The First Store System

Chapter 1109: Bet!

Aakesh stepped forward and closed the door, bringing an end to another fruitful day for the store.

Autumn and Katrina were still present in the store since Aakesh and Lily were going to show their growth over these years to them.

”Letʼs go!”

Aakesh commented, and the next moment, a white light covered all four of them. It disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, and with it, they had also vanished.

Katrina and Autumn looked sophisticated when they saw the selection area. Just the weapons alone were enough to blind their eyes.

The weapons here were made from the best material available in the Multiverse, and even Autumn and Katrina wouldnʼt be able to handle their power at the fully unlocked stage.

”Just who is your family?” Katrina asked in shock.

She believed that whatever Aakesh was going through had to do with his family, and since they were training him, he didnʼt remember anything about his past.

”No one wants to know it more than I,” Aakesh chuckled.

Aakesh then proceeded forward at the switch. Finding the environment he needed the most at that moment, he pushed the button.

The next moment, a space crack formed in the shape of a portal.

”Letʼs go!” Aakesh commented and then stepped inside the portal.

Aakesh even let Lily not train today, so she was extremely excited and followed Aakesh.

Katrina took one last look at the weapon section, sighed with helplessness, and then stepped into the portal after Autumn.

When the teleportation was complete, they found themselves in a vast, rocky terrain. It wasnʼt uneven, as the mountains were located at regular intervals.

It was similar to the terrain Aakesh had trained on with Autumn and Katrina in the Conspiracy Continent.

”Letʼs battle!”

Rumble!

Aakesh called out, and suddenly a battle stage formed out of nowhere with the same surface as the ground and with him at the center of the stage.

The battle stage was vast, to say the least, as it spanned over one hundred and eight kilometers from one end to another on all four sides.

Aakesh also liked battles, so he decided to be the first. As for who his opponent was out of the two, he didnʼt care.

Katrina, a battle genius like Aakesh, took the challenge and jumped on the stage, standing only a few meters away from him.

”Let me see how much you have grown over these years,” Katrina commented, and the next moment, her cultivation level dropped to intermediate Divine Transformation, the same level as Aakesh.

Ding!

With no source of direction, a bell rang, announcing the start of the battle. Lily and Autumn sat down on their chairs, ready to enjoy the fight.

”Do you want to bet at what cultivation level Katrina will win against Aakesh?” Lily suddenly asked Autumn.

”> Autumn liked the proposal, so she responded, ”What are we betting on?”

”If you win, I will let you meet other Epochal Felines after the battles, and if I win, you will be my servant for three years,” Lily answered.

”I agree.” Autumn accepted the bet, responding after a long pause.

”Aakesh will lose to Katrina at peak Divine Transformation level,” Autumn added.

”The bet is on,” Lily replied with a smile.

***

Unaware of the bet between Autumn and Lily, Aakesh and Katrina readied for the battle.

As soon as the bell rang, Aakesh pounced ahead. His speed quick enough to create afterimages.

Katrina raised her hands and grabbed when Aakesh was close to her. The next moment, her hands passed through empty air, touching nothing.

Suddenly, a grave sense of danger engulfed Katrina. She immediately turned to her left and saw Aakesh looking coldly at her with an energy ball in his hands.

Even though she saw the attack coming, she could do nothing to stop or dodge it due to Aakeshʼs quick actions.

BOOM!

As the energy ball slammed into her, a loud explosion rang in the area, creating cracks on the battle stage.

A large dust cloud erupted, blocking the vision of everyone. When it subsided, the scene on the stage presented itself to Aakesh and the duo, who were watching the battle.

Katrina was nowhere in sight on the battle stage, as if her existence were nothing but an illusion.

The next moment, a blue light covered the area on the stage where cracks had appeared, and around a hundred meters away from him, a white light appeared.

The light disappeared as quickly as it had arrived, and when it left, Katrina appeared on the stage. She had a shocked expression on her face as only a second had passed in the battle, and she was already dead.

She had a horrified expression as she looked at Aakesh, but soon it calmed down. Katrina had long known what a monster Aakesh was. Even earlier, defeating Aakesh at the same level was impossible, but it wasnʼt such an overwhelming, instant victory for him. She understood that Aakesh had grown so much stronger than she had expected.

Katrinaʼs cultivation dropped once again, but this time, it stopped at peak Divine Transformation.

Katrina could already see an overwhelming victory for Aakesh at the late Divine Transformation, so she didnʼt waste her time fighting at that level.

Ding!

The bell rang once again, announcing the start of the second battle.

Aakesh had a calm and indifferent expression on his face, and he made his move. His hands had turned into a fist, and he punched.

Boom!

Katrina punched back in response. Their fists clashed, resulting in an explosion.

Aakesh stayed at the same spot, not even moving an inch, while Katrina was thrown back more than a meter, with some of her skin torn in her fist.

Autumn had a worried expression when she saw the result of the first clash. She had bet for Katrina to win at this level.

Autumn didnʼt care about the punishment, as even without the bet, she would smilingly become subordinate to Lily; after all, she had given her her name. What she cared about was the reward if she won.

She wasnʼt like Katrina, who had no interest in her race. Autumn was the opposite, as she wanted to meet her family. She had already lived a long enough solitary life; now she wanted to live with a family.
