The Genius Evolution Store

The next day.

Everyone had gathered in the arena again. This was the schedule that everyone had been waiting for.

There were people who couldn’t clash in the previous competition because the brackets didn’t allow them to. There were people who surprisingly got taken out before the peak of the competition.

This competition would settle all the debts. It even lasted for three days. If they had a lot of challenges, that meant the time would be well spent. On the other hand, if there weren’t many challenges, there would be free time in the third week, in preparation for the survival competition.

Everyone was looking forward to this fight, especially Auric. In the end, he intended to challenge someone above his rank as well.

Katarina asked, ”Are you going to challenge people right away?”

”Nope. I’m not here to seek attention, even though it will be seen that way.” Auric sighed. ”Rather, people are going to challenge you, the champion of the Rank 4 competition. Ellia will be the same, considering she is also the champion of the Rank 3 competition.”

”Fortunately, we can reject the challenge this time or postpone it to recover our energy. This way, we can prevent anyone from using such a dirty trick just to win.” Katarina smiled.

All the students were excited about it as they wanted to challenge other people to prove themselves.

Each country sent out one Rank 6 instructor. One of them stepped forth and announced, ”Good morning, everyone. I’m sure you’ve been waiting for this competition. I can see that a lot of you are eager to challenge your rivals.

”So, I’m not going to talk a lot. I want to announce only four things. First, if you’d like to challenge someone, please enter the arena first and challenge that person. The other party is allowed to reject that request or postpone it depending on their needs.

”Second, the rules of this competition will be the same as the fighting competition. Defeat the other person. The instructors here will stop you whenever the situation becomes dangerous.

”Third, if there’s no more challenges for the day because of a few reasons such as postponed challenges or waiting for your rivals to recover, you will have free time for the rest of the day.

”Last but not least, just enjoy this competition and do your best. Because this battle will be more exciting, there will be three instructors who are unrelated to the countries of the participants. If the fighters come from Granda and the UK, for example, then the other three countries will referee the match to ensure safety and avoid the destruction of the arena. That’s all. I wish you luck.”

The instructor raised his hand, signaling that the competition had just begun.

Everyone was wondering who was going to open this competition, but to their surprise, the one who decided to come forward was one of the strongest students, Alexander.

”!!!” They widened their eyes, as they couldn’t believe Alexander would be challenging someone instead of getting the challenge. Then again, he professed himself the conqueror, so he might be more comfortable on the offensive.

Alexander had landed in the center of the arena.

The referee asked, ”Well, Alexander from Lech-Aistia. It’s surprising to see you be the first one to challenge someone. Who would you like to challenge?”

Alexander smirked. His gaze was locked onto one person, Auric Elfe.

Auric’s eyebrows twitched.

Alexander pointed at Auric without hesitation. ”I want to challenge Auric Elfe.”

”!!!” Everyone looked shocked. It was true that Auric possessed a Rank 3 dark element, but the rest of his elements were Rank 2. This was basically a fight between a Rank 2 student and a Rank 4 student.

It was definitely not a fair match.

Supervisor Jacob couldn’t help but stand up. ”Oi! Do you have any shame? You’re practically challenging someone who is mostly Rank 2. Just because he possesses a Rank 3 element doesn’t mean his combat prowess follows the highest one.”

Supervisor Jacob obviously didn’t know whether Auric’s combat prowess followed the average or the highest one.

Nevertheless, he just made them think it was the average. It wouldn’t exactly change anything for him if it were true, but he could use it as another card to surprise his opponent if it wasn’t true.

Before the instructors from Lech-Aistia could do anything, Alexander simply said, ”In that case, let’s do it in this way. I will receive three attacks from him. I will only use my power to defend myself, not to attack him. If I end up attacking him, the referee can stop the match and it will be my loss.

”However, if I receive three attacks successfully, it will be my victory.” Alexander grinned. He had been thinking about this condition from the beginning.

This way, it wouldn’t be dangerous for Auric. No, it would be a favorable engagement for Auric. However, people still thought no matter how hard Auric tried, he wouldn’t be capable of utilizing anything that could harm Alexander.

After all, Alexander’s defense was actually one of the strongest among the Rank 4 students. The one who could be compared to him was Katarina.

Supervisor Jacob opened his mouth, wanting to rebuke him.

To his surprise, Auric had already jumped toward him and whispered a few things. Then, Auric jumped into the arena and said, ”Very well. Let’s fight.”

”!!!” The students were shocked. They never thought Auric would actually accept this challenge.

If Auric couldn’t even make Alexander flinch, it would be too shameful. It would have been better for Auric to reject it, even though Alexander offered such conditions. People would understand.

Even the viewers were going crazy in the livestream.

[No way! He actually accepted the challenge?]

[There’s no way he can do anything, right?]

[My prince will definitely win! He won’t be humiliated.]

[Go, go, go! Crush this arrogant bastard!]

The opinions split. Some didn’t think Auric could do anything. Some wanted to believe Auric had a trump card. No one actually believed that Auric could do anything, except for a select few like Katarina.

”Hahahaha! I know you’re going to accept my challenge. You can use whatever you want. I’m just going to stand here.” Alexander grinned.

”You offered me three chances, but I’m not going to do it by gradually using my power to test the limits. Rather, I’ll go all out from the beginning, so I hope that you can survive. I don’t exactly want to murder someone.” Auric took a step back.

”Now, it’ll be shameful if you end up only tickling me.” Alexander released his energy, covering his body with it.

”It doesn’t look like you are using your transformation. You might regret it.” Auric shrugged. ”Well, it doesn’t matter to me.”

”Prove to me that you have the ability to hurt me. I might use my transformation.” Alexander harrumphed.

Auric simply glanced at the referee, signaling that he was ready.

”Very well. You may begin!”

”This is the first time I’ve used this language, but I guess it’s more effective to use it this way.” Auric channeled his power into his fingertip. Finally, after learning the language for so long, he could at least use it in a simple way.

Auric’s energy also erupted. Unlike the yellow energy from Alexander’s body, Auric actually released two types of energy that combined into one.

”!!!” A lot of people rose from their seats. ”That’s...”

”Black lightning?!”

”No, that’s not black lightning. He’s combining the dark element with his lightning element! He’s trying to supplement his lightning by using the dark element, so that this combined element will also reach at least rank 3.”

”Write.” Auric started writing his first word.

By the absolute authority vested in Me.

His writing might not be the most beautiful, but each word was crafted with care and precision.

Each word contained a massive amount of energy. These black words formed a few sparks here and there, symbolizing the combination of dark and lightning elements.

When the second character appeared, the amount of pressure coming from this ability increased. It continued to increase as Auric wrote down the next characters.

A lot of people widened their eyes. This was the first time they had seen a power like this.

”What’s this? Are those Chinese characters?”

”Why do I feel like the amount of energy and pressure coming from those words is increasing the more he writes?”

”What kind of ability is this? Is he just pouring everything he can?”

”Each of those words feels like a battle technique. Is he going to unleash all of them at once?”

”Impossible. There’s no way you can unleash so many battle techniques at the same time. It will just explode!”

Supervisor Jacob could understand their confusion. Even he didn’t have any explanations. ”I have seen him fight using that ability, but he only wrote a few words at that time, not to mention he was using our language, not Chinese.”

Supervisor Jacob realized what was going on. Back then, Auric imbued his power into every single character. That alone was enough to create a powerful ability.

This time, Auric went one step further. By using one character as one word, he could create an even more powerful and give them meaning. It would then reach a level that no one had ever seen before.

Just thinking about what it could unleash gave him goosebumps.

Let it descend without mercy.

Once the second line was formed, the pressure doubled. There was a difference between one line and one character. The intensity changed drastically.

Auric didn’t stop there.

Smite the enemy where they stand.

As soon as the third line formed, the energy contained in this technique surpassed Rank 3.

”!!!” Alexander widened his eyes in shock. This was definitely a technique capable of injuring him.

Unfortunately for him, Auric hadn’t stopped.

Pulverize their shields and shatter their defenses.

A lot of instructors stood up this time. This kind of attack had reached the same level of power that Katarina had unleashed to defeat Timothy in the Rank 4 competition.

”Khhh!” Alexander gritted his teeth and finally summoned his spirit, using his transformation.

Auric harrumphed and continued with the fifth line.

I summon forth the ancient bolt of lightning.

The fifth line was formed. Auric maintained his calm all this time, but his head was already hurting. If he continued to push himself after this, blood might start leaking from his nose and lips.

Controlling all these words was much harder than anyone could imagine. If he didn’t have the eyes that could see the elements, he would have failed on the fourth line.

However, he pushed himself for one last time and wrote down the sixth line.

Thus is My will. Obey!

Auric took a deep breath as his finger was shaking. Even so, he flicked those words and combined them. ”Edict!”

”!!!” Alexander froze. All those lines formed into a single ball of lightning. It didn’t look extraordinary at first, but the moment it was completed, it unleashed a level of pressure that he had never seen before.

*Roar!*

A dragon’s roar shattered the silence as the ball of lightning flew forward and turned into a black dragon.

Alexander had only one thought when he saw this dragon coming.

’I’m going to die.’
