Chapter 1276: Close for the Day(23)

”Accept defeat and become my beast,” Eziya stated with a beautiful smile.

For a moment, even the beast felt its heart pounding, looking at the smile. The excitement that had appeared on its face after the previous question immediately disappeared the next moment after hearing Eziyaʼs condition. It immediately shook its head, showing its refusal to what Eziya said.

Eziya didnʼt say anything in response but increased the intensity of her rubbing and squishing. After some time, Eziya again asked the question, but the beast stayed silent and ignored her.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

Eziya had repeated the same statement to the beast several times, but after the first time, the beast completely ignored her.

As for what Eziya was doing to the beast, the Chinocho seemed to have given up on everything. Its ears stopped down. Its eyes had turned blank, with no interest in living anymore.

Even Eziya seemed to have no idea what to do next. The beast was completely ignoring her and no longer struggling to get released from her grip.

Eziya had thought the plan would work, but now she was growing tired of squishing the beastʼs face or rubbing its belly. An idea seemed to have suddenly formed in her head.

”If you agree to accept defeat, I will stop and never do this with you,” Eziya suddenly stated.

It was her last attempt at that. She had no other idea how to defeat the beast. She could never break through the defense of the beast, so if it didnʼt succeed, she would accept defeat and lose the taming battle.

The beast showed a reaction after hearing Eziya. It seemed to ponder over what Eziya said, making Eziya breathe a sigh of relief. Since the beast didnʼt ignore her, it was a positive step.

The Chinochos were playful creatures, so they liked to play. It was the reason behind it playing with Eziya at first. The chasing round was also fun for it, but what Eziya did next made it feel disappointed in her.

When Eziya suddenly proposed the condition, the beast didnʼt refuse because of its freedom. The Chinochos werenʼt solitary creatures. They liked to live with others.

The beast refused because it didnʼt like what Eziya was doing with it and believed that she would keep doing it even after the battle.

So once the beast heard the promise that Eziya would never attempt something like it, it began pondering. It still couldnʼt trust Eziya after what she did, so it decided to refuse.

But at the same time, it decided to give Eziya a try since it liked the playing session with her.

Eziya was disappointed when she saw the headshake and was ready to give up when she heard a child-like voice ringing in her head.

The beast was willing to give a shot to Eziya, and if she wanted, she would need to play with the beast and defeat it without attempting the petty tricks of rubbing its belly or squishing its face.

Eziyaʼs consciousness returned to the store, and the next moment, a wide smile plastered over her face.

The smile immediately disappeared the next moment when she felt a prickly pain hit her. The next moment, the screen on the device lit up, and the details of the taming contract appeared.

With a glance, the entire content on the screen was engraved in her mind. She then looked at the beast card, her smile reappearing.

Tsk!

The next moment, she made a clicking sound with a slight hint of frustration due to her promise of never rubbing the Chinochoʼs belly or squishing its face.

”Aakesh, complete the sale,” Eziya asked, passing the card to Aakesh.

Aakesh nodded and took the card from her hands. As he glanced at the beast on the card, he couldnʼt help but become surprised and take a second look at Eziya.

Aakesh never expected Eziya to summon a beast from the Primordial Dimension. Autumn and Katrina had their fates interlinked with him, so it was bound to be better than many, but he was not expecting Eziya to have that kind of luck.

It was true that the Chinocho was a beast that had no attacking skills, but with the supporting skills it had, it would turn the tide in favor of its user, so there was a reason that it was the most expensive of the three beasts from the Primordial Dimension.

A curiosity regarding Eziya seemed to rise in Aakeshʼs heart since summoning a beast like the Chinocho couldnʼt be only due to luck. Eziya seemed to have some interesting events ahead of her.

Keep in mind, Eziya was the lowest ranked cultivator in her entire race. Since Sunkashtha couldnʼt procreate, all ten of them were born at the same time.

She was only the youngest by a difference of microseconds, so her talent wasnʼt that great to have such a destiny.

Even though Aakesh was quick to hide his expression, Eziya still caught sight of it. The smile on her face turned even wider since she herself had the same emotion toward Aakesh.

Before entering the store, Eziya took it as some powerhouse passing their time, but now that she had seen a beast like the Chinocho, her expectations had grown immensely.

Time would tell what the future held for Eziya.

”You need to pay one higher and eight hundred thousand ultimate Sacred stones,” Aakesh informed, returning the beast card to Eziya.

Eziya paid for the beast using the card she bought after Aakesh introduced them to her.

”See you tomorrow,” Eziya said with a smile and then left the store.

She had decided to become a regular at the store and also bring her sisters the next day.

It was good for Aakesh since Eziya was one of the few customers he had a curiosity about.

Time flew by, and hours passed in the blink of an eye.

The sunset arrived in Thorr and its nearby cities.

Aakesh stood up from his chair and told the remaining customers to leave and return the next day to complete their purchases.

When only he, Lily, and Khaval were left alone in the store, he closed its doors, bringing an end to a fruitful day for the store.
