Chapter 1491 Trial of Power(13)

Chapter 1491: Trial of Power(13)

Getting no attendance from Hiron prompted the group to give up on the war.

Hironʼs son couldnʼt let that happen. If things went out that way, it would be his death. No one knew better about Hironʼs cruelty than him.

So when they were leaving, a group of people attacked the back of the group. Since there was a Level 3 leading the tribal group, the attackers immediately left after killing a few members and seriously injuring one tribe leader.

In anger, the Level 3 tribe leader and other tribe leaders charged toward the attackers. The attacking group was only led by a Level 2, so it was easy, but when the Level 3 man saw the face of the Level 2 guy after removing his mask, the manʼs face turned ugly.

In the range of ten thousand miles, the Helennis tribe was the overlord, having a Level 4 leader. There were sixteen tribes with Level 3 leaders and more than fifty tribes with a Level 2 leader.

The Level 2 guy turned out to be the son of the Bueri tribeʼs leader. The Bueri tribe was not only one of the sixteen tribes, but it was also the only one of the sixteen to have two Level 3 members, making it the strongest tribe below the Helennis tribe in the range of ten thousand miles.

The man could no longer stay out of the war since the Bueriʼs tribe leader only had one son, and that died in his hands.

The man could sense that things were moving as if someone were manipulating them, but he could do nothing. Huo Jinglin also saw the scene from afar.

He couldnʼt help but thank Hironʼs son for making his challenge easier. The sudden conflict had sprouted doubts in the hearts of the leaders, which he could manipulate at the required moment.

Things were going Huo Jinglinʼs way, so he became more confident in his actions until the twenty-first day. One of the guards saw him changing his disguise, so he immediately became an enemy of the Helennis tribe.

When Hiron learned about it, he immediately rewarded the guard with a large sum of wealth. It wasnʼt because he found an infiltrator but because Huo Jinglin was finally visible to the members of his tribe.

The past few days have been immensely uncomfortable for him. He knew about Huo Jinglinʼs goal and his position but could do nothing due to the restrictions set on him.

It all happened coincidentally, so Huo Jinglin could only curse his luck and have to escape the core territory of the Helennis tribe. His actual appearance was distinct from that of the tribe members living in ten thousand miles, so he needed to find another guise so as not to stand out from others.

After finally leaving the group of enemies behind, Huo Jinglin gasped for breath. He only had one more week left for him to complete the challenge, so he needed to do things quickly, and the plan had already been set in motion.

He wasnʼt only running from enemies over the past two days but also searching for clues, and as fortune would have it, he found things.

He found the war pattern to be in the format of a sacrificial ritual. Huo Jinglin found it because he found it to be of the same pattern as what happened to him.

He would never be able to forget it, so as he found more and more things about the locations of the significant battles where more than ten people had died, he formed a pattern.

Huo Jinglin had an idea of what Hiron wanted to do from that, but he needed to prove it to other tribes so they would move away from the war.

Huo Jinglin already had an idea of where the next war would take place, calculating the nodes.

The last node would get filled on the 31st day when the Helennis tribe would join the war, and it would result in heavy death.

”Do you have any last words?” An executioner asked as he readied his sword to cut the criminalʼs head.

The criminal in question was none other than Huo Jinglin, who got caught on the 26th day and was immediately sentenced to death as the Helennis tribe showed one proof after another to prove Huo Jinglinʼs involvement in the chaos over the past several days.

Hearing the executionerʼs words, Huo Jinglin could only sigh helplessly. He had already tried to inform the people about Hironʼs plan, but the proofs submitted by the Helennis tribe were strongly against him, and many didnʼt want to take a chance between a stranger and the strongest of all in ten thousand miles.

Huo Jinglin simply took a deep breath and attempted to use the information to survive, but the result was the same.

Seeing that situation, he stopped struggling and prepared himself for death. Dying during the challenge was akin to dying in reality, so the people he knew flashed in his mind.

The executioner channeled energy, and following that, a sharp red glow appeared around the giant broadswordʼs edges. It was a public execution since Huo Jinglin had become a rowdy figure in the minds of tribes in just a few days and had unprecedented hatred for him.

Huo Jinglin simply closed his eyes and waited for the sword to take his head, but despite waiting for some time, the sword never came.

Boom!

Before he could open his eyes to understand what was happening, a loud explosion rang in Huo Jinglinʼs ears, and its source was not very far from him.

The heat released from the explosion forced Huo Jinglin to open his eyes and run. He immediately did that and finally looked behind after reaching a safe distance from the source of the explosion.

When Huo Jinglin saw that scene, he couldnʼt help but raise a wide sneer. His sneer contained a sigh of relief as well since the chess piece that he had placed several days earlier finally came to his help, and there could be no better time than that moment.
