The Quest for Immortality

When Mo Hua noticed something strange and looked up, Patriarch Dugu still had the same countenance, even his expression had not changed at all.

”Self-slaying the Life Soul, it’s no big deal...” Patriarch Dugu said.

Mo Hua was startled, ”Is it okay?”

Patriarch Dugu nodded, ”I’ve said it before, you are different from others. Some things others cannot learn, but you can; some paths others cannot traverse, but you can; similarly, self-slaying the Life Soul, others cannot do, but you can...”

”The only issue is, self-slaying the Life Soul is not easy, it requires the comprehension of certain special spell points.”

”Special spell points?”

”Indeed,” Patriarch Dugu nodded, ”You must comprehend a kind of Dao.”

”Comprehend Dao?” Mo Hua asked curiously, ”What Dao?”

Patriarch Dugu’s gaze was heavy, and he spoke slowly: ”’Heartless’ Path.”

”Heartless Path?”

Mo Hua’s brow gradually furrowed, the more he listened, the more confused he became.

Patriarch Dugu’s expression was indifferent, without sorrow or joy:

”Tai Xu God-Slaying Sword, the most important thing is the word ’Slay’, the reason it can slay deities is because it contains Origin Power, infused with the ’Slay and Extinguish’ Dao.”

”The Dao of Slay and Extinguish, as the name implies, is to cut off emotions and extinguish desires.”

”To sever all worldly sentiments, reaching a state of heartlessness and desirelessness, selflessness and thoughtlessness, without attachment or obsession. Only thus can one truly slay everything, comprehend the supreme Sword Dao, and with mortal thoughts, slay deities.”

”This is called, the Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao...”

Mo Hua was shaken in his heart.

Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao...

Before he could think deeply, Patriarch Dugu continued:

”This is a great ’Dao’ Law. If you truly cultivate it and integrate this Dao into the Sword Dao, with a heart void, cutting off the self, you can unify with the Human Dao, merge with the ’Slay and Extinguish’ Law, make your body a sword, your soul a sword, with unparalleled edge, nothing in this world can escape your slay!” 𝖗ά₦ộβƐṡ

Patriarch Dugu looked at Mo Hua: ”Do you want to learn it?”

Mo Hua’s emotions surged, and he nodded slowly.

”Good!” Patriarch Dugu’s eyes shone, praising, ”Your talent is extraordinary and must not be wasted. I will now teach you the Supreme Emotion-cutting Dao, instruct you on how to comprehend this supreme Dao Law...”

Patriarch Dugu extended his withered finger and tapped Mo Hua’s forehead.

Instantly, a profound insight, mixed with the transformations of the Dao, accompanied by external realm chants, poured into Mo Hua’s mind.

Among them were various incredible methods of Dao enlightenment.

Mo Hua only felt his heart and mind were clear, experiencing an almost origin-like, merging with the Dao, profoundly mysterious insight.

A spell point of infinite mystery was imprinted in his heart.

Mo Hua immersed himself in comprehension, lost track of time, and slowly opened his eyes, with a moment of void in his gaze before gradually returning to awareness.

”Did you remember everything?” Patriarch Dugu asked.

Mo Hua nodded, ”I remembered everything.”

From the depths of Patriarch Dugu’s eyes, he had high hopes for Mo Hua, and said solemnly, ”Study well, comprehend well. What I have imparted to you is the supreme Dao. Understanding this Dao, transforming the Dao to sword, your Swordsmanship will reach the Pinnacle, slaying all things in the world!”

Mo Hua’s spirit was invigorated, he bowed thrice to Patriarch Dugu, and respectfully said: ”Thank you, Ancestor, for your kindness in transmitting the Dao.”

Patriarch Dugu nodded, and then with a comforting expression, sighed: ”Besides you, I have no one else to transmit this to...”

Mo Hua then bowed to Patriarch Dugu again.

Patriarch Dugu said, ”Alright, go back and comprehend well.”

”Yes.” Mo Hua said.

Patriarch Dugu tore the void and sent Mo Hua back to the Disciple’s Residence.

After Mo Hua left, within the Forbidden Land.

The night was deep, moonlight bleak, Sword Tomb desolate.

Patriarch Dugu still sat alone, motionless, like a clay sculpture or stone statue.

A moment later, Patriarch Dugu suddenly came to his senses, glanced around, looked at the sky, realized Mo Hua had been sent away, and his pupils suddenly shrank.

”What exactly did I just... teach him?”

”No... It’s those ’things’, what exactly did they teach this child...”

Patriarch Dugu’s countenance trembled, a chill lurking in the depths of his heart.
