The Quest for Immortality

But once truly forgotten, it also means that, unconsciously, one has cut through to the origin.

It means one’s human nature is beyond salvation, and by the time they wish to turn back, it will be too late.

Others can also serve as ’anchor points’ for emotionless cutting, but Mo Hua is always afraid that being too busy, he might inadvertently truly ’cut’ them.

Once cut, the ties of affection are severed, and they are completely forgotten.

If they meet again by chance, while others recognize him, he would feel awkward for having secretly cut the ’affection’ and completely forgotten them.

”Who should I use as the ’anchor point’ for emotionless cutting...”

Mo Hua felt conflicted, pondered for a long time, then suddenly thought of a good idea:

”Senior Sister!”

Using Senior Sister as the anchor point for cultivating the ’Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao.’

While cultivating, occasionally think of Senior Sister.

If the feelings dwindle, it indicates something went wrong with the practice.

If the feelings remain, it means that one’s ’human nature’ still exists, and the human bond has not been extinguished.

As long as human nature and the heart to pursue the Dao remain, there is no problem.

Among other aspects of human nature, there is indeed a lot of ’chaff’ that can be cut.

Greed, anger, foolishness, grievances.

The heart flutters like a mayfly, desires surge like the sea.

Other various distracting thoughts about fame and fortune can all be cut.

After cutting these miscellaneous desires, washing away the dust, seeing through the surface, the Taoist heart becomes clear and the resolve grows firmer.

By cutting emotions this way, one could cultivate the ’Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao’ that appears emotionless but is not.

Mo Hua felt joy in his heart, but then his brow furrowed.

But then, does this mean I’ve practiced wrongly again?

Mo Hua considered it for a moment, deciding it didn’t matter.

”As long as I can practice, it’s fine...”

After all, it’s not like it’s the first or second time.

After going astray so many times, one gets used to it.

With this thought, Mo Hua felt at ease.

Then he began to seriously cut emotions and comprehend the Dao, cutting his own emotions according to the method passed on by Patriarch Dugu.

After cutting for a while, he would meditate on Senior Sister.

If the emotions haven’t faded, it means the cutting was correct.

If the emotions felt faded, he’d pause and reflect on the recently used ’emotion-cutting’ method to see if something was wrong.

Until the image of Senior Sister’s pure and peerless beauty appeared clearly in his mind, then he would continue to cut emotions and comprehend the Dao. ŗÃ𐌽օβЕṨ

Seeking natural law, preserving human nature.

In this way, with ’Senior Sister’ as the anchor point, Mo Hua’s cultivation of the ’Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao’ deepened bit by bit...

Of course, he hadn’t forgotten the Tai Xu God-Slaying Style either.

Every morning, he would first use the Tai Xu Sword Flow to cut his Life Soul, allowing the Sword Dao Origin to deeply merge with his Divine Soul.

At night, he would then cultivate the ’Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao.’

Following this supreme ’enlightenment’ method, he comprehended the Dao of ’emotion-cutting,’ and then merged this Dao of emotion-cutting into Divine Thought into sword.

In this way, he simultaneously cultivated the ’Tai Xu God-Slaying Sword’ and the ’Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao.’

Both of these methods he stumbled upon by chance, and now mixed together in cultivation, Mo Hua wasn’t quite sure what the outcome would be. But after thinking it over, he believed it shouldn’t be too weak.

At least there was hope in cutting an evil embryo.

Mo Hua slightly nodded.

His requirements weren’t too high; as long as he could cut the evil embryo, it would be fine...

...

In Tao Cultivation, there is no concept of time.

With the addition of two new ’cultivation’ methods, Mo Hua’s time each day became more strained, and his tasks heavier.

He had to cultivate, attend classes, and teach formation classes to the lineage of Three Mountains with thousands of Junior Brothers and Sisters.

During breaks, he had to study formations, learn the Godslaying Sword, and cultivate the Emotionless Path.

Mo Hua, with no distractions, focused on cultivation, momentarily unaware of other matters.

But on this day, as Mo Hua was cultivating the Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao, suddenly, in the boundless void, cause and effect stirred.

The pale and bloodstained face of Gu Changhuai suddenly floated into his mind.

Mo Hua was stunned.

”...Uncle Gu?”

Mo Hua thought for a moment, felt something was off, then took out a Letter Token and sent a message to Gu Changhuai:

”Uncle Gu, are you alright...”

There was no response.

Mo Hua patiently waited for a long time, but Gu Changhuai still didn’t reply.

”What’s going on...”

Mo Hua frowned, remembering during the festival at the Gu family when Uncle Gu mentioned the blood-sucking Demon Sect, a dozen Golden Core Demon Cultivators, and the matter of the Taoist Court gathering people to encircle and suppress demon cultivators.

”Is he carrying out a Taoist Court mission, unable to use the Letter Token, or...”

”Uncle Gu, he won’t be in any trouble, will he...”

A sliver of unease grew in Mo Hua’s heart.

...

Nightfall descended.

In Qingzhou City.

Several cultivators of the Gu family, driving a carriage, hurriedly rushed towards their destination, covered in blood, eyes filled with anxiety, foreheads beaded with cold sweat.

Once the carriage entered the city, it raced all the way to the Gu family residence. One person immediately jumped off the horse, disregarded everything else, and hurriedly called out:

”Quick! Someone! Go fetch the Elder Dan Dao!”

The previously tranquil Gu family immediately became a scene of uproar.

Moments later, the Gu family’s Danshi Elder arrived, lifted the blood-reeking carriage curtain, and was met with a sight full of bloodstains.

And lying in the carriage, the half-soaked in blood Taoist Robe, pale-faced and unconscious Gu Changhuai.

His forehead was deathly black.

”Evil Qi has entered the brain, the forehead is pitch black...”

The pupils of several Gu family Elders trembled instantly, their hearts chilled to the core.

”This is... Death Omen...”
