Chapter 1537: Ancient Glorious City(8)

Aakesh walked to the next building and found an empty space waiting for him.

Clap! Clap! Clap!

Aakesh had only taken one step forward when suddenly, a clapping sound rang in the ears of three of them.

The three looked around and saw a scene materializing before them. In the scene, the same play was playing out, and Aakesh was a part of that. In reality, Aakesh had forcefully escaped the scene, whereas in the playing out scene, what would have happened if Aakesh had not escaped was occurring.

In the scene, Aakesh was sentenced to death by the son. But before that could happen, the mother overruled that sentence and made Aakesh her servant. She played the scene out because she wanted to avenge her humiliation and have Aakesh for himself.

Lily and Khavalʼs rage knew no bounds when they saw the scene, and they immediately rushed to find the source of the scene. But it seemed to have played out of thin air and didnʼt need any energy, so they couldnʼt stop it.

After the sentence was given, the woman brought Aakesh into her room. But before she could do anything, a strange aura rose from Aakesh and destroyed the scene.

Aakesh coldly looked at the scene before him. Even in an illusion, his bloodline wouldnʼt accept getting dominated by someone else.

The scene cracked into shards like broken pieces of glass, and once it touched the ground, it melted into it. Immediately after that, light particles began to gather and soon formed into a lifeform that looked exactly like the mother in the play.

It had no expression, like a machine when it looked at Aakesh, Lily, and Khaval. [Congratulations on surviving the physical and spiritual challenge of tragedy. You can get one of the three items as your reward.]

It then opened her mouth and announced in a mechanical voice. The city didnʼt only contain danger but also had rewards associated with it.

The two buildings were connected, so only when Aakesh survived both situations did he become eligible for the reward.

The next moment, three balls of light emerged before him. It was transparent, and the item could be seen from the outside.

Aakesh immediately made his decision and chose the second item in the middle. Immediately after that, the ball of light flew into his hands, and the item appeared.

Aakesh didnʼt waste any time and immediately handed that to Lily.

Lily nodded and immediately devoured the item. It was a ball of Sacred Energy that was one of the best resources for the cultivatorʼs inner world.

Immediately after absorbing that energy, her inner world grew double in size. It didnʼt affect her cultivation and further stabilized the foundation of her inner world.

Lily and Khaval didnʼt get any reward since their turn never arrived, so they werenʼt eligible for it.

Khaval cheered on Lilyʼs growth, and the next moment, the three of them appeared outside the building.

The doors were closed for him in both buildings. Aakesh then walked over to the other side of the road.

Both sides had numerous roads, and he had entered three of them on the left, so it was time for the right side. With Lily and Khaval beside him, he walked into the first building, and the view in front of him changed.

Before him stood a battle arena, with no life other than the three of them.

[Whoever wins between the three of you will become the owner of the building!]

The next moment, a mechanical voice rang in their heads. The three looked at each other, fighting intent rising in Lilyʼs and Khavalʼs hearts.

”How will it be fair for me to defeat a peak Divine Lord?” Lily mumbled loud enough for Khaval and Aakesh to hear, while her tone contained a helpless sigh as if she were being forced to battle.

Khavalʼs large lips twitched, but he couldnʼt respond since Lily was correct. If he were to face Lily, he would be met with a cruel beatdown. He then looked at Aakesh and was ready to prove himself.

Aakesh simply smiled since he had no problem proving his superiority over his two children. But Aakesh decided that would be the last way since there could be hidden danger in the building.

He looked around and found nothing other than the battle arena. Since there was no hidden danger, he jumped into the arena.

He then told Lily and Khaval to jump into the arena as well. Their faces turned solemn as they found their energy being blocked.

Standing in the arena, they were no different than ordinary non-cultivators. The only difference was the strong bodies of the two of them.

”Damn it!” Lily complained loudly since her physique was no better than Khavalʼs.

Khaval was a Chaos Whale, the overlord of the ocean in the Primordial Dimension. Even the strongest Epochal Feline would have to be courteous to a Chaos Whale. The difference in physique strength was too big between the two races.

But since Lily was a True God while Khaval was only a peak Divine Lord, and there was also the influence of Aakeshʼs bloodline, the physique between the two was the same, with only a slight edge to Lily.

The two of them then looked at Aakesh with horror. Aakeshʼs physique was more formidable than both the Chaos Whale and Epochal Feline at the same level.

Even when Lily was at the True God level, she was no match to Aakesh physique-wise.

***

A blue number appeared above the heads of the three participants, with the number depending on their entry into the arena.

Aakesh was first, Lily was second, and Khaval was third. The next moment, the numbers began jumbling together, and a blue light joined the numbers two and three, meaning Lily and Khaval would battle first.

Aakesh was pushed out of the arena, and an energy barrier appeared between Lily and Khaval, stopping them from fighting before the time.

Aakesh cheered for both of them since he couldnʼt take a side between the two of them. There was a counter in the air starting from ten, and as it touched zero, the energy disappeared, announcing the start of the battle.

The two were left with no energy skills but only physical skills with the cost of blood or life force.

It had been too long since the two of them battled, so they didnʼt immediately use too much of their strength and just tested the two sides.

Boom!

The two broke the sound barrier and clashed with each other. Khaval, being the one with the heaviest mass, forced Lily back.

Lily was the more agile of the two, so she immediately stabilized herself and pounced back.

Aakesh suddenly looked to his left and saw a pair of eyes staring at the battle on the stage. His eyes immediately turned cold and a small ball of dark energy appeared in his hand.

It immediately took the shape of an arrow, and Aakesh released it at the pair of eyes.

Boom!

An explosion rang, but it didnʼt affect the battle on the stage, as if two situations were happening in different spaces.

”Hey, man, why are you attacking me for no reason?” A voice filled with discontent rang in Aakeshʼs ears.

Aakesh frowned since his attack seemed to have no effect on the stranger. Even though he hadnʼt used his full strength, it was still more than enough to cause some serious danger to an early True God.

Aakesh was confident that the strangerʼs cultivation was only Divine Lord, or he would have never attacked out of nowhere without finding the purpose.

The stranger was an energy lifeform, and Aakesh didnʼt fear it. Only on the stage was his energy locked.

”I am not your enemy. Just let me watch the battle, man.”

The stranger commented upon seeing Aakesh preparing another attack with more power than the last time.

***

Unaware of the scenes playing out outside the battle stage, Lily and Khaval were battling for victory. The two knew that it wasnʼt routine training, so they didnʼt try to use any attack that could cause grave harm to the other party.

But at the end of the day, for a battle to be challenging, the two couldnʼt hold themselves back from too much. In only a few minutes of battle, small gashes had spread across Khavalʼs body, with blood continuously oozing from them.

Lily was in no better condition, but she had a smaller number of injuries of the two. She was only slightly better than Khaval physique-wise, and that was showing in the battle.
