Chapter 1484 Huo Jinglin(6)

Chapter 1484: Huo Jinglin(6)

When his eyes fell on the masked figure, Huo Jinglin sincerely bowed down to his waist and thanked them.

The masked figure ignored Huo Jinglinʼs actions and instead tapped on the energy wall, blocking him from entering the city.

Following the figureʼs movement, a hole the size of the tip of a needle emerged on the barrier, and soon, it grew to the same size as the shrunk Huo Jinglin.

Huo Jinglin didnʼt feel awkward after getting no response from the masked figure since they were clearly of the Sacred Creator level. He instead focused on the hole in the barrier.

The masked figure then gestured for him to walk inside and left.

Huo Jinglin followed the order and walked inside. That time, he faced no restriction and effortlessly crossed the energy wall.

But when he looked ahead, he found that the entrance and the city had long disappeared, and he was in an ice cave. Before he could try to understand, a blue screen popped out in front of him, and immediately after, content appeared on it.

After reading the content, Huo Jinglin understood that he was facing his first challenge. According to the screen, the ice cave he was in was the residence of a powerful Level 4 figure who was also a challenger in the past.

There was a garden of Frozen Acratic Nine-Ring herbs in the deepest part of the ice cave. It was an immensely beneficial herb for ice users and helped in the breakthrough from Level 2 to Level 3.

Huo Jinglin needed to pick one Frozen Acratic Nine-Ring herb, and once he had done it, he would return to the cityʼs entrance. The challenge seemed easy from the sound of it, but it wasnʼt.

Every herb had a guardian, and Huo Jinglin needed to defeat the guardian to pick it.

Before choosing the herb, Huo Jinglin wouldnʼt be able to know the details of the guardian, and the guardianʼs power level varied from Level 1 to 3.

If he somehow picked a herb with a Level 3 guardian, his result would be death.

After reading the details, Huo Jinglin became curious about the identity of the challenger who owned the ice cave in the past.

From the number prefix, Huo Jinglin knew that he wasnʼt the first to face the trial of power. But since there was no way for him to know about the past challengers at the moment, he stopped worrying about it. It would only waste his time.

What Huo Jinglin needed to do was find the herb, pick it, and return to the entrance.

He was a fire user, so the environment in the ice cave was detrimental to him and made him feel uncomfortable.

Ding!

[Host, the trial of power had appeared once again.]

Aakesh was conversing with a new store customer when suddenly the systemʼs mechanical voice rang in his head.

Aakesh couldnʼt help but raise his eyes in surprise since he knew what ʼTrial of Powerʼ meant.

It was a trial designed by a Deva and it would randomly appear in any of the three dimensions. At one time, there could only be one challenger and the rewards from it were so heaven-defying that it would always cause a war between top races.

Even Aakesh felt curious about it and wanted to see if he could participate, but unfortunately, he also couldnʼt break the rule set by Deva and become the second challenger.

”Do you know who the challenger is?” Aakesh asked the system.

Since the system knew about the activation of the trial, it must also know about the challenger.

[Yes, Host, Customer Huo Jinglin had been selected as the challenger.]

The system immediately replied since it found out about the trial through him when Huo Jinglin tried to activate the Ultimate Store Card.

The teleportation function of the Ultimate Store Card wasnʼt ultimate like it was in the Primal Dimension. And even if it were, it would have been unable to break free from the restriction of the trial space since that was set by Deva themselves.

”Oh,” Aakesh responded since he recognized Huo Jinglin. He couldnʼt help but become curious about him since getting selected as a challenger was something even rarer than ascending immediately after finding a treasure.

The last challenger of the trial of power was a powerful creature from the third dimension, and it was one of the few whom Aakesh respected and wanted to meet once he ascended to the Primordial Dimension.

Considering that, if Huo Jinglin survived, he might surpass any power structure that had ever existed in the Sacred Dimension.

Unaware of what the trial meant, Huo Jinglin cautiously walked toward the deepest part of the cave.

Reaching the garden wasnʼt without challenge since, as he walked deeper, the intensity of the cold grew and suppressed him.

Huo Jinglin could only hope that he wouldnʼt come across a Level 2 or Level 3 guardian since he would have no chance of surviving against them in a suppressed state.

After walking for three hours, Huo Jinglin found his physical and mental strength at its lowest, so he immediately sat down to meditate and recover.

Since he couldnʼt activate his inner world, he was without Sacred stones, so he could only slowly recover using whatever fire element was there in the cave.

There was no sun or moon, so after an unknown amount of time, Huo Jinglin opened his eyes.

His physical condition wasnʼt optimal due to the chill pervading his body, but his mental condition was good after the meditation, and he had also recovered two-thirds of his energy.

Huo Jinglin wanted to enter the garden after fully recovering but was unable to due to his weak physical condition.

Time flew by, and Huo Jinglin finally reached the garden.

He couldnʼt help but open his eyes wide in surprise when he saw the endless number of Frozen Acratic Nine-Ring herbs. Even in the Sacred Dimension, it was a valuable resource for ice users.

Just from this garden of herbs, Huo Jinglin could earn several times more than the total wealth of his father, a Sacred Creator.
