THE GOD EATER

If they go further inland, they will be surrounded by the Martial Body Sect even if the Martial Body Sect isn’t doing anything to surround them. So many of them began to waver.

Unfortunately for them, the choice of where to attack isn’t theirs. They can either obey orders or pay a fine. That is as much choice as they have in this matter.

Loki didn’t bother to convince them that the situation was fine and that there was nothing to worry about. After he received the order, he began leading them to the next city.

But as bad as things were for his team, it was worse for the Martial Body Sect. This was because the battlefield had been thrown into disarray.

When the commander of the Martial Body Sect first heard of the attack, he ordered the three cities around City A, the first city that was attacked, to reinforce City A.

This order was why City B, the city behind City A, had sent out its soldiers to reinforce City A. Unfortunately, the soldiers of City B were caught on the way and killed.

As for the cities on the left and right of City A, their reinforcement managed to reach City A, safe and sound. They had also sent their rank 4 protectors, so there were two rank 4 warriors with the reinforcements.

Unfortunately for them, by sending away their soldiers, they reduced the defense of their two cities. This gave Amelia an opportunity that was immediately exploited.

She sent soldiers to attack the two cities while their defenders were away. She used overwhelming force to attack by sending the forces of three cities to attack a single city, so the two cities were quick to fall.

The forces of three cities had attacked a city with only half of its defenses. It was no wonder it fell so quickly.

The two cities fell even before the soldiers they sent out as reinforcement arrived at City A. So when the two teams of reinforcement arrived at City A, they found no one there. What they received for their efforts was the news that their cities had fallen.

The fall of these two cities caused panic among the Martial Body Sect. They reacted by asking the reinforcements to continue to hold City A while they sent reinforcements from nearby cities to take back the two cities flanking City A.

But this move didn’t go well at all. This was because Amelia wasn’t fighting fair at all.

When the Martial Body Sect sends reinforcements, they only send reinforcements from the three nearby cities. That means they are only mobilizing the forces of three cities while the rest of their forces remain split into the remaining hundreds of cities.

Amelia, on the other hand, wasn’t moving the soldiers of a few cities. She has actually mobilized most of the soldiers that she has in the small world.

This means that she left hundreds of her cities mostly defenseless. The Martial Body Sect didn’t know this and was still fighting based on cities, not based on the whole battlefield.

While they were still playing the game of chess, where they take or lose cities, Amelia had overturned the game and was fighting for the whole battlefield. So in any clash that the Four Directions Sect had with the Martial Body Sect, the Four Directions Sect won by a landslide.

The outcome of the fights looked like the Four Directions Sect was the one who had a lot of manpower to spare, not the Martial Body Sect.

City A, which had been taken recently by the reinforcements, was overwhelmed very soon by another round of attack, and they were slaughtered. So not only did they fail to save City A, they also failed to keep the two cities that they the two cities flanking City A.

But these victors of the Four Directions Sect didn’t stay in City A after retaking it. They left City A in favor of advancing to City B, which Loki just left behind.

The two cities flanking City B had sent reinforcements to City B. Just like before, these reinforcements failed to meet Loki. Then the people of the Four Directions Sect smashed into them and quickly overwhelmed them with superior numbers.

The same thing happened to the two cities flanking City B. Amelia easily took it now that its defenders had been halved.

But this still wasn’t enough for Amelia. She ordered her soldiers to continue moving.

She made it so that the soldiers didn’t bother to stay still in a city to try to hold it after taking it. Her main goal was to kill the warriors of the Martial Body Sect, not to hold cities.

She was aiming to cripple the Martial Body Sect, or at least deal a devastating blow to them that would take too much time and resources to recover from.

This tactic forced the Martial Body Sect to scramble to keep up with her. But they were always late by a step, and even when they were not late, they were always outnumbered.

As if this wasn’t bad enough, there was also news that more cities were falling inland. This forced them to split their attention.

They had to put out the fire that Amelia was spreading on the front lines, as well as the fire that was burning straight into their heart.

Loki formed the head of the spear. His job was to create holes in the defenses of the Martial Body Sect. When the Martial Body Sect tries to fill this hole, Amelia will use the opportunity to smash into them and burst the hole wide open.

This tactic worked well for a while. But after the third time and the third city that Loki attacked, the commander of the Martial Body Sect realized what was going on.

The commander still didn’t see the full picture, but he realized that he had to put a stop to Loki’s inland adventure or Amelia would continue to use Loki to create holes.
