Auric could see her energy flowing uncontrollably. The flow was a mess.

The biggest problem was that her condition was caused by something familiar. There were multiple large lumps of energy in her body that didn’t seem to be caused by the improper accumulation of energy from a battle technique.

Rather, these lumps of energy were actually similar to the one Timothy had.

Auric politely placed his hand on his chest before slightly bowing. ”I greet Lady Merlin.”

”This is an unofficial visit, so there’s no need to use my official title.”

”Then, this is a problem...” Auric looked as if he was contemplating something hard.

”What is the problem?” she asked. Even the instructors Auric brought were also confused.

”I don’t know whether I should call you Sister Christina or Lady Christina.” Auric’s words flowed so smoothly that they didn’t feel anything from such a cheeky line.

Timothy simply dropped his jaw in disbelief. He never thought Auric would be so daring as to actually tease the person who almost made him an eunuch.

”What are you saying? Hurry up and apologize!” Maya was pinching Auric’s ear. ”I’m sorry, Lady Christina. This kid has a bit of a problem.”

”Hoho.” Christina let out a small laugh in amusement.

Mr. Green and Supervisor Jacob were simply glancing at each other, reaching the same conclusion. If Christina attacked Auric, they would immediately escape from here.

Surprisingly, Christina replied, ”What a cheeky young man! If you were just a pretty little thing, I would have been angry, but you noticed something about me, didn’t you??”

Timothy widened his eyes. Christina actually didn’t get angry with Auric.

Auric shook his head. ”I don’t know what you’re talking about. You are so beautiful, and I just can’t help saying such a thing.”

Christina squinted her eyes. It was clear that when Auric looked at her, there was a small change of expression that indicated he saw or sensed something.

However, Auric was clever enough to play dumb so that she would be the one to reveal it.

In other words, she was the one who needed to take the initiative. Christina paused for a moment before saying, ”You are really an amusing kid.”

”You flatter me.” Auric remained calm all the time.

Maya was dumbfounded as she couldn’t help but recall what happened when she first gave him a lesson. ’This guy... he once flirted with me when I was trying to give him a lesson, but has he grown so bold that he would actually flirt with someone of her stature? Besides, she’s a grandma... she’s just hiding her age.’

Auric then asked, ”May I know why you want to talk to me, Lady Christina?”

”You already know what I want to talk about.” Christina just crossed her arms, looking at him coldly.

”I am not sure if I know what you want to talk about. I have no way of knowing what other people want. Even if they tell me, they could still be lying.”

Christina finally understood why Timothy lost to this guy. He didn’t lose in a competition, but Timothy definitely lost in a lot of other things.

She turned to Supervisor Jacob and the other instructors. ”While I allowed you to come to this discussion to protect him, I don’t wish for any information discussed here to be spread around.”

”Don’t worry, Lady Christina. We’ll keep it a secret.” Supervisor Jacob nodded with a solemn expression.

Christina turned to Auric and asked, ”If I want to treat my condition, what kind of price do I need to pay?”

”!!!” Supervisor Jacob and the others were surprised and confused at the same time. Christina was sick?

To their surprise, even Timothy looked at her in shock. ”Lady Merlin?! W-What? Are you sick?”

She had never shown any signs that she was sick, so it was kind of surprising.

As soon as she confirmed what she wanted to know, Auric’s expression changed. He immediately explained, ”It does look like you have a condition. Your energy flows uncontrollably. However, other than that, I can’t see anything else. You should still be able to use your power, and it doesn’t seem to be severe enough to prevent you from doing anything.

”However, your condition just makes me wonder something. You don’t have any blood relation to Timothy. Not even a drop of blood, or you wouldn’t have arranged your granddaughter’s engagement to him.

”Yet, you are suffering something similar to him. If it’s not genetic, then what is it? All I can think of is your element. I have never seen anything like this before, but...” Auric narrowed his eyes. ”Is this perhaps a condition that only appears in people who possess absolute elements?

”Of course, that’s just my speculation. Further examinations will be required to figure out whether I’m correct.

”It’s just I can understand the flow of energy, but I don’t see how it’s harming you. You seem to be able to use your energy just fine... at least on the outside.”

”Lady Merlin?” Timothy never thought she was actually suffering the same thing. It was already unbearable for him, yet she had experienced something like this for much, much longer.

It was amazing that she hadn’t taken her life yet.

Christina chuckled. ”See? You already know what I’m talking about.”

Auric just smiled.

Christina was a bit hesitant, but she explained, ”After reaching Rank 2, a condition started to develop in my body. I would feel a constant breeze not from the outside, but from the inside.

”While it certainly didn’t affect my daily life too much, it didn’t change the fact that it made me uncomfortable all the time.

”You would feel full almost all the time as if your body were bloated. At the same time, when it was cold, it would feel like you are blasting an electric fan at full force on top of the minimum temperature of an air conditioner.

”When it was hot, you would feel the same, only in reverse. You would feel like you were being boiled from the inside.

”I can endure all that pain. After getting used to that pain, I can advance smoothly and achieve all this. It’s just... it might be just my greed, but I can’t help but see the possibility of my condition being treated. A normal life like any other.”

”Lady Merlin...” Timothy never thought she had been suffering like this for so long.

Christina said, ”As you suspect, this might be a condition that appears only in someone possessing an absolute element. I started to think that way after this kid developed the same condition as me. It’s not the same torture, but...”

”He also develops it after reaching Rank 2.” Auric nodded in understanding. ”Is that why you brought him into your family?”

Christina sighed. ”I thought that since medical knowledge had advanced since I started developing this condition, he would have a chance, especially since his condition hadn’t developed as severely as mine.

”Well, I wouldn’t deny the thought that he would be useful to my family, but yeah... maybe I will see hope if he’s also cured.”

”Lady Merlin...” Timothy didn’t expect that the reason Christina poured so much money and resource into getting his family to accept the engagement between him and her granddaughter was this condition.

It was true that she wanted to cure herself, but she wanted to make sure he was cured first. She understood the suffering that Timothy was experiencing more than anyone else.

Christina continued, ”However, two people is not enough to confirm whether this is a special condition only for those who possess absolute elements or not. There is a chance to confirm it. Esfrata has an absolute fire element user, right?”

”!!!” Supervisor Jacob widened his eyes. ”He’s going to suffer from the same condition, too?”

”If this condition applies to all absolute element users, that is.”

Supervisor Jacob looked down, falling into deep thought. If that were the case, he didn’t know whether Tommi’s element was a blessing or a curse.

Fortunately, Tommi was actually Auric’s close friend. Auric would surely treat Tommi well.

”I’ve been researching my condition for so many years. Absolute elements might be rare, but there are still many records about them.

”I’ve found records of 85 absolute element users over the past 100 years. Do you know how many of them died of old age?” Christina asked.

”How many?” Auric narrowed his eyes.

”None of them.”

”!!!” They were dumbfounded.

”People thought that most users fell in battle. Maybe it’s because their enemy is sending an assassin or the beasts are simply too strong.

”But most of them died when they started developing this condition. They don’t realize anything and then suddenly, boom! They have an episode in the middle of the fight and die.

”There are some records of those who have actually survived because they’re sheltered. I couldn’t get their medical records, but they eventually succumbed to this condition.

”Only seven people have managed to live past 40, but none of them died of old age. I’m stubbornly resisting because I want to break that record. I can’t help but feel a little greedy when there’s an opportunity right in front of me.”

Christina looked at Auric. There was a trace of sadness and desperation in her gaze.

Auric could understand her condition. ”Still, since there are many records, someone should have drawn a conclusion or developed a theory about this condition, right? It should have a formal name.”

”There is one. Dense Magical Body. However, there weren’t many explanations.”

”What? There’s a name for that?” Timothy was dumbfounded.

”I don’t want you to harm yourself. Just look at you. You are already playing with women and alcohol and betraying my granddaughter when you only suffer the symptoms for a year or two. If I tell you about that, you might end up committing suicide rather than suffering for the rest of your life.”

”...” Timothy couldn’t exactly say anything. He might really do that after knowing there was no treatment for his condition.

”I get the gist of the situation.” Auric nodded in understanding. ”Does that mean there’s something wrong with the absolute elements themselves?”

Auric had acquired the absolute fire himself, but he still didn’t feel anything. He had also gone to the Mysterious Cave ruins where the absolute earth element was located.

’No, wait. The ruins?’ Auric noticed something. ’Lindwurm... you told me that the energy in the Mysterious Cave ruins was sealed perfectly, right? How did you manage to sense it then?’

Lindwurm realized something. ”I used your senses to the very limit. Your father’s element allowed me to do that. In other words, it’s something you can do in the future.”

’My father’s element...’

”Yes. In fact, you can actually treat their conditions if this is actually the norm for all the people with absolute elements by using your father’s element. After all, he changed your body—hhhhuuppphhh!”

Lindwurm covered his mouth in shock, almost blabbering something he shouldn’t.
