The First Store System

Chapter 1546: Ancient Glorious City(17)

The second prince only saw a light, and the world around him turned dark.

Crash!

His corpse crashed to the ground, with a small pool of blood forming in no time.

Not long after, the Higher Gods standing guard outside the previous Emperorʼs residence rushed to the scene. They ignored the second prince and his guardʼs corpse but immediately knelt, showing their allegiance to the new Emperor.

The prisoners who had helped Halie escape the prison had pale faces since a bad feeling enveloped their hearts. As expected, Halie turned around and grinned at the prisoners.

She first focused on the man who was locked in the front prison. The kneeling guards didnʼt even have to listen to the order and immediately rushed to the prisoners.

Even a single Higher God was more than enough to kill everyone on the scene instantly, and the addition of a few more beings of the same strength helped it end even quicker.

”Thank you.” Halie thanked Aakesh once things were over.

Aakesh expressionlessly nodded and then asked Halie to activate the entry point.

Halie looked disappointed since she wanted to keep Aakesh with her. Only a few hours had passed, but she had never been so impressed by anyone as much as she was with Aakesh.

But since Aakesh had no interest in staying there, she did as he requested and opened the entry point.

”May we meet again!!!” Halie commented, looking at Aakeshʼs back.

Aakesh didnʼt even turn around and walked out of the building, finding himself on the familiar street. Before he could do anything else, a white light enveloped him.

At a rapid rate, his cultivation started growing, but before things could proceed any further, the system intervened and forced the new energy out, making the reward nothing for him.

Aakeshʼs way of cultivating was different from others, so the system didnʼt want any second energy to dirty Aakeshʼs inner energy.

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Aakesh didnʼt care much about getting his reward nullified and decided to proceed toward another challenge. He suddenly stopped and turned around after hearing the sound of footsteps.

”Store owner!” A man suddenly exclaimed in surprise when he saw the identity of the person before him.

Aakesh also recognized the man as Gusi, a regular at the store. Gusi immediately reached Aakesh and greeted him with a bow.

Gusi was one of the many randomly summoned by the city, and he had only completed his first challenge. A wide smile was plastered over his face since he received a great reward.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

[Host, the sun is two hours away from rising!]

The systemʼs mechanical voice suddenly rang in Aakeshʼs head. He stopped and immediately turned around, his owned building being the destination.

Aakesh had asked the system to notify him two hours before sunrise, and he would return to the city and the store on time and could meditate for at least an hour.

After walking for a few seconds, Aakesh returned to the building. Since Aakesh had been doing one challenge after another, he wasnʼt very far from the building.

After entering, he immediately walked to the first floor and entered the room set by him. There was a portal waiting for him on the left wall.

Aakesh walked to the portal and touched it. The next moment, a suction force appeared and sucked him inside. Aakesh could feel the overwhelming power of the suction force and was unable to fight against it, but found it to be nothing in comparison to the force from the virtual portal.

From the portal in the city, Aakesh at least could see the limit, but for Panagea, he couldnʼt see any limit and only saw hopelessness if the thought of fighting rose in his head at any time.

The next moment, Aakesh appeared outside the portal. The scene had changed compared to when he had entered.

Hundreds of guards had surrounded the portal, while a queue had formed for those who wanted to try their luck in the city.

The people there only saw a flash, and Aakesh immediately rushed toward the store. Only one person saw him, and it only happened because of his Higher God level cultivation. Since Aakesh didnʼt want to be seen, the man kept his silence and forgot what he saw.

[Host, the sun is about to rise on Thorr City!]

Aakesh opened his eyes after the systemʼs alert and looked toward the screen. No screen was there since Aakeshʼs absorption rate remained the same throughout the more than one hour of meditation.

Time flew by, and the first ray of light finally tore through the cover of darkness and touched the ground.

Click!

The sound of the door opening echoed as Aakesh opened the store as usual.

The appearance of the city in the sky didnʼt dim the enthusiasm of the customers, and they arrived in the same numbers, overcrowding the street outside the store as usual.

Aakesh didnʼt let them wait any longer and turned around, returning to his seat. Following that, the customers thronged the store like a raging tide.

In no time, the overcrowded street was devoid of any life, and all had entered the store.

The customers immediately noticed the change in the store since the hall space had grown severalfold compared to the previous day.

There was another change in the store. The number of customers shrouded in golden, transparent light had also grown, causing a new wave of excitement in the eyes of those who had to wait for hours for their turn.

Other than the 138,148 customers, others were shrouded in silver light. After a long time, the Panagea spots werenʼt booked for the entire day, right in the morning.

”The sale of Panagea cards had become active once again. There are 500,000 spots available for the same number of hours as earlier,” Aakesh announced another good news to the wealthy customers who could afford Panagea cards.

As expected, a new wave of excitement appeared on the faces of the customers who had missed Panagea cards due to there being only 100,000 cards available for sale.

After that, those who owned cards immediately went to the portal room, while the remaining in the group formed a queue to pay for their stay.
