene gave him the possibility to understand the future.

[Mission level, seventy floors.]

[Mission introduction: Are you a face value control? Do you like pretty looks, or an interesting soul? Or do you think only when the looks are good is the soul worthy of being interesting, otherwise no matter how interesting an ugly look is, it’s just a goblin dancing?

Have you ever felt malice due to low attractiveness? If you could have your favorite look...would you abandon your current appearance?

If you already have a lover but she suddenly becomes ugly, would you find her disgusting? If the other person’s look is beautiful enough, even if it’s same-sex, would you be aroused?

If you are dissatisfied with appearance in any way, congratulations, you’ve found me, I am the Cosmetic Surgeon, I can change your voice, looks, height, body shape...

Even...I can change the appearance of the person you dislike. Want to make life more interesting? Come find me, come find me, come find me!]

[Judgment from the guide: Current survival probability, six out of ten thousand.]

Admittedly, Wen Xishu rarely encounters continuous plots. Often this task and the previous task would have a break.

But rarely, this task connects with the previous one.

An Rongzai mentioned the Cosmetic Surgeon, unexpectedly the next task truly led him to encounter the Cosmetic Surgeon.

”Looks like this challenge is related to changing faces? But how will it present?”

”Anyway, I must quickly get the invitation...at this time, Pisces should still be in Jicheng, maybe she can tell me what exactly happened to Sagittarius.”
