The Versatile Master Artist

”Tch—”

Koukou sneered with a mocking smile.

”First, you clearly knew Gu Weijing had feelings for you, but you never really confirmed the relationship, just keeping him hanging. When it comes to being a ’green tea girl’, who could be more of a bitch than you, Miss Sandunu? Even if I did take your boyfriend away, I’m still a good girl.”

”Second, even in this situation, I never hooked up with Gu Weijing. I indeed hoped Gu Weijing would take the initiative to like me, but I never actively sabotaged your relationship. I even endured my discomfort and reminded you several times to cherish such a boyfriend. Sister, it’s you who set your eyes on that Jerry, driven by greed and lust, and turned a deaf ear.”

”You don’t appreciate him, so I cherish him. If you don’t want him, I’ll take him, is that my fault?”

Koukou’s feelings towards Gu Weijing are always peculiar.

Through the filter of memories—good impression, gratitude, curiosity, vague affection, excitement of reuniting... all sorts of tangled emotions mixed together, hard to discern.

Like a newbie bartender randomly mixing a cocktail at the bar.

Leaving you dizzy after a sip, even Koukou herself couldn’t make sense of what kind of feeling it was.

Koukou doesn’t necessarily have to have Gu Weijing.

Being someone with abundant emotions, she can clearly perceive the sweet and hazy vibe of a first love between Gu Weijing and Mona.

She doesn’t really want to actively ruin that feeling.

Koukou is very grateful to Gu Weijing.

She thinks she shouldn’t stir trouble in their relationship as a way to repay the smile this boy once gave her.

Honestly, compared to flirting, Koukou is confident that someone as wooden as Mona, the cold beauty, couldn’t stand up to her.

It’s just that Gu Weijing might be upset about it.

Koukou also feels this would be a betrayal of her own memory.

The most Koukou would do is, like before, turn herself into a dazzling heartthrob, the dream lover of every boy in the grade, even making girls jealous of her.

If Gu Weijing ever falls for her and by then she hasn’t found someone to replace him in her heart, they can naturally come together.

If Gu Weijing goes on with that female student council president and ends up in a relationship.

Koukou would still willingly give a slightly bitter aunt smile and wish them a happy life together.

Of course,

all her kindness is reserved for Gu Weijing.

As for Mona, whom Koukou can never like, she sees her as a ’green tea bitch.’

So she targets her everywhere, always at odds with Mona.

During the play rehearsal, she had her play the old witch role and insisted through the drama teacher that she must wear an ugly, comical wig.

Gave her a pair of red dance shoes with cracked heels, secretly hoping she’d twist her ankle in public.

When distributing birthday cards, deliberately leaving one short.

...

”All those things I did on purpose. But I won’t apologize for it. I don’t feel a bit that I was wrong. Because when we first met, you called me an ugly goldfish.”

Koukou’s tone bore no trace of regret.

To Mona’s ears, it sounded even more like provocation.

”This bitch wasn’t satisfied with stealing my boyfriend! Now she flaunts her past deliberate ’small shoe’ tactics!”

Just look,

Is this even human speech!

Miss Sandunu, always displaying poise and composure in front of classmates, was about to have her rage gauge completely filled up by Koukou.

Damn it.

Mona couldn’t bear it anymore.

She clutched the hefty history novel in her hand, her fingertips turning pale.

Today, even if she quits being the student council president, Mona just wants to smash this hefty book onto Koukou’s despicable face.

While Miss Sandunu was contemplating the best way to hurl ”Wolf Hall” over.

Koukou’s gaze made her pause again.

That look contained a hint of emptiness mixed with despair, and a bit of bewildered confusion.

Mona felt a stir in her heart from that gaze.

The fiery rage in her chest inexplicably evaporated, leaving nothing behind.

That wasn’t the look of a mistress flaunting her new boyfriend to the original partner.

In that gaze, Mona saw a glimpse of shared misery.

Before her mind could grasp this startling notion.

Mona never imagined there’d be a day when she and Koukou might share some level of understanding.

”I’m willing to tell you all this today because I truly don’t get it, Mona, what exactly makes you so compelling that men are infatuated with you.”

”Clearly, you just kicked someone away with one foot, then turned around with a few sweet words, wink, and they run back to your side.”

Liking someone is like a peacock spreading its feathers.

You strive to become the version of yourself they like.

Koukou secretly relished when learning Gu Weijing and Mona split up.

She’s a girl of many facets.

She can wear a figure-flattering dance dress and dance seductively on stage, but if Gu Weijing prefers Mona’s serious type.

She can also try to become like Mona.

She can accompany him to draw, apply to the same university, and learn to make things for him.

Koukou tightly clasped the red mark under the band-aid on her fingertip.

Last night, when following a livestream to make puffs, she accidentally got a slight burn from the hot air of the oven tray.
