Chapter 1492 Trial of Powers(14)

Chapter 1492: Trial of Powers(14)

After making plans to flip the table, Huo Jinglin needed Hiron to go away from his territory so that when a group of tribe leaders requested Hironʼs audience, Hiron wouldnʼt be there, and the situation would become uncontrollable in Hironʼs sonʼs hands, forcing him to take a drastic step.

To make Hiron leave his territory despite knowing about his presence, Huo Jinglin needed to do something, and only another Level 4 could force Hiron to become cautious enough to leave.

The Helennis tribe was holding a member of the Gesin tribe, the neighboring tribe, with a Level 4 leader.

Huo Jinglin not only freed the guy but also helped him safely reach the area of influence of the Gesin tribe, where they could easily get a piece of information.

Due to being in captivity for several years, the prisonerʼs body was extremely weak. Huo Jinglin had another purpose behind freeing the prisoner.

Once the prisoner reached the area of influence, Huo Jinglin used his identity as a member of the Helennis tribe and murdered the man in daylight, with many witnesses.

Since both the Helennis and Gesin tribes were powerful with a Level 4 leader, no one dared to jump in. For them, both sides were overlords.

Huo Jinglin not only murdered the prisoner but also humiliated him, using the vilest words for the Gesin tribe.

Even Huo Jinglin was shocked by the choice of words he used since he had no idea that he could be that crass.

Whatever happened between Huo Jinglin and the prisoner easily traveled to the ears of the Gesin tribe members and then the leader.

The Gesin tribe was aware of the prisoner since it wasnʼt a hidden deed years ago, but killing the prisoner in their area of influence and abusing the tribe was slapping their faces.

As Huo Jinglin wanted, the Gesin tribe leader immediately left for an answer. Hiron also found out about the issue and couldnʼt help but helplessly sigh since he knew it was Huo Jinglin behind all of it.

Hiron didnʼt dare meet the tribe leader in Helennisʼs territory. He wasnʼt afraid of the man, but a battle between two Level 4s would cause irreparable damage to the area, which Hiron didnʼt want to see.

After Hiron left the tribe, Huo Jinglin used those two days to instigate some of the Helennis tribe members and made an alliance with them, using his identity as the challenger.

The same set of people he had allied with came to his aid and attacked the leaderʼs residence.

Hiron was too strong for other tribes to put up a fight, but betrayal at an opportune moment could turn the situation.

Huo Jinglin only wanted to complete the challenge and didnʼt care about what happened with the allied members after he left.

”Letʼs go,” One of the attackers immediately came to Huo Jinglin, grabbed him, and rushed out of the area.

Huo Jinglin used his distinct identity as a feature, making the people believe that he had come from a powerful background.

Greed could break anything, and loyalty was no exception to that.

”What if the leader succeeds?” A hooded man asked after reaching their designated safe territory.

The group had no intention of revealing their alliances but couldnʼt sit silent when Huo Jinglin was just a slash away from his death.

Huo Jinglin has used both greed and threat when allying. He not only promised them to help their lives reach a new pedestal but also threatened them in case they betrayed him.

Huo Jinglin used the knowledge of the trial of power for his benefit. Every being living there knew about the trial of power but didnʼt know much about it other than top families.

No one knew more about the trial of power than Huo Jinglin, so he used that to show his greater illusionary background.

After Huo Jinglin was rescued, he told the group of people about Hironʼs plan for the war, and they couldnʼt help but turn pale upon hearing that.

If Hiron reached Level 5, the status of the Helennis tribe would further rise, which would also help their group. They couldnʼt help but cry in their hearts, thinking about the grave mistake they had made by trusting Huo Jinglin.

Huo Jinglin had already expected such thoughts in the minds of allies, and he had informed them despite knowing that.

Knowing that Hiron could reach Level 5, and now that they betrayed Hiron, they had more motivation to stop Hiron from succeeding. In their minds, Huo Jinglin was already a giant.

People needed the stimuli of fear and wealth to work harder. Huo Jinglin told them that he would award each of them with a heavenly material that would give them a chance to touch the Level 3 mark.

What Huo Jinglin didnʼt tell them was that he would do it after he had reached Level 4, but he only kept that in his heart.

As Huo Jinglin had expected, the combination of fear and greed made them work harder and more efficiently.

Using the group of people, he met with tribe leaders, and they no longer showed distrust as earlier when the identity of the group of allies was revealed.

The tribe leaders had doubts about why the Helennis tribe members would help them. Huo Jinglin used that to further build his and the groupʼs momentum.

Nothing impressed the majority of people more than someone who was willing to sacrifice their personal betterment for others. But simple sentiment wasnʼt enough, so Huo Jinglin shared the next battleground and the number of deaths.

Two days later, on the 28th day, a large meeting of several tribes was held, and they came to a unanimous decision to establish peace. It all happened in the presence of Hiron.

Since the sacrificial ritual would fail if others knew about the involvement of the Helennis tribe, Hiron could do nothing.

Similarly, despite the tribe leaders knowing about Hironʼs plan and the number of deaths he had caused, they also could do nothing.

Only one man was happy with whatever happened, and it was Huo Jinglin, who smiled after the announcement.
